Well, I'm not quite sure how the stock market really works, since I just happen to be one of the young people I was referring to. I think it'd be really nice if we had things that we could invest our gold in though, so that it'd make those hard to get items a lot easier to get.

Yeah it would be similar to the marketplace - buying and selling items for profit is kinda like working the stock market. But I imagine stock market prices would fluctuate a lot more than marketplace prices, and everyone would pay one price, rather than hunting for bargains.

Just like the marketplace tho, it wouldn't be a surefire way of earning gold. For every person who makes a profit, there is someone who makes a loss.

we, right now, kinda have a stock-market thing with the Casino Tickets.
Gaia admins are not putting a value on them, but rather want us, the users to make our own value. That's why, when it started, everyone was in a buying frenzy. Some selling 1000 tickets for 20k or more.. now it's leveling out. Pretty soon people are going to sell low, rather than the aforementioned "buy high"
