I don't like the sketch of the creatures on this one. Not that they're not good, but Gaia is mostly about one's avi, not the creatures. (Though the evolving items are wonderful), it reminds me more of neopets (not that I'm an expert) and not really good Gaia quality.

It doesn't really say anything about being able to have avatars. I personally am fine with the current one.

It seems to focus on the contests, which only a small percentage of Gaians have a chance of winning. I does encourage creativity, which gives it kudos.
