Welcome to Gaia! ::

I don't really mind, as long as I getta show my boobs too! I think a little more cover-up would be nice.

I also notice that most of the people against changing it are boys. Hee hee! I laugh. Has anyone else noticed that?

Too many items on gaia were girly items. Now that we men are getting some service, we are defending it with all our might!.

Way to go! Good luck! I'll be rooting for you as long as it doesn't involve approving of items that have different poses for male and female avatars.
Just to throw this out here:

The edit made in the other thread is still quite tasteful and beautiful. It's well edited, and mostly allows the image to remain the same while appeasing everyone, except people who just want to see breasts hanging out from behind their avatars.

So what is this side of the argument really about? Is it about defending the art? Is it about telling everyone who disagrees that they're an idiot? Is it about wanting to see smooth round funbags uncensored on the Alruna?

I posted in that thread - to say thank you.

And the Alruna's "funbags" are censored.
Some anime remove nipples to make it look like "artistic nudity".

...

For all I care, she could be wearing a bodysuit!.

By my understanding, it's about defending the artist's original design and the people who appreciate it for what it is. The last two times a major change happened to an item after it was released, there were exceedingly ugly lashbacks and people regretting they had not spoken up when the early complaints were coming.

This time, we're going to see to it that the artist understands that their original work is loved and respected, and that changes--if any--should only be made after the initial outcries have settled down.

And I commented in the other thread that the suggested edit would be an excellent direction to take if it is decided that a change must be made.
At first I was surprised by Alruna but I do think she looks lovely. ( I also didn't mind seeing Anurla either. ninja )

As far as I'm concerned, the art is fine. If Alruna appears in greater detail she'll probably be covered up though I'm betting it will be with the bare minimum of clothing. xd

I'm female, by the way. whee
All I want is for Gaia to not discriminate against pixel races, as stupid as that sounds. If Alruna may expose her shapely breasts, so should we all. xd This isn't an argument against the art or the artist, but against this double standard we've been presented.

But that isn't this side of the argument. wink We got sidetracked in this thread, but most of us are pretty adamant about the initial intent of this thread, which is to give thanks amid a storm of raging opposition. All hail!
A Body suit, eh? Now I want that for the final evolution.

That's just like telling "I want to be able to be hanged by the feet just like piccolit, if piccolit can do it, I should be allowed to do it to". Avatars and companions have different treatments. The orindae's prince is naked too, and afaik there's no such discussion about male avatar owners wanting to show their pelvic nudity, and even if there's one, everybody knows it won't happen.
The ultimatum of censor Alruna or give us topless female avatar bases is so god damn pointless, not to mention all the girls jealous now. talk2hand

Gaia has been doing a lot of growing up recently, much of it during this year. It's pushing the PG-13 barrier without actually breaking any rules.

'Cept his naughty bits are covered by a jar. All we're asking here is for a little extra mist, or for the actual avatars to have the freedom to run topless.
