We've launched a new contest: Gaian's Choice Game Awards. This is a thread to collect your feedback about the contest - bugs, feedback, anything else related.

Edit: There has been an update to the games page now. If you had trouble playing some of them in IE that should be fixed now smile

Thanks!

This reminds me of those massive game sites. Augh...whyyy?

I hate anime and GAIA. I'm not getting off gaia.

I'm glad you guys are allowing us to vote on which game we like and don't. While these games don't have the overall feel of Gaia, they are nice to pass the time. If any of these games are to be chosen for the site, I do hope that the devs and artists will work with the winning game to change it so it fits the atmosphere here.

Thanks for giving us a say. ^^

They're very crappily made, and half of them don't work. I haven't rated one above one yet.
I don't understand why Gaia chose these people to make a game for them...
This is for the Mochi games, right? >.>

Go Aekea ^__^

Do you know what I think of those games?

*vomit*

Allow me to share some of my other thoughts on the subject. Something a little more like constructive criticism.

Are these made in an afternoon? These were obviously made with no sort of planning, originality or thought about fun. Half of them we couldn't get working even trying on three different machines. And the ones that worked were so lacking in almost every way that it was painful even to test them. I have honestly seen better games made for high school assignments.

I've only played a few of the games, but I didn't like much of what I saw. The games we currently have "fit" with Gaia: the jigsaw puzzles are all Gaia pictures, the pinball flies around Barton, you can get three mini wings in Slots, and we have NPCs for Cards! I hope that any games chosen are Gaia-specific, and fit with the Gaia world.

Someone sent me two Angel Imps, but I don't know who to thank! THANK YOU, unnamed person!
Why waste valuable time and manpower on that load of sub-par minigames? Don't you advertise on Newgrounds.com? Why not affiliate yourself with or through them? They're THE source for indie flash material.

Poor quality all around. Zero appeal.

I'm not normally so blunt and tactless.. but for Christ's sake... PLEASE fix the games we DO have!

Totally lame.

I think that Gaia would be better off trying these:

www.bigfishgames.com
www.playfirst.com
www.iwin.com
www.rustyaxegames.com

They ALL make superior games to this ... mochi crap.

Hell, even MSN games are better then this lame-o-sity.

EDIT: First page! WOO!

You're just jealous because the voices only talk to me.
Proud Pro-Choice Mommy.
I only played two, and both were boring, unoriginal, and not of the best quality. Honestly, if I want to click my mouse over and over to shoot meteors while protecting a random egg then I'll go to neopets and play their games.

I like the fact that you're trying to find new games for Gaia, but this is not the way to do it.

Because of the comments below the game, my window is able to scroll. So while I played games with the arrow keys, the whole window's screen moves up and down so I can't see my game window. Is there a way to lock the screen, or not show the comments unless you click something?

All in all, I am enjoying the concept of this. I've only played three games so far, but I like that gaia is giving us a choice and letting us play around with it!

Partnering with Kongreate or Newgrounds may produce higher quality Flash Games. The communities are wonderful to boot! Members have produced very high quality games, often for no reason other than the love for creating them.

I think this is a step in the right direction, but a little off. I don't think the quality levels can rise, nor developers can be attracted, without greater understanding and communication with the Flash Community as a whole.
