Or better yet, let's re-interpret the rules as our own desires because of a little amount of pixels. When I see a n****e in the Alruna I'll complain too. I don't. She could be showing just a portion of her bust and leaving the rest to the imagination. That is something that can't be accomplished with avatars and I have to add that it was beautifully done with the Alruna. No need to call this hypocrisy. It is not. It is fantasy and imagination.

I realize that it is in actuality a little different, but it's just for the sake of argument. You can't say that Gaia can break it's own rules because "it's an item not our avatar" or else we would be able to do a lot more with items that otherwise wouldn't be allowed.

It's obvious, that a large portion of the influence for Alruna came from Morrigan from Dalkstalkers.
So, my thought, perhaps she also dresses like her, and since she is leaning forward, we wouldn't be able to see that, also considering we can't see her torso.

Honestly, when I saw the new evolution, I was in awe over the beauty of it! What a great stage!

If people are offended by it, they need to grow the hell up. Seriously. There aren't even any nipples on the girl. And if they can show that same level of "nudity" on Sailor Moon to children, I think Gaians can handle it.

To be clear here: we are not going to get female topless avatars. EVER. We are not getting sexually explicit items EVER. We are not getting explicit nude avatars EVER. I am sure that there was a LOT of work put not only in the design of the Alruna, but also around the fact that she may or may not show breasts. The item made it to the evolution the way she is because it compiles with the rules. A topless female avatar wouldn't. Wearing whatever skin you want. Why am I not seeing threads about how the panthercoax has nails and our avatars don't? the difference here is that a topless female avatar WOULD by all means be explicit nudity. The Alruna, as it is, is NOT explicit nudity. It is suggested. There is NO WAY AT ALL to make suggested nudity with a female avatar. THAT is why the Alruna does NOT have to follow the rules avatars do. Avatars can't pull that off. This item can.

I don't understand what the big deal is. The gaian pixel artists and item creators (everyone involved) are smart in realizing that yes, there are younger users, thus they made it more like a silhouette, but they also gave enough shading and shape to suggest sex appeal. They have already "toned it down" for younger users. After all this is an anime/manga based community, and it wouldn't be realistic to say that there are no similar pictures in many mangas and anime.....my point being people need to realize that it could be a LOT worse and more adult looking. As for some users complaining about the skin tone: I'm sorry but Alruna's rose clearly caters to certain tastes (be it goth or otherwise) and everyone deserves to be represented equally. Not everyone likes tan beach bunnies you know. heart

I don't really mind, as long as I getta show my boobs too! I think a little more cover-up would be nice.

I also notice that most of the people against changing it are boys. Hee hee! I laugh. Has anyone else noticed that?
