Tiryn has a point if a person from either side did all the missions they really should get their skin if they're side loses .-.

Then what is the point of having a competition if both sides would "Win" anyway as "That's fair"?

Both sides STILL get items, it is only the skin that they would lose which will be soulbound anyway.

Why is a skin that important?

everyone joined a cult either for the FREE skin, for the fun of it or for the items.
and haven't you seen all the posts of people going crazy if they lost their skins, such as this one

Because like all other equipable items, some people genuinely like them? Imagine if the Gaia staff suddenly decided that all of the skin potions would be removed from Skin Tyte. I'm pretty sure you'd see alot of outrage. Heck, imagine if Gaia decided they were just going to flush any other popular item. It would never end.

They would never take the potions away.

All I see if a lot of people flipping the hell out over a skin, wailings of "IT'S NOT FAIR" and how this event sucks because of this.

What happened to just having fun with an event? why is so much importance placed on winning when we already get to keep the robes, the spears, the maces, the pendants, and all the other stuff that is not soulbound.

Yet because of one thing, we use that as an excuse to ruin the whole thing for ourselves. Why are we letting it get under OUR skin. (pun intended)

Thats like being handed a huge box of clothing that you get to keep and bitching because you didn't get to keep the box it was carried in.

I cannot understand that type of mentality for the life of me.

your not the competitive type and so you have a different mindset than everyone else who is competitive, catch my drift? D': we can either let this arguement turn into a cirle of anger and hate that never ends or we can stop it right now and see how all this turns out and let the other people do what they can to win at all costs.

Actually, I kinda think the event for me is now a bit more tedious than just the threat of skin removal. I'm having more fun trick or treating then playing for 5 hours straight to try and get 500 missions done.

The one thing about the skins are, well, they're kinda nice. There are people that really like them, like me, and could find a use for both of them, or one of them if in the end that was the case. Though them being soulbound limits which of my accounts will get to use them RP wise.

I think right now its the fact that it still seems rigged somewhat, and the one skin I truly like more than the other will be taken away after I've gotten a chance to play with it and find looks for it that are actually quite nice. And then it'll just be snatched away from me at the end. If my team looses that is. I'm playing with the look, finding outfits that go quite well with it, but knowing that I might not be able to keep it?

I suppose at this point I really am just tired with the whole thing.

I never said they would. You missed the point with that. My point was, can you imagine the outrage people would have over losing such an appearance that they absolutely loved? Really, the entire idea of the loss of any item forever is a tad ridiculous. The only people I don't see making a big deal about it are the ones that don't like either skin. So what about the people who do?

As I stated, people will do this regardless of the outcome. Making it so both sides lose the item would be no different, and in fact might just make it worse.

The event and the skins are an entirely different issue. Personally, I don't care who wins or loses, because I am having fun. I just know that regardless of who wins, people will be upset if an item really is lost. Making it so both sides lose it would only create more outrage, not less.

No, it's more like getting a bunch of presents, and the only one you really like is lost or stolen. Even still, being able to move past that you see someone else who's happy with something they got too, but then it's lost as well, and you share in their pain. The question is, why have anyone endure that? That's the mentality.

I'm sorry you think this is rigged, I hope you won't let that stop you from participating.

In any case their is no hard proof if it is "rigged" and I just can't see a logical reason the admins WOULD rig an event they won't be getting anything from.

They are not making money on this so. . . . .yea. But I do thank you for stopping by my thread and giving your thoughts. I have some things to do but you can keep posting all up in here.

@Arkyron, I would give your post a proper answer but please understand I am being rushed right now IRL so, hope you understand. *flails*

Completely understood. ^_^ It's not like I'm going to hound you for one anyway. In the end, we're merely going to argue our view, which in the end is always exclusive to ourselves. We all have lives beyond these pixels though, so take care, and have fun doing whatever it is you need to tend to.

It hasn't so far. I'm a well known item horder amongst my friends and need to get some extra sets if I can because they aren't able to participate the same way I do. I'm usually OCD on Gaia to a fault.

Well, there isn't, but my observing of the main page things have been kinda steady. If they had the ending planned they might, I dunno. Just seems like my constant clicking isn't doing much.

You have fun. Like Arkyron said, its really a matter of opinion in the end anyways.

So youre saying that the best way to handle people is just to break down and give up on the entire event?

It sounds like you are whining about whiners, by your logic your account should just be removed because ******** it your not going to be happy unless you get what you want. Its almost like people are rationally self interested or something. Craaaaazy.

No you are just misreading me.

When the event is over we all get the skins removed from our accounts.

That is also "fair".
No it isn't. It its only fair if one side wins and one side loses. Youre method is just called the "Give up and cry" method.

After the super bowl does the NFL just say ******** it reduce the score to 0 because people are going to be angry no matter who wins?

If one side wins they should win because thats how the event was presented to us. If SIN wins and BOO does not and gee BOO still worked hard so they get it anyway then I WASTED MY TIME.

Exactly, they are just trying to get more people to play by giving them a REASON to, like in this case its that if your side wins then you get a cool new skin.

But at the same time others are going to see the potential loss of a skin as a reason not too. Why bother putting all that time into it if you can't even get all the items. Some people will see it that way and not want to play.

the winners arent "winning a cool new skin" they're avoiding getting that skin taken away from them.

Which means this whole skin buisness is a PUNISHMENT to the LOSERS. It's nothing for the winners, because they arent gaining or losing anything.

I don't like the fact that Gaia is punishing the losers rather than rewarding the winners.
It's much more bitter environment, in my opinion at least. =/

Gaia gave us all these skins already. We get to play with them, we get to see what outfits, combinations, whatever work for them. And individual can work as hard as they can, and they can still lose that skin.

It's not like getting a box of new clothes and not getting to keep the box. It's more like getting that box of clothes, and gaia taking away YOUR FAVORITE PIECE OF CLOTHING FROM THAT BOX. After you've had a chance to wear it, and find out what accessories go good with it.

It's just no fun when something you really like, and already had a chance to play with gets yanked away from you, even when you personally have done all you can to keep it.

Ive actually told friends to NOT play the event because of this
