Getting Firefox/BetterGaia is free, buying a new monitor is not. Stop being a jerk.

I wouldn't assume everyone and their dog can use Firefox. My old computer wouldn't install Firefox (possibly due to a virus I had gotten that deleted the Operating System, among other things) properly and it kind of agitated me when people assumed it was infallible. Granted these people might be a minority...

Sure it isn't perfect, but it's way better than IE7. I used to use IE then I switched to Firefox. I find Firefox to be way faster.

I can't argue there xd The latest IE is terrible, even on this computer. My old computer doesn't have the problem with installing Firefox anymore but I can't remember what fixed it. I've been using Firefox for awhile on that machine.

Personally I don't like the centered version. Having that large gap between the left edge of the screen and where the content starts is much more distracting to me than having the entire gap all the way over on the right where it is easier to ignore.

For reference, I am using a 1280x800 resolution.

1. Yes I do have the gap. It does not bother me.
2. I think that it will look unprofessional
3. All it will do is divide the gap in half and make 2 smaller gaps on each side.

I would rather two side gaps, than EVERYTHING so very heavily focused in on the left side.

Why are you ridiculously rude to everyone? Honestly, it seems like you don't even really want your topic to be taken seriously and to try and win people over to your side.

We read from left to right on Gaia, so of course it's going to be a lot more noticeable if we have a random gap on the left for everyone as opposed to a random gap on the right for only a few.

Hm, why am I rude? Because people here don't get the point unless I do be "rude".

I shouldn't need to "win people over to my side", this is a design flaw. Anyone who honestly thinks an entirely left aligned side in this day and age is "professional" really needs to use the internet some more.
