New Gaia Cinemas (Love Matrix? Sick of it? Other Concerns?)

I really don't see the point of you guys shelling out for the rights to movies... aren't you kinda losing out there? ^_^* I mean, I guess it's good for us, even if we're stuck with the edited version of The Matrix and all.

I just want to know where all the old crappy PSAs are. I LOVE those. I'm assuming they're still around, but why aren't there links to them on the list of showings? I'd much rather watch those than The Matrix ^_^*

All in all I think the "lobby" feature is a little TOO complicated. A simpler list of the movies would be nice, without the weird "how many people are currently watching" thing we have right now. Also I couldn't get the NPC to actually do anything... and he's HIDEOUS to boot. I mean, I understand that you're trying to make a joke off the typical high school movie theater employee, but good lord, I want to close the screen just to get his ugly face out of my field of vision!

I'd still like the option of watching the weird old educational shorts. But thanks for getting some better quality stuff, too. I was just telling someone last week how much I wanted to see Gattaca again.

And I hope anime episodes are still in the mix. I went out and bought Mushishi based on loving what I saw here and I'm getting the next one with holiday loot money!

And I didn't see any implication of it in the first post, but if you guys ARE considering charging Gaia Cash to watch the movies, well...
I wouldn't do that. Ever. I bought the Gaia Cash to get items, not to watch movies that I may end up not even liking.

When the time comes that the movies DO require Gaia gold/cash, will it be a one time fee (once you pay for the movie you don't have to pay again to watch it a second or third time) or will it be a repeatable fee (watch the movie at the risk of your own gaia cash)?

I'm asking this as I know there will be those times when the internet will kick out mid-showing or maybe there's just some really bad lag on Gaia which makes the movie unwatchable. If the you have to pay each time to see the movie, will you be giving refunds should the movie be unwatchable for some reason?

I myself would be more than happy to give gaia cash to (a limited number) of gaians who aren't in the US/don't have stores near them, for a gold fee. Depending on how much the price would be for the cinema of course. And it's limited by how much real money I have. I have bills you know. razz

It's nice that you are making an offer like that (with reasonable exchange rates assuming), but I was asking about something completely different (no offense). My question was asking about the payment system for the movies, whether one would need to repeat payment to watch the movies more than once (should one want to do such a thing) and if there would be refunds should a movie not work.

I hope you guys can fix the qhole throwing things at the sreen I find that somewhat immatire during the movie it ruins everything and people really wont stop you should add a option to see the throwing of tomatoes and etc. or not.

Well apparently I am not the only one with problems... As is I was barely able to run Gaia cinemas before, but I must say that I noticed about 3 tracking cookies trying to latch on from the flash files, maybe more because it never fully loaded... and there are far to many flash pieces on the screen (sends my computer into fits of 100% processor usage) next I finally get to the familiar window that is the towns/cinema thing (after fighting with the popup blocking) next I find that a new plugin is needed? good job, I can't install new plugins because I don't go admin with the internet on. (to many security holes) So I say thanks a lot for screwing me out of one of the fun things of Gaia...

(Note: when I want a new plugins, I get the redistributable packs and then disconnect from the net before installing, some options would be nice...)

and here is something fun to think about... T1 connection and it's too slow? wow... I wonder whats next... the entire site in flash and javascript? Oh yay! crash my computer please, thank you.

maybe some system requirement warnings would be nice...

Screen BGM works fine, when the movie starts I get error sounds and movie Gattaca does not load on the movie screen. I just get the black screen of death. Toggling the different pause, play, timeline controls doesn't load the movie either. Reloading doesn't work either. D:

Ok the new cinema's look awesome! I love the fact that idiots cant block the screen anymore but the paying Cash for movies on here is really discouraging. Gold would be understandable but we have to fork out our money for MC's and Gaia cash shop stuff anyways now for movies? I think thats a little bit of a rip off. Now I know you have to pay for rights to show the movie's and such but with so many things being 'cash only' now it's kind of a hindrance to all the people that are on here and can't spend money on that stuff. It will be discouraging to a lot of people if you keep coming out with all this stuff that has to be bought with real cash. Just a few words of wisdom. ^^ <3 Love you guys!!
