I prefer to keep my life on Gaia and my life on Facebook seperate kthnx. I only use Facebook to keep in touch with my friends and family. Where as Gaia is more of an escape for me. I'd rather they not blend together.
I'm sorry but I don't like it. People here in Gaia really don't want this to be or even be connected to Facebook. You might want to keep those two apart.
While this is interesting I don't think it's the best use of Gaia's budget when so may of the older features (homes and towns especially) are in dire need of some updates. Also I think a relatively low percentage of Gaians would actually use it compared to those who want to see older features fixed/updated.
I have Facebook, but I don't want to advertise my happenings on the site just to draw more people in. This place is for friends, and Facebook is reserved for other people like family. Besides, that's a really annoying idea.

I don't get the whiners against this. I've got not problem with it. It's not like the Facebook feed is ever not cluttered with meaningless crap in the first place, why not add Gaia updates to it.

And just because you guys are against networking sites for whatever crazy conspiratorial reason you've come up with this week doesn't mean that the other users on the site don't want this. There is a huge highschool community on here and I'm sure a good majority of them have Facebook accounts. Good enough investment there.

Good enough investment for kids with allowances, I suppose, but how many of the mid-20s people want this stuff cluttering their facebook account? The people who spend the most money are in that age group I imagine, so their opinions count.
I loved gaia because it was DIFFERENT from Myspace and Facebook. Now you want to add them together!? What is wrong with you mods now a day?!
I have a facebook, but I only use it to hang out with friends and play this game called Farmtown.
I don't use Facebook, ALL my friends and I use myspace.
I really don't see why Gaia wants to associate with Facebook and Myspace..please don't.

i agree. i have facebook, and lot of my friend on gaia use facebook.
this is a great idea!
i love facebook and gaia so put them together and it'd be perfect 3nodding
I don't see myself getting a Facebook account anytime soon.

I have a myspace account and hardly use it anymore.

»I'm a mid-20s government professional, so I wouldn't link Gaia on my FaceBook as it tends to have more of a professional presence as one gets older (at leats, among my friends and colleagues it does xd ).

However, I like the sound of the idea. I'm all for the integration of technologies (I use tweetdeck to post to twitter and FB, for example). It's a good, fun way to advertise the site and allow younger people to share their Gaian creativity.

I disagree with people saying that the FB 'crowd' is a different one to the Gaians. That's based on absolutely no evidence. I also don't see the complaining about free gold they'll never get is warranted. I'll NEVER sign up for a myyearbook account thinger (hello, Aussie and well-graduated) but I'd never think to complain about the 6000 gold for that! xd
