Gaia gold - so hard to get- ideas for easier earning

Does anyone else feel that it can take forever to gain gold? Apart from selling things, which you need to get first, donations and posting, there are limited ways to earn gold.

Gaia fishing, you have to sell fish, but by bait.

Would the possibilty of an investment bank be a warranted idea? Where gold can be invested and interest earned.

What about a game of War Chess? where the prize is sums of cash? each piece taken earns a predetermined amount of gold, depending on the value of the chess piece.

Perhaps an occupation? not sure how this would be easily implimented, but maybe if someone else has an idea on how to make this work?

Ive noticed many people being called Poll Whores, its an effectiv way of earning money quickly. Ive done it myself sometimes, especially when im saving for something new. The prices of new items, or special items just keeps growing. sounds like the inflation we experience in real life xd

Earnings go up when inflation rises in real life, would it be possible to have a similar thing in here? Please post your agreements or disagreements, your ideas for new ways of earning money.

No banks. In general, things that create large amounts of gold out of nowhere are a bad idea.

The problem is...if the concern is inflation, if gold-earning becomes easier, inflation will rise further to match it. As an economical example, take a look at Neopets. Items can go for 100s of Millions if somebody has a popular item simply because one can easily make 2,000 NP in 5 minutes.

I wish I could afford a devil's tail or an OMG or a Ninja Band, or a Halo.... but I can't. I would love to earn gold to do so but I think there are already a lot of ways to earn gold and it should not be made easier! That would just vause people to raise the price of donation and rare items and nobody would be able to buy them but everyone would have all the clothing in the shops.

Hard to get? You get gold simply from viewing the site. How much easier can that get? More games are coming as well as jobs.

As it stands now, getting gold is a lengthy process. Yes you get gold for every topic you post in, every poll you take, every page you visit. But that mostly ranges between the 1-5 gold pieces apart each ... and don't anybody go " you get 10 gold " cuz I have NEVER gotten ten gold for simply posting, or taking a poll.

Fishing is the only game that actually helps so far, doubling your money effectively from what you spend on bait. ( 250 gold bait doesn't work too differently than 25 gold bait, other than you get less back whereas with 25 gold you get double your money. ) But for the big ticket items, you have to work hours upon hours of fishing ... it might even take you two days completely to get 1000 gold, let alone 5000, 10000 and the like.

Hi guys, thanks everyone for their feedback! Some good ideas have come forward, its good to hear that new and exciting games aswel as jobs are on their way. As for the bank giving away money for nothing, thats not what i meant, but to run it as a bank does in real life. Loans that need to be repaid, a small amount to be repaid every week, that way, people coul lend the money for high costs rare items.

This may mean that someone has open a shop for rare items to be purchased, and yes, i know that will lower the rarity of the item. Kep in mind that, for exampl, the Emo bag, is around the 150000 mark, that would limit the amount available anyway.

As for jobs, again, im not expecting massive amounts of money, rather another way to earn gold, something that can be done aswel as posting and polls.

Chaudnavi, i agree, sometimes it can take ages to save the money for a new item. When the complex shirt first came out, it took almosta month of posts to get even close to the amount. When i finally got there, the price had literally doubled.

Let's face it, not everyone is willing to go the full mile and work for MONTHS to get enough gold for something. Let's be realistic here folks, money is everything ... why else does everything you wear cost SO much money?

Items nearing 10K ... takes you months of saving up, even by fishing ... oh and let's take fishing for example, yes it does give you gold. But, the only place even easy enough to do is Bass'ken lake, anywhere else the fish pull like there's no tomorrow and a simple control scheme like they have now isn't going to cut it.

The casino will be a welcome addition, I think, because Roulette is an incredibly easy game. Black, or red. One or the other is bound to come up. You place let's say, 50 gold on black and it comes up red? Put 100 gold down next on black again, it's bound to come up then net you 200 gold.

That is the best case scenario I can come up with, other than that it's stuck to fishing which gets harder the more places you go and let's face it, not all of us have incredible skill when it comes to Gaia Fishing.

Believe it or not, you could be earning 1000 dollars a week in real life just by going to school for 4 years, court reporters make like 100,000 a year, sometimes even more. Doctors get as much as 700 dollars a day just for visiting patients ( PER patient, meaning a doctor can earn up to 2000 dollars a day ), granted you need 7 years education but in the end anyone can be anything and get the money they want. Money in life isn't actually all that hard to come by, if you have money to shell out for the proper education. But the other side of the coin is, yes it takes 7 years of education, which could be the equivilent of having 7 months of patience on gaia. Everyone sees things as they want.

But like in real life, it takes money to make the world go 'round ... money for money, gold for gold. We're all greedy gold miners here, some of us have the patience, some of us don't ... it's no use to complain about it because neither side will care what the other thinks. Either side will think the other is stupid for his or her beliefs on gold and how to make it and items and all that jazz. The cycle of complaint starts again, and again, all in the end signifying nothing.

So, let the complainers complain I say, but keep the people who have opposite views out of the topic, that way no one fights and the topics remain for those who actually agree with it other than those who don't agree wasting their time trying to get others to see their way of thinking and demeaning others for not sharing your belief. Don't like seeing topics like these, complaining? Well, don't view them then ... there's a reason a forum doesn't just open up with a topic and you have a choice of topics to click.

While you might not be checking back on this, you can't honestly tell people not to give their feedback on an idea. Negative feedback is still feedback, as long as it's constructive (which goes for positive feedback, too).

I agree with what you say about feeling you have earnt it. I felt that way when i finally got the Dancers bottom. I foind that sometimes, the inflation rate exceeds the earning rate. Not always, but sometimes its a real problem.

Personally, i didnt enjoy the fishing experience, tedious and frustrating, Ive spoken with many others and they have really enjoyed the Gaia fishing, its just not for me. I post often and poll whore when desperate times call for desperate measures -grins- I know the Admins and artist are working hard on new and exciting features, i was just stating things that irk me a little and suggesting things I personally would like to see here. Its ok if others dont like what i suggest, thats ok....

fishing is just not fun at all for me..... i would like another way to earn money in here that is a game. Rather than posting or pollwhoring.

Investing. Gaia...well, they're not stocks. X) buy and resell. If you start out with about 6k, you can work yourself up to 40k in a couple weeks. I've done it ^_~

Go through your inventory, have a garage sale of sorts for all the junk you don't really use or want or don't know why you have at all. That'll give you a little bit of a boost sometimes. Others I suggest simply getting into a good RP or discusion and most importantly- DON"T LOOK AT YOUR GOLD COUNT. After an hour you'll look at it and be amazed. Of course when you do this- you then have to be careful to resist the temptation to go to the stores.

Once you get your base money... start browsing the market- or better yet the exchange for some really good deals. Find something you can buy for 4 or 5k and resell for at least 500g more. (it's really nice to have a market pass when you do this, but maybe that's what you should spend some of that gold on).

Also another big rule- NEVER.....EVER spend all of your gold. Make sure you at least have 1-2k left when your just starting out- more as you get above 10k. Just make sure you're NEVER broke. Put your gold aside in a mule account if you have one, to keep from bothering it.

As a gaia vet who's now more active on the exchange and market than anywhere.... there are my gaia financial tips. 3nodding
