WTF?

You edited The Matrix horribly. It's an R rated movie, I understand, but being that you have to be 13 to be on this site, editing out language is pointless. I understand doing it for legal reasons, but come on. You butchered a great film. End of story.

If you want to impress me, get the original Star Wars Trilogy. I'm talking about classic release versions, not greedo shoots first, sarlaac has a beak versions.

Question:
When the time comes that the movies DO require Gaia gold/cash, will it be a one time fee (once you pay for the movie you don't have to pay again to watch it a second or third time) or will it be a repeatable fee (watch the movie at the risk of your own gaia cash)?

I'm asking this as I know there will be those times when the internet will kick out mid-showing or maybe there's just some really bad lag on Gaia which makes the movie unwatchable. If the you have to pay each time to see the movie, will you be giving refunds should the movie be unwatchable for some reason?

I myself would be more than happy to give gaia cash to (a limited number) of gaians who aren't in the US/don't have stores near them, for a gold fee. Depending on how much the price would be for the cinema of course. And it's limited by how much real money I have. I have bills you know. razz
From what I've seen (Space Jam, lulz =D) the movie quality is good, loading times are good, and everything is... well... good. A few points to make though.

~ If it's only going to be older movies that come out - nobody will actually pay to see them. We have these things on DVD plxkthx. And if we don't, we will - we can watch them whenever we want, even if the servers won't play nice, and for pretty much the same price.

~ How will you handle films from other territories? For the love of god, don't do what you did with the quests and make them "available to the US and Canada only". Because that would make most users of the site less inclined to part with their money next time. Especially if we're talking about anime releases (which is where I can easily see this going).

~ Speaking about anime, this system can easily do legally what fansubs do illegally. We can preview a show for a minimum fee before buying a boxset. Now THAT, I would be interested in paying for. But only if the UK (along with other territories) was considered.

~ Does this signal the end of "watch this trailer for an item" quest? Just because I'm insanely curious =)

~ And, final thought, I saw no full-screen button. The option should be there (especially if we're paying for it) to watch it full-screened without speech bubbles and tomatos interrupting the performance XD

So, all in all, good system - at least it worked well for me first time with no lagging to speak of. Don't know if many people will pay to use it though. I mean, I have Gaia Cash - but I'm not going to spend it on a movie I already have in the house =)

Folks... it's natural that the cinema's will be very slow. Everytime something new is announced, it's slow. Everyone wants to immediately see what the buzz is about.

I believe the cash shop has a lot to do with this new cinema. They're going to be making loads of real cash which I'm sure will be going to another server or two to help keep the server running smoothly and able to handle all the bandwidth being used (and faster).

Well, I hope that some of the older ones are still available to watch. Not that I don't like the new movies you guys brought in, but I would still like some of the older ones as an option.
It tells me to download "IDM FlashPlugin" but the button doesn't work. Direct link please?

I live in the United States, where The Matrix was funded and released first. I'm looking on the back of the DVD box right now, and it says R. It is rated R in the U.S.A.

Failed, your trolling attempt has.

Well, I'm not talking about U.S.A am I?
Obviously,I don't live there and here(Where I live), it's rated M.
Why are you watching it on Gaia if you own it? >->

i.e. You have no reason to complain :3

And here, in the States, is where the Matrix was both created [as Adriel said] and where Gaia is located. So shush please about how it's "not rated R". It is. Maybe not universally, but it is where it matters [i.e. where Gaia may or may not get sued].

Besides, it's not about rating. It's about the editing of the movie. Rating is basically a moot point.
The new movies are fantastic! And I had no problems at all with the screen...woot!
