Welcome to Gaia! ::

Gaians will throw temper tantrums no matter what. I don't really see a point to this User Image

The event this time is set up as a contest between two opposing teams. Whoever wins gets the grand prize. That's typically how contests work....It's not like the losers walk away with nothing, they still get some nifty event items.

So either everyone gets a skin afterwards or nobody gets one? It's either all or nothing?

Or do you just want everyone to get nothing for their pains?
Mindless_Fury

First off you have no power the punish anyone in anyway.

Dont you see that YOU are throwing a tantrum stubbornly sticking to an idea and ranting and raving about how you should get your way and its all someone elses fault?

Where did I say that I had power to punish anyone?

I am giving my opinion, you are the one who seems to be overreacting to it.

So please stop trying to change the subject to my feelings, because those are irrelevant right now.

@x Tiryn, thank you for posting your opinion in a calm and logical way. It's nice that some people can be civilized about it.

What part of "Only the skin gets taken away" is hard to understand?

And I do not agree that both sides should get the skin anyway.

For some individuals, the skins are the only things that matter now, as a matter of principle. I mean, the skins are probably the most desirable thing about the entire event, now that Gaia's put all this hype and "LOSERS DON'T GET TO KEEP THEIRS, NEENER NEENER" out there.
This is an opinion. Opinions are based on feelings. What you feel = your opinion.

Your opinion is that if people wont be happy then everyone should be unhappy. When I worked in a school the kindergartners did this all the time. IF they werent the winner then EVERYONE should be just as unhappy as they are, and if there was an argument breaking out then there were kids who would cry that everyone should just be punished.

You are whining about those damn whiners. I am whinging about that damn whiner(you) whinging over those whining whiners.

Welcome to the circle of love.
My only issue is how they presented it.

It probably seems an old argument by now, but I'm just opposed to how they gave us the skins, and then said "We'll take 'em from the losing side."

Other than that, I'm not particularly opposed to any sort of outcome as long as I still have the Jack items and the robes. Since they haven't said their wiping anything but the skins, I'm fine with whatever they do to them.

It's just a matter of the presentation, is all.

I don't know...On one hand, what about the people who are willing to accept that there's a chance of them losing their skin? What about those on the side who won in that group of people? What about those who not only won, but worked to help their team win instead of wiping their hands after completing 500 missions and/or maxing out their stats?

On the other hand you've got yes, there's two extreme ways to fix this: give both teams the skin (which would result in hugs and kisses to staff for many, or from those who are never pleased [i'm not saying what they would say]), or take 'em both away (which would increase the disappointment and anger, aside from those who don't care). Then you've got the milder leave it as is. Which...look at that, it is a compromise...*ponders* Don't know how good of one it is, but it is one. Didn't notice that. *ponders some more*

So, yeah...I don't really know.

Gaia is not going "neener neener neener" anyone who claims that is just sensitive.

And if someone wins, it is not the loser who gets the winners trophy. The winner walks off with the prize.

Thats what the term Sore loser is, when someone is not being gracious about losing. That is a part of life we have to learn to get over. It's a coping lesson.

You're welcome.

But really.
Why shouldn't the winners recieve the skin?
It's a grueling process to remain in the lead.
Why does the winner have to be punished for all their hard work?

Honestly? I wish gaia would not make "special event skins" as some sort of ultimate prize. It causes drama whether it's presented this way or not, it seems. U_U

I consider feelings and opinions seperate.

And If you still think I am whining then I think you don't know what whining is. On the contrary I am getting slightly annoyed at you tossing that around with every post you make.

But please, can we stay on the subject, Im glad your so concerned with how I feel but it's really not pertaining to the subject at hand, is it?

I think the staff feels just as you do, not sure of what to do.

I don't have anything else to add to your post, you pretty much summed it up.

I actually think that the winner should get the skin, but only the winner.

To put such importance on a skin seems over the top silly to me. It is just a skin and not really worth stamping ones foot and saying "If I can't get one too I'm leaving the sandbox and going home!!"

I really can't wrap my brain around the fact that some people think this skin is soo freaking important that the whole event sucks for them and Gaia sucks too.

We still have eight days to compete so WTH?

Honestly, I think it's entirely logical the way they set up this event.

Two races are at war. If one wins, that means the other is eradicated and so of course their skin would be taken away. They're dead.

I don't think taking away both skins would work with the storyline.

As for people complaining about losing their skin, oh well. They'll get over it.

EDIT: @ Jayce above me: I completely agree with you there.
