I honestly think that the doll was only just a doll.

well how come all the other things from that evo have been part of the story then maybe the doll represents like a happily ever after type thing

i really dont want the reve to end i say two more evos maybe 3 or four because the maulfunctions

clock may also = (there is still time) it could be pepper saying why are you people saying the item is gonna end there is still things to happen in the story and in the item mrgreen (atleast i hope so)

Either that or it's a Doomsday clock counting down the end...One or the other.

Lackluster EIR =-= I still say that the next time the Reve evolves its going to end or the time after that it'll end. The doll could be the one telling the "story" or just be a plain old doll that she made, not everything needs to be telling a story otherwise it would just keep going on and on and on @.@ . Mi thinks the clock is counting down to its ending o3o

I suppose only time will tell.

Anyways; concerning the Case and future evolving items-- next time anything in a similar situation may occur, can Dr Singh point it out that it's going to presumably take longer than some expect for it to evolve? Ecspecially when it's actually intended by the artist in the first place, but she refrains from informing us until months into the EI. It isn't fair to the buyer, to not be aware of certain issues concerning their own product of interest.
Actually, in a way, Gaia is cheating their customers. Here, let me explain. Okay so "back in the old days (Oh God, have we heard this before? (no))" Gaia used to have a make-believe but very existing schedule that eventually we could figure out how long it'd take a certain EI to evolve. Soon, after enough delays, a few would even appologize for their EI taking so long. Afterward, the public would appreciate their appologeze (well, hell, most of us atleast), and then carry on, hoping their next evo won't take as long as one they had appologized for in the first place.
Not saying infactly that they needed to appologize, when they had other things they needed to take care of that we currently didn't know about, but just to have known that it wasn't their intention sounded good to our ears.
Pietro a few weeks behind schedule; a journal entry from pepper-tea shows up that I still highly respect that concerns EIs and set schedules. Unfortunately, a large majority of users already bought reapersun's shadey EI by this time. How was it shadey? Cause before that journal entry was written, we all still kinda obeyed and gone by that make believe schedule, and thought reapersun's EI was like any other EI out there. We were purposely misdirected so Gaia could make more money on the first gen (cause for many obvious reasons, first gens make the most money). By it's 2nd gen, reaper finally fesses up that it's going to (by her intention, in the first place) be very slow to evolve.

Yet during this whole time, I've yet to see a delay on RIGs whatsoever...
This worries me. As time progresses, I speculate through my analysis that we're likely to see more and more EIs slow down, to where a majority of them evolve monthly, and some even longer, while RIGs stay constant to the schedule. It's very possible that EIs are about to experience the dark ages.

Based on that line of reasoning I can see how you would feel like that but I think it's still early to rush the judgment on that one. Maybe this is just an isolated incident due to a scheduling conflict. At least that's what I'm hoping because the alternative is to depressing to consider.
I would rather buy ten E.I.s compared to one R.I.G. At least when I buy an E.I. I somewhat know what I'm getting.

The other thing to point out is that perhaps there are a couple of them that are due to end very soon and maybe they wanna drag em out a bit. Also with there being fewer than usual EIs of late, maybe they are taking the opportunity to drag them out a bit while they are all tied up with the event and RIGS and stuff.

Lets not forget that the delays wont be ending anytime soon. Four-day Thanksgiving day weekend coming up so there might be a delay in an EI report or two. (you know the Holidays always mess things up) Plus even BIGGER delays when Christmas and the Holiday Event coming up.

That in mind, I dont mind the delays.

As for Reve, with the doll in mind

I really hope we get the Kimono!! Pretty please? 4laugh

And I like the pendant, like...a lot. Is it following the zodiac list?

This is incredible. When was the last time you liked an item? Nano?

And I don't think the first stage was actually Aquarius, people. Although all the gem theory is quite good.

And I feel somewhat sad because of the EI's lately. RIGS are taken over the site with a hideous speed. sad

The part I'm worried bout RIGs taking over is there being less greatly anticipated, newer items that a large majority of users will be able to afford. The price of a starting EI was a middle-ground investment for a strong majority of users. Without that existing anymore, there may be less and less people that can afford some of the higher priced items in the RIGs. Leaving no hope.

Of course, none of this is gonna happen over the course of a week. But give it till mid next year, and you may as well come to see this happen. Like Zero, I'm trying to be optimistic, and not think entirely that my speculation is correct. But I'd sure as hell like to prevent this from happening. Hopefully I can get a few devs to read the post, and prevent it to happen entirely. smile
EI lovers, show some support? heart

@ Nyadriel: I'm pretty sure we'll get the Kimono dress at some time.

Although I like the idea of Random Item Generators, I don't think they should be done every two-three weeks. There should be a new one when the artists want items to be put into gaia, but have no clue how to release them. So far it feels to me that EI's are being put second to the RIGs they should be treated with the same attention or just none at all.
(and no I'm not saying no more EI's I mean that if attention isn't equal, then there should be no RIGs)

I'm almost certain that they will never do away with the RIGs. It's to big of a money maker for them. But I do think it's wise for all of us to make some noise about the amount of attention that the EIs receive because I would hate to see them go the way of the MCs. Yes we still have the MCs but how often do you feel like you get a really good one. Every once in a while I will see an MC that I like now a days but not often.

Holy s**t your right. rofl

I always have a problem with an item, even the Nano (although I love that item as much as a person like me could)

It's just..the pendant, it has the right amount of Reed randomness so it never gets stale, AND CLOTHING.

No pets, no gimmicks, no 'story'.

It's the first item in a while that can grasp the concept of taking a theme, and putting into clothing.

As crossbon said to me, all people have natural gambling tendencies,
so when you buy a RIG there are lots of shiny new items, not same when you buy a MC, not even an EI because you don't have to wait from 1 to 5737284 weeks for your poses.
So the RIG will always take all time and attention from artist, and comunity as well.

The only problem with that theory is that I haven't once received something I actually liked in a RIG yet. So I can spend tons of gold and basically have almost nothing to show for it. Yes I said nothing because most often the items I end up getting hardly anyone want and I spent more gold on it than I could ever hope to get back. And if I spend cash I would rather spend it on something I want instead of the chance to get something I want.

Yeah that's true, but those are the natural gambling tendencies, even with the randomness, RIGs are very popular.
