New Gaia Cinemas (Love Matrix? Sick of it? Other Concerns?)

Whatsup Gaians! We hope you're enjoying the new content and the ability to create private showtimes for you and your friends. Yes, all the movies currently showing are FREEEE!

Note: If you are trying to watch a movie and the screen goes pink, hang in there, it should go away after a few seconds. If you have to wait more than 20 seconds try adjusting the timeline by scrubbing forward or backward with the movie controls. If all else fails try reloading the movie. This is an issue we’re working on and we are hoping to have it fixed ASAP.

I understand your concern and we're trying hard to deliver as much free content as possible. It was not an easy to task to bring Matrix and other content to Gaia for free but we DID IT! Please be patient and understand that we are really trying out best biggrin

I'm assuming that since Gaia is accutally showing movies that are big production movies and not just B rated "When the hell was this movie made?" type movies they are going to have to pay some sort of fee to the people who made them or some sort of other big film business bologney. Because if they didn't then why would there be a need to rent or buy the dvd? There wouldn't. And therefore they are loosing out on money.

Anyway it seems like a nice little add on to the variety of things we can do here. So yay for that.

Cinemas always freeze up for me and I have to re load them constantly, if theres a pay ticket system and I noticed the time left thing in the corner, is there consideration for this like a time period to cancel in case it errors like crazy, or its just tough luck?

I took a gander around the new cinemas but it's having that initial lag that's customary for new (or updated) features.

Just wondering if Animatrix would be made available in the future. The matrix trilogy is okay, but I perfer the short animated series they came out with as a side feature. I'll gladly buy a ticket for that, especially if users have the option of choosing which animation they wish to see (there's multiple 'stories' and animation styles).

every time i try to open the new cinemas i can see the ticket stand and a car starts moving outside the window then it crashes my browser. I've never had any issues with gaia crashing firefox before. and i am using the most recent version on a mac.

Honestly... I like the idea of having to pay gaia gold for tickets, its a nice little gold sink that I think would/will work quite well in the future. However, I do not like the gaia cash option.. because from what I understand it will be "gaia cash only tickets".

In all honestly I don't think that anyone's going to pay gaia cash for a movie that they can find pirated on another site. At the rate that gaia's going with gaia cash only items and opportunities, many gaians are going to be discouraged and leave.
