"Trampy McTramp"
does that include "search for : Ticket (x20)?"

if so, that would be legendary

That would be SO helpful.

i hate how i search for something specific, and there's other items that im not even looking for

ex: looking up thank you letter for april 2008, i get april letters of other years or other letters of this year.

I would prefer relevancy.

Adding the option to search by Lowest price by Unit Price for game items would be nice. There isn't much of an advantage to selling in large quantities right now, because the x1s at a lower price appear first.

What I miss about the old marketplace was the ability to sort by "expiring soonest" much like on eBay (which is my default setting). Perhaps without even searching! Just clicking on view items and having the option to view by ending soonest would make my experience so much better. I like jumping in towards the end and winning. ^_^ I know the marketplace changed the prevent that by adding another minute onto the end, but still.
You can.

Not sure if this is the right place for this suggestion, but it would be nice to be able to sort listings by price-per-quantity.

Like, if one person is selling 1 token for 50g each, and another person is selling 50 tokens for 1g each, I want to be able to see who is actually selling their tokens at the lowest price even though each listing costs 50 gold.

relevancy sounds more logical, you're looking for a specific item, after all.

Don't you think we should fix the 3 letter word searches first and then make these suggested advancements?

"The Amazing Leo"
I would prefer Relevancy as when I search for an item and enter a search term, it gets annoying when other items which usually have nothing to do with the search term appear first because they have more listings.

cool cool cool... i would love it!

That has been fixed for months now.

Give us the option to select what we would prefer. Failing that; relevancy is more important than how many are listed on the market.

And while you're at it;

1. Fix the search feature to be keyword and keyword, rather than the current keyword or keyword. If I am looking for "kiki kitty plushie" and I type in kiki kitty plushie I get results that have kiki, kitty, or plushie in them. The more keywords I put in the fewer results I should get, not more.

2. Re-instate the ability when item-browsing to weed items that cost less than or more than a certain amount. If I want to know what high-end items will be ending soon, I have to sort by end-time and then wade through a thousand items worth 1-100g. What if I only want to know what items over 100,000g but under 1,000,000g are ending soon? I can't.

3. What the poster above me stated - if an item can be sold in bulk, permit the option to sort by unit price.

4. Add results for keyword searches (you can do this). Right now if I put in "ninja" I get ninja themed items (including the chyaku scarf; which does not have "ninja" in its name). Make it so "plushy," "plushie," "plushies," and "plush" all return gaia's plushies and "ticket" and "tickets" return tickets, etc.

Seriously, when you guys Beta'd this thing did you actually invite anyone who honest to goodness vends? These are all issues that should have been found and fixed ages ago, during the Beta.

I agree with this post, and I think for the search items you should be able to use quote's so that if you do know the exact name of an item, you can look it up without getting a million different shirts, like the person with the prisoner's top did.

I also have a suggestion for the new marketplace rules they just put on, on the one where you cannot cancel an item in your store if you have it on bid.. although it might be out of place here.. but I think you should only be unable to cancel when someone has actually bid on your item, instead of when you have no bids yet, so that you can still cancel any item you have on bid unless someone's bidding on it.. sweatdrop if no one has even bid on your item at all, it seems a bit inconveinent to not be able to cancel it just because it has the bidding feature.

Sort by relevancy would make so much more sense to me. I find it incredibly frustrating to try and find a specific item in the marketplace if I only know part of the name and it contains a very common word (like "shirt" ).

For example, if I want to search for the collar shirts in all three colours, I can search for collar shirt. But that gives me every item tagged with shirt (184 items), and the items I want come up around page 4, even though they are the only three items that have both of those tags, and intuitively I feel they should be first on the list.

I currently find the whole marketplace search very confusing and inconsistent. (For example, if I search collar shirt red I get 28 different red shirts. If I search red collar shirt I get the three collar shirts in all colours and no other results. If I search "red collar shirt" I get no results.)

Some sort of relevancy based search would definitely be an improvement; what could be better than searching for something and seeing the item you (probably) want near the top?

A possibly bigger improvement, though, would be the use of logical operators in the search. For example, searching for

shirt -flame

would search for all shirts that don't have the word 'flame' in the item name. Or, searching for

shirt flame

would search for only items with both shirt and flame in the name (I believe this is relevant to the previous poster's suggestion.

This sort of searching is something I've wished was there for a while now, to make marketplace searching much easier.

I think not only do the tags need to be updated, but the searchbox should use multiple words rather than the last one you type.

For example, if you have an evolving item like the rose you should be able to search for "Bat" to be able to find it... it does after all have a form which is a cute fuzzy bat. You should be able to search for color as well. (Mainly, every item needs more tags to make them easier to find!)

Right now the search box will only search based on the last word of a phrase you entered. So, if you type in "Blush wall tile" search will look for tile making the other words irrevelant and still giving you at least two pages to search through. This should be fixed.

Now with a GUILD!
automatic sorting by relevancy would be wonderful. 4laugh
