Seems to give the wrong impression about Gaia, especially for those of us who don't really use this aspect...there are other sites that do that, Gaia is so much more than just for posting art.

Not only do I not like the content in the middle... it looks a bit cheesy and half-assed to me. (no-offense) But I really do not like the look of the Gaia who's online counter, or the layout of the links at the bottom. Please don't use this. ^^;

It's alright. I think there's not enough information there about the rest of the site though. This is a community for many things than just artwork.

It's alright, I suppose. I don't really think just one concept should be expressed, as that gives a kind of restricted feeling on first impressions. But that's just me, I guess. The people counter seems a bit flashy and might detract some visitors, but I love the "Registration is easy, secure, and not boring!" sign-up button.
I think the page could use a little more balance, as has probably been said. Anyway, it's not an eyesore.
