Gaia needs more mods

I'm sure someone's said this before, but I'm saying it again. Gaia needs more mods. Gaia needs more active mods. Gaia needs more helpful mods.

Last night I was browsing through the chatterbox and found 3 forums on one page that brake rules. One being a slave thread (not an allowed one), one being an attempt to get people to cyber through PMs, and one containing pornography. Guess what. The porno is still there. It was reported and 14 hours later, it's still there. Now why is that, I ask? Do the mods no longer care? Have they given up?

I do not mean to offend any mods by this message. I'm simply stating what I see around the site. I know many of them are busy trying to keep up with the updates, but these things do need to be dealt with too. I've seen an increasing number of porno posts around this site in the past few days.

Every forum is in bad shape, not just the Chatterbox. sweatdrop

I don't know if you will but something I did was give Fierygoddess my suport to become a Chatterbox moderator. She's definatly good. If you want a link just PM me and I'll give it to you.

Back on topic though, the whole site could use more modorators. After all, Gaia is the worlds largest forum website.

I believe new mods are being chosen soon or right now.

About 30 are going or being demodded. Some other mods on break are coming back.

But I believe we need more. Of course, any number of mods will never be enough but it can help with the strain that other mods are experiencing right now.

Did you report these threads? If the threads are urgent, you can PM a mod directly. 3nodding Chatterbox is a very busy and fast moving forum. It can easily get tons of reports daily, and it's hard to maintain, but it is eventually.

We always need new mods. xd

You know there really needs to be more mods, for a large forum in this size you need to have around 50+ mods.

Did you report these threads? If the threads are urgent, you can PM a mod directly. 3nodding Chatterbox is a very busy and fast moving forum. It can easily get tons of reports daily, and it's hard to maintain, but it is eventually.

Yes, we did report it directly. It's just that it's taken so long for something that serious that's got me...

it doesnt really help that the forum moderators lists are down. I know some mods like to remain hidden, but when the lists are down I would really like to see them keep their status as either online/offline. Its much easier that way sweatdrop

I don't think they are...I know I found that thread once, but I can't remember where I found it either. I took a small break a while back and kinda forgot where things were. sweatdrop

14 hours nothing. The chatterbox reports can be backed up for weeks at a time.

Porn incidents can - and should - be PM'd directly to a moderator.

And as Sei said, we always need new mods. It doesn't helped that mods have left recently, but it's not like there's any way to force them to stay or ensure they'll always be suitable for the position *shrug*
