I do have to say i like this one for the these reasons.
It is not overfilled and very simple and right to the point,which is great and it just perfect for gaia.

The last time you guys experimented with the "torn/splashed edges" look, it was pretty disastrous. Don't make the same mistake twice by using this design. ):

i don't particularly care for it because it looks too muchl ike it could be too much like it could be the home page to neopets or something x.X

It's visually nice, but it seems to only target people who would enjoy submitting their art to a site to get judged.
It wouldn't have appealed to me. I think you should aim for something more generalized.
