Oh boy, this is childhood all over again. So just because my brother misbehaves at dinner, my sister and I can't have ice cream?

This suggestion is no better than what Gaia has already established for the event.

Much like in real life, there are winners and losers for ANY competition. You can't just say "Oh well, the other team are a bunch of sore losers so we might as well just not give anyone anything at all. Tough s**t for the team who won the game and deserve the prize because they wont get jack from us!"

Yeah, this suggestion contains too much of a faulty logic. I honestly do think that anyone who agrees with this kind of suggestion are just as much of a sore loser as those who are flipping out about losing their skin. If I lost my skin I wouldn't be upset about it. Instead I would congratulate my friends who are on the other team. You know why? BECAUSE THIS IS JUST A GAME PEOPLE! Have a little bit of good sportsmanship, will you?

A bad parent?

Since when is Gaia a "parent"? I find it absolutely hilarious that you expect every one to be robots and bow down to the almighty admin.

Isn't telling people their feedback is "whining" and "unsporting" against SF rules? This thread needs to be binned.

Furthermore, you have gone so far to request the admin punish people for giving feedback. That's just...

stupid.

I cannot agree enough with this.

People can disagree with me all they want but I appreciate that at least someone got my point.

I think it's fair. Even if I was on the losing side, I'd still think it's fair. As someone else said, when super bowls and world series are said and done, the winners get a trophy and a nice little prize. If they didn't there'd be no point to the games. Since the event IS a game, it's completely fair to receive a reward for winning. o-o;

I second this.

*munches on peanut butter cups*

In the end it is a game with a story behind it (that seems to be ignored and thus the SPIRIT of the whole thing ignored)

Think of it like this (and yes, here comes the storyline thing again)...

As long as we have the "skins", we are endowed with the "powers that be" of each of the opposing gods. When this war ends and there is a "winning side", the "losing side" loses its endowment as their leader god's power is diminished while the other god remains strong in his/her power and will and his/her side is able to keep theirs. Its a question of which. Or is it?

Its NOT about the skins, its about US. Its about what WE believe is better. Which kind of strengths would help us survive best.
I know I said I would not mention this for fear stones might be thrown at me. But I see this as a psycological "experiment" of sorts. A question was put to us and now it is up to us on how we want to answer it.
(now you know why I am so geeky sweatdrop )

I know I seem to keep on about this kind of thing in almost every post I have made. But I really do love Gaia's version of the Yin Yang on things.

War has ended, all is done. Anger ebbs, peace has come. One prevails, the other naught. No joy from this, all distraught. Both sides merging... amidst it all
A final lesson learned...
A quiet truce... at last...

Uhhhh this isn't a good reason to too give the winning side the skin they were given.
Personally it just sounds like the "whining". That was said was done but on the other side.

Quest: IDK anymore XD.

I think this might be a great idea! First off, I don't think either skin is so world-shaking that we'll die without ever seeing it again. If I had to choose just one, I'd hate to see the S.I.N. skin disappear and the B.O.O. skin remain, but I'm not even on the S.I.N. team and my mule is rarely seen anyway. I'll gain nothing regardless of who wins because I dislike my own team's skin.

To be completely fair, they really ought to kill off both skins after the event just like they killed off the subtitles we "earned" from the back-to-school event. We won't need them anymore, they're just a bit of fun to show our loyalty. All the other items are better than those skins, in my opinion, and we get to keep them forever and they aren't soulbound. That's good enough really. Both of the event skins can be nearly duplicated by using others skins and eyes we already have. We won't be missing much.

[] I only say the skins shouldn't be taken away based on the last few days is because emotions always run high when something new is being released on Gaia. I'd give it at least until midweek to see if people are still super whiny about the lost of skins.
Though, you gotta take into account of which age group is doing the whining. It's reminds me of a parent saying "If you both can't play with your toys peacefully, then you both can't have them. GO TO YOUR ROOMS! You're giving me a headache!"

And another reason not to take away the skins is that some people did pay GC to get followers in order to win and get the skin.

That was optional and making a thread (In the proper forum of course) can get you all 100 followers, that's what I did.

Taking away both skins won't solve anything. All it'll do will make the winners mad because they tried to win for it. If each team walks away with the same prizes the whole thing would be for nothing. Removing both skins is no better than saying, "He misbehaved so the whole class gets extra homework" is that fair? No.
I personally don't care too much as long as we get to keep the other items.

Regardless of what is done, people will bawwwww. This will be no different.

Personally though, I think this is the worst possible outcome, because everyone suffers regardless.

@x Tiryn, thank you for posting your opinion in a calm and logical way. It's nice that some people can be civilized about it.
You're welcome.

But really.
Why shouldn't the winners recieve the skin?
It's a grueling process to remain in the lead.
Why does the winner have to be punished for all their hard work?

Tiryn has a point if a person from either side did all the missions they really should get their skin if they're side loses .-.

can't live without it

Then what is the point of having a competition if both sides would "Win" anyway as "That's fair"?

Both sides STILL get items, it is only the skin that they would lose which will be soulbound anyway.

Why is a skin that important?

Thank you so much Kelli, for the kindness
