How to White-List Ads on Gaia

I always despised Ads, even though i knew why they were used for...i just wanted to know something, why does the adds demand or demanded at least, for us to buy gaia cash to disable them???
A way of covering the prejudice maybe?

so pornography is ok to have on gaia? really ? they are that desperate for money? i'm sorry but you know gaia could get into trouble for showing naked people and people in undergarments and other items similar to that, which is considered porn where i live
FYI i live in the state of utah so yeah alot more strict things here
us children are not to be exposed to things like that and if enough people would take screen shots of this and file it with the authorities i guarantee this site would be shut down
bottom line gaia needs to do away with ads and figure another way to earn money for its website

Suggestion: Let people know that some Anti virus programs or internet security programs also come with anti banner features.

And that some come enabled by default. These also have a feature where people can add Gaia to that particular programs whitelist.

The ads don't really bother me only the thing on the footer.

Looks like some pretty common sentiment throughout the entire thread

-No noisy ads

-no pop ups

-no redirects

-and people are worried about malicious stuff coming from 3rd parties, which is a problem on every site with ads, Deviant Art also has this issue which is one reason I get rid of ads everywhere.

I actually got ad block in the first place because of Gaia's noisy ads. If you just banned those alone I bet a lot more people would disable their blocking. Those are the #1 most absolutely annoying thing on any site anywhere and as long as they hang around I will never white list any site that has them.

The video ones with the cards are fine because it gives me a couple minutes to go get a snack or use the bathroom, so those can stay noisy since its a choice we're given, not forced up our ears.

Thank you for what you guys do for the site! I've never used ad block, and I don't plan on it. I rarely get those ads that talk as well, which is fantastic.

You are suppose to report those ads and move on. I've never once seen a pornographic ad on the site, so I don't understand where you are coming from.
Also, saying "us children". If you're saying that, aren't you a little too young for the site?

The only thing you added since I been here that hasn't been messed with to the point of me not wanting to use it...well...I was going to say zOMG but ya'll have changed it enough that I don't want to play it. All ya'll seem to focus on is...how can we squeeze money out of our users? MORE ADS AND ONLY FOCUS ON CASH ITEMS

Once ya'll decide to fix the problems that some accounts have with zOMG from 2 years+ ago...maybe I'd be more supportive of this (since over two years...you could have gotten the money to hire someone(s) at least temporarily to fix it)

I completely agree with this. They've done nothing but turn and twist what elder users loved about gaia and then even took away the currency potential from zOMG, first making the rings account about, then adding a gold cap of 50k and greatly reducing the amount of currency you get in each scenario. They've even forced a new rally layout on us, and I'm a rally regular (or used to be now.)

I turned adds off briefly when I bought cash, but I found the add substitutes boring after a while!
Plus, sometimes there are adds you can click for gold! gaia_gaiagold

Wouldn't find a few ads 50g-100g worth clicking for the amount of trouble they are
