They aren't getting rid of the H&F forums, just some of the rarely-used subforums (I'm assuming they're taking about things like the Catch the Wave subforum).

I would like to see the Lolita "Hot Topic" forum get its own forum... maybe even in some kind of general Jfashion/Japanese culture forum?

It's been pretty popular for a hot topic and has had a lot of "deeper" discussion (as opposed to the "I ship that!" or "Who's your favorite character?!?" threads that happen in a lot of the Hot Topic and current subforums). Due to the strong interest in Japanese culture and fashion among Gaia's userbase, I think it would be a popular forum and it doesn't really fit neatly or make sense among any of the other forums. Prior to the forum there was discussion of lolita in the Real-Life Fashion forum, but threads were scattered and hard to find, and it was difficult to start and join discussion there and hard for newbies to get advice (or to see old advice since seeing it usually involved reading 600+ old pages). I think it would be a nice addition to the current set of forums and would make discussion much easier for those of us interested in Japanese fashion ^^

yes. i know that they are not taking the H&F forum in its entirety. well i hope not anyway

when i said subforums in my post i meant the subforums specifically like shake it, inner balance, and uplifting. the forums there are very slow moving but very convenient as to what aspect of fitness one would like to chat about.

im merely lamenting at how they're smooshing my chocolate into the rest of the peanut butter because the subforums are so slow. i really wouldnt be surprised if they were nixed and everything just put into a general sort-thru-it-yourself H&F ):

Ah, I see. But as H&F is such a slow-moving forum (relatively speaking), hopefully threads could be made to replace those subforums? If they're relatively slow it might not be as difficult.

I agree I would be sorry to see the "Shake It" forum go, though. I like chatting with others about dance and it's nice to always be able to find a place to do so.

Please update the Frequently Mentioned Issues sticky in this forum (SF)!

Particularly often mentioned issues:

• Mega Neko Shop - The amount of complaints from people who dont understand how copywrite works is TOO DAMN HIGH!!
  
• Gaia Video Player (VJ?) - Even though you guys got rid of this ages ago, people still keep coming in here asking for it back from time to time.
  
• User is complaining about themselves being banned - People need to PM mods about this, no regular users in the SF can help them .
  
• Gaia real life store - I think you guys have quit on this, so threads suggesting more things to buy from that store would be useless.
  
• Alchemy - Nobody knows whats going on with this feature, we try our best to make suggestions but it seems like nobody listens because nobody says anything? Some sort of statement should be made about it.

Update these issues:

• Pets - Are we really getting them? It's been quite a few years and nobody's said anything about it. If you guys are still doing something about it and havent scrapped the idea yet, please just put a little update in this section saying you're still on it.
  
• Personals - Same as above.
  
• Cross gender items - there's an artist working on that now, you should update this section on who to refer to when someone stumbles upon an item only one gender can wear.
  
• Mini games - I kind of half doubt you guys are doing any more work on new mini games. Herald of Chaos? I don't think any new games have been released aside from tiles/pinball a few years back. How about some previews? How about just saying we're not going to work on new mini games because we dont have the attention spans to play them long enough to warrant the effort? How about adding a section on what you guys are doing to the current mini games, like upgrading the gold grant rates?

These forum suggestions sound useful! I am sad about the renaming of the General Discussion forum but I understand the reasons behind the name change.

I am not sure how you would address this, but I would like to see something done about Art Discussion. Specifically, I would like to see the amount of 'Pls give me artz?' threads reduced. Maybe this forum should have a unique warning bar on top of the forum stating 'Want art? Head to Art Freebies or Art Requests (links)' which users can hide later.

Make a 1x1 only sub forum in Barton Town, as someone suggested, and rename the Invite only sub forum to Private an Invitations only...that will declutter the main rp forum. biggrin

The item about them being banned is already covered in the rules as it falls under contesting a mod action which is already considered spam. Love the idea though about updating some of that and adding VJ and Mecha neko into the already decided issues.

I don’t know if a reminder would do anything since people seem to ignore the FMI and other reminders , but it never hurts to try.

That's a great idea that the Ragnarok forum will be renamed and used for non-Gaia MMOs. Also do you think it would be possible to tidy up the Lifestyle forum? It's gone to hell lately and starting to look like the GD on a bad day.
