I say the counter should go or be moved somewhere else, or re-made so that it's not so big. It makes a big statement, and I mean... if you want people to join Gaia because of the already large amount of users this site has, then okay, keep the counter.


Also, I don't think the front page should focus on the Avatar Arena. I think that it should focus on the Arena itself, and add in the description that there are three of them, for three different things. But I think Gaia shouldn't really focus on its Avatar arena when there's more (and by focus, I mean displaying the Avatar Arena on the front page rather than just the Arena).


That's all I can think of for now.

The mermaid pic doesn't really illustrate the fact that there are so many ways you can make a unique avatar.

I like this one the best out of the five. My only complaint is that the Grey upper area and the counter don't really match the overall water design. It would be perfect if you managed to integrate it into the theme.

This is the best layout overall, but the picture choice is terrible.
I feel sorry for any male who wants to log onto gaia at school, and a skimpy mystical mermaid isn't inviting to many females too.

I'd suggest a picture of both a boy and a girl standing back to back looking cool- Realize what age group is trying to target.

Also counter needs to be smaller/part of design. (add a little wing or something)
