To be honest, as far as the friendslist redesign goes, I prefer the old page with the icons. I knew what all the icons meant.

I guess if they want to list the links via text, that's fine, but I'll agree that it was much easier to see who's online and offline with the logos. I know we can click the links to change the list from who's on and off, and I do like that feature -- because people who hide online status seem to show up in the list that they're online despite their offline tag -- but seriously, when I want to glance at my whole list, I don't want to read the words.

As far as find friends .. I'd rather just ask them. Why would I want to be a stalker and add their email? Can't I just as easily SEND THEM AN EMAIL, communicate with them, and get their Gaia info manually? Sure, it might be easier to just pop an email in a box and see what comes up, but if you have to go to that step instead of simply asking your friend if they use Gaia then something's not right. I know we can turn the option off so people can't find us via email, but that kinda bothers me too, because if I -don't- want someone finding me then that's how I want it to be and I shouldn't have to turn a feature off.

Yes, Gaia is really kickin' off this year really badly. Horrible mess of things, really. I love this site to death, but they're ripping chunks out of my "give a f**k" selection. The icons are loved, the new friend's list is not; aside from it's viewed, once icons, and enemies section. Along with it's Find Friends, which now allows hackers to know what your e-mail is to that account you're using. GENIUS GAIA! Sarcasm. Seriously, developers, get off of myspace, whatever else you're on and quit tryin' to make Gaia resemble it. You guys are gettin' too trigger happy when there's much more s**t to attend to then to f**k-s**t-sideways of what is loved or barely liked already.

Quit it.

i hate. it was a waise of time. if people like this site they would of told their friends about it and they wouldn't need to find their friends. it would be nice to make it were if we don't like the new friends list they could change it back to the way it was. *sniffles* i miss the smiley faces!!!!

I really don't like it...it's cold and bland looking. I liked the easy-to-recognize (and adorable) little icons and such....Now it's just hard to look at. It looks like every other website, and it lost its cute, gaia spark. This site seems to be draining itsef of that, unfortunatly.

It seems like a big step backwards. Sorry Gaia. I love you n 'all...but this is really bad.

EDIT: Its so much more difficult to navigate. =__=;; My eyes burn.

Amen. It's a step backwards, which Gaia just keeps doing. I'm beginning to think they're trying to crash this site.

The "Find Friends" part I'll probably never use. But I don't like the friend's page redesign.

I just quickly want to see who's on and offline, and I can't do that anymore, because "online" looks too much like "offline", so I either have to strain my eyes looking at the status or go to a different page just to see who's online. Too much of a hassle.

I wouldn't be complaining so much if the Gaia Toolbar worked with Firefox 3... *hinthint*

It's fun to be able to see if your friends are on and you didn't know it. Also, I miss the lighting up smilies when people are on. It was easier just to scan for the yellow really quick instead of having to look at the text. Please add AOL for the search!!

I really like the idea of having this. I think it'd be easier if AIM was up on it, since I have alot of friends on it.

Yeah I think adding hotmail to the finder would be a good idea.
