Gaia Site Re-design Comments Welcomed

Okay, seriously, avatars being this small isn't going to fly. I also feel that "Dress Up" should go back under My Gaia. It's a lot more convenient there than being all the way at the bottom of the page. I honestly didn't see there until today. Then of course I agree with everyone else who has said so. Too much white... Maybe you may want to make the buttons bigger or something or change the color or put one of your poster images in the background but if you do this make it faded
so things won't look too congested.

Change is good everynow and then and it is nice to "progress" in ideas. However, I do not like this new site layout. It is harder to find things and I have to spend more time getting to something I want when it was only one click away on the last layout. I also really don't like the fact that the "anime" theme is gone. I thought Gaia was an anime based website? That's what drew me here in the first place and kept me here. The blinding whiteness is also not so good.

I know I will get used to it in time, but I really miss the old layouts that were more to the true nature of what Gaia is supposed to be and represent. If the Admins and Mods are trying to change Gaia into something else to draw in a bigger audience then that's okay and expected. Gaia has been becoming more and more popular so why not try to make it even more popular by expanding and reaching out to more different tastes and likes. I really do miss the orginal anime related themes though and I really hope Gaia doesn't keep straying from what it originally was...

I know you have worked hard for the new layout
I know everyone will complain when something changed
So i wont say anything bad - but something that i missed i have to mention...

it is not only the WHITE (it looks realy to bright for me)

- the avi in the right upper corner is shrinked and so it looks ugly
- the FONT used here is so "special" that i cant see it - so mine is ugly (use arial,helvetica please!)
- the dropdown menus are a missed feature that i liked (you can put them back as css-styled-ul/li)
- the A-Z index is nice - but not usefull at the end
- all other colors (forum & toolbars) dont really match the new layout

Please try to fix the CSS - there are some problems with MSIE and FF

I think all the server space they used for the new layout should be used on things like making more zipcoeds so more people can have houses. It was really terrible to spend gold on a house as a newbie only to realize it was a complete waste.

well i can live with the layout but im not too trilled. ever since the layout was made the browser hasn't shown new messages, it keeps on saying i have new mail even though i dont, and everytime i click a link it brings me to that page in the exact status it was at last time. ive sent in this message to the owners but feel this would be faster.

I personally like the new layout. It will take some getting used to just like the old one. But I like the fact that when I am browseing my subscribed threads I can see that I have mail. At first the font was too small but that can be easily fixed in your tool bar. There maybe some bugs in this new layout that can be easily fixed if gone about it the right way.

your eye sight must b hazy or u have no sence in style....

im an artist and a designer rolleyes if i didnt have a sense of style i couldnt be either one.

ive notied almost all of the complains are from newer and younger users, ( other than the mozilla VRs. explorer thing ) xp and i dont think thats a coincidence..

gaia is going to keep on progressing, like everyting in the world does, change can be good, get used ot it kiddies.
