Help us fix extreme slow speeds that some are reporting

I Thought it was my connection as its famous for being very slow

i sometimes get this issue when loading Rally e.g : Loading the Server list it says i need to log in but i am already log in Simple refresh 2-3 times fixes this

Once i connect to a server avatars take a time of 4-6 minutes to load once loaded i Disconnect from the server

I forgot to add that a number of people on zOMG! are reporting not being able to log into servers/ having servers sort of disappear or cut out on them quickly, as well as having extra lag that wasn't there before and time blips in their avis' movements. I'm wondering if its affecting everything including games.

For me it's just sometimes that Gaia is really slow.Usually it's really fast.

Well I am from Malaysia. I thought my computer being extra evil or gotten a virus today for the lagging issue. XD It made me install avast just to see if any trojan gotten into my computer. Thanks for the announcement.. I am not worry much now.

Not sure if it's my college's internet, or if it's Gaia doing this, but I should be able to tell more once I go home this weekend. Not even sure if it's the problem stated here, but it's a recent development, so... Sometimes when trying to post things in forums, it takes forever. Sometimes it takes so long that the page turns white and firefox refuses to process it. Other parts of the site are slow as well, but it's mostly forums. Again, I should be able to tell more in a few hours, so... Hopefully it's just my dorm's internet. Hopefully.

Ah! I thought it was just my internet being derpy. Until it was only on gaia that it lagged pretty bad.
Took at least two minutes to load my guild one time. emotion_0A0
I'll have to wait 'til it does it again to get exact measurements.

I have experienced some slowness recently, mostly in the dress-up page. I use the NoScript add-on for Firefox, and a few days ago discovered I couldn't use the dress-up page until I allowed a site called yahooapis dot com. After that it worked, but it can still be slower than usual sometimes to equip items, get nekkid, and reset, maybe 30 seconds or so for each action.

I can barely cope with aquarium threads or OMGPOP games, but that's a long-standing problem, and probably my old computer xp

Would loading our own aquarium count? Because, while I do have a decent internet connexion, the load time for it is so long that I've let my poor fishes die and never worked much on an aquarium because of that.... If it does count, I'll gladly send you guys in private the informations you need. As for clearing cookies and cache, I do that on a regular basis and I would have already seen it if it would have been enough to fix the problem wink

rolleyes well my problem is lag and flash crash error

neutral since i was in the Philippines around year 2006 i used windows xp or sometimes vista when i started here in gaia

emotion_8c coz it gets laggy it loads about 2-3min and sometimes the site gets a flash crash error

confused actually this laggy effect can affect the computer i'ved been using

xd yep it reduced it takes 40% less than before and specially when i play ZOMG

stare in my 75% playing even the status is green i get some lag and sometimes server gets full

3nodding and i'm not the only one who have this kind of errors, my 2 siblings incountered that one too and my girlfriend and friends stopped hanging in gaia in the philippines.

although most ppl might like this it's pizzing me off...2/3 or more of the 'adds' won't load or take forever to show up on a page (never checked times). BUT 100% of any 'video' add won't load... they begin to dl and then just ... stop. no amount of refreshing or restarting helps

not somethig that would bother ppl.... but it means "NO GAIA CASH TREE MONIES" ><

^^ so.... anybody else not getting thier cash?... i also have major (impending family death) issues going on. Gaia was my way to detox from spending all day every day in hospital. I have pretty much stopped comming here since it became a sourse of frustration too. Only occasional drop in's to see what im missing out on. I also used to maintain '7' accounts too.... if one was hard.... 7 was impossible.

I've only had slowness in Resort World and Backyard Monsters.

There seems to be no reason for BM to have had slowness (which started maybe a week or so ago) since nothing much changed on that game as far as my yard or other yards getting bigger/busier.

I noticed RW getting slow like 2 or 3 weeks ago. I think my main island is just so massive and has people running through it that it's just slow sometimes (especially in full screen mode). BUT, my 2nd island from building the hydroplane is small (I have yet to expand the property) and that thing is soooooooooooooo slooooooooow. I don't know why it's acting like that. It used to be fine. confused

I too thought I had a virus with all the lag I was experiencing. I already had Avast on my lap top so I had it do a full system scan. Everything came up clean. I have to say I'm glad it's a site problem and not a virus on my lap top sweatdrop
