I think should take ur full name in ur acct settings and have a search
It doesnt need to show on your profile

It would be a myspace type search system but on gaia

Gaia has too many underaged (under 13) users. It would get Gaia sued.

Feature will not happen.

I must agree with X Yukan X Gaia would get sued and that is how information gets released into the internet because people can type in random names and get someone's pro, Personally I don't want people to know my name.

i can't understand what thought process could possibly go into making it default to "yes." why would you think people would want this to HAPPEN to their accounts without their choosing it? it's a massive privacy violation! i don't see the point of the feature's existence at all, but at the very least, you should never, ever have implemented it with the default to "yes."

i mean, it's enough to make me actually ANGRY. it's not just "this is dumb, whatever, let's think about dinosaurs now." it's more like "holy s**t, how long has this been up? CHANGECHANGECHANGE"

seriously, how could you think that was a good idea? i can't imagine that everyone agreed on this; the people who were pro-"no" are probably going "i told you so" right now.

Even though I am certain I am entering the correct user name and password, it claims they are incorrect. Not sure what the bug is, but there you go. great tool, I was waiting for Gaia to come up with something like this.

Don't you guys MISS how gaia used to look? Where's the FASAZ? As far as I'm concerned, as others might be. It's just not gaia anymore. The way gaia used to look is their Trademark for crying out loud!

Hey, Admins etc, why do you keep changing everything?? I don't want people to know where I live and my name. Certainly not my email. I REALLY don't want people who I really have a problem with being able to contact me and cause me trouble. I'm sure you Admin's would agree. It's unsafe. Point blank. Plus the friendslists look UGLY now >=O

Why are you guys taking away our little smilies?? First you take away our buttons and now the SMILIES!! It's o.k. that their back on the friendslist, but other then that, it's plain text. How boring is that??? I LOVE gaia, and now it's starting to look like EVERY OTHER SITE OUT THERE. the 'enimies' thing is way to harsh. I mean, come on! Bad example much?? I agree with Victoria Silver on all her points.

I ALSO AGREE WITH BEN2CHINA2!!

Or are you guys even reading all of the posts that are being submitted to this thread?

I'm ranting because I love gaia, it's my addiction. But it's becoming to.. To commercialized and bland. Like a molded copy of some other site. Who really wants that?? I surely don't.

I'd prefer it more if it worked with hotmail.

So, i haven't been able to use it yet.

And for person above me, chill out. Go to a nOOb website if you don't like this one. You obviously prefer less speed and less efficiency. There making it better, and you can't even see that?

If you don't want people to be able to see your e-mail, go to your account and set your stuff so they can't!

The default of finding friends using emails should be set to "No", for those who want their privacy. Say you gave someone your email and for whatever reason you want to be left alone and have nothing to do with them. Well with the default being set to "yes" they will have a chance to find you before you can change your settings to "No". I see it as a huge invasion of privacy.

Bottom line, Default should be set to NO.

Not to be rude or anything but I really see no reason for it at all. If my friends are on Gaia, either a)they'll tell me or b)I'll ask them.

Setting default to 'Yes' is also a problem. Some hacker/troll could find you're email on another site and use the email address here to a)stalk you, b)hack you here, c)mess with you, or d) all of the above.
