From the screenshots it looks a bit like MySpace so I'm not digging it at the moment. I would really love to see large full previews of the base of the site (Forums, guilds and shopping) to make a better decision.

First I just want to say that actually getting user feedback before going with it is a huge step up from last time and just a real great thing in general. You clearly listened to the complaints of the last layout switch springing up on us.

As for this new one, though, I can honestly say I would care less about anything other than what the forums look like. Will they get a significant redesign, or will they more or less look the same?

Since there are so many people complianing, wouldn't it be possible for users to choose their own desing. I mean something like www.mugglenet.com The users decide what design they like best. I know it would be hard and could take lots of space, but I think that would be the best option, even if it might never happen.

I agree completly. Myspace scares me considering how much bad has happned to teenagers on myspace.

Looks pretty good, but I saw something about chat. Not a feature I'm too excited about, (mods, I'm in your boat) but everything seems easier. I'd like to see a larger pic if you could post one; some of the type was too small for me to comprehend it's importance. I like your idea, and the concept seems to be a newer and highly improved version of the current. Good work.

: / I don't like the new redesign. I'm quite content with how it is now, maybe just a main banner change would be nice. This design right now seemed more juvenile then how it was before and some users are worried that Gaia is becoming too much like a kid's site.
