Welcome to Gaia! ::

Your idea is terriable as it would have everone being pissed off at the admins over the loss of a item they got through legit means instead of about half the site (I think having one side or the other lose their skin was a bad but thats beside the point) being pissed for the same reason.

Then those users would be in the wrong.

Every single item we have in our inventories does not belong to us. It is within the Gaia TOS that for any reason and maybe for no reason at all Gaia can do whatever it wants with its property.

Since we have so many items from this event, why are people acting as if winning and the skin is as important as a life or death situation? Yes the event is glitchy on BOTH sides. And I also have heard accusations of the event being "Rigged" Since Gaia first had any event, all the events were claimed to have been rigged even if their was no shred of proof.

So if people are so concerned with "Fairness" lets make it fair, shall we?

The one side who loses will think that the ones who won are elitist so the solution is that noone gets a skin at all. If you take away an item everyone has been squabbling over then the reason to fight is no longer there.

Fight ends, people will get over it like the adults they are supposed to be.

In theory your right but most people on gaia are not going to see things that way all they are going to see is admins taking back something they gave to the users for no good reason.
I seem ot like this idea. I mean gaia has been spoiling the users quite a bit much, and it is best to take what they desire away, sure people will bawwww, but they'll get over it. I understand how you feel about this, at least taking the skins away shall be the only way in teaching everyone a lesson in being mature in dealing in win-or-lose situations.

How would they be in the wrong?
The SF provides a place for people to voice their opinions on these things, so therefore they cannot be "in the wrong".

Since when is it a bad thing to tell Gaia what is liked and what isn't. Apparently we must all kiss the admins a** now...

Adults? I think your on the wrong site... this site is mainly barely - teenagers. Not "adults".

So your telling me that Teens and young adults cannot be expected to act mature? that they have to act like little kids?

Gaia is not a "Kids" site, it is 13 and older. In 2003 the site was aimed and attracted a lot of older college age people. Sounds like you yourself have a little bit of an age bias thar.

and an opinion is one thing but believe it or not their is a difference between "Complaining to just hear yourself complain" and "constructive criticism". Sometimes it IS wrong to just make threads "This items sucks" and then nothing else to add how it could be improved.

Apparently some just type with no thought put into it at all.

And thanks for the laugh about me kissing admins a**, It was a good one.

Don't you think that'll just shaft both sides on the skins then? For trying to participate their time into the event? I mean, yes it's a game, but still people did invest their time into it.

Even if you do take the skins away it'll just be more complaints in the SF how people got screwed. I mean I don't know why eveyrone thinks, "They're punishing the loser!"

I thought that's what happens in competitions. There's a winner and then there's a loser. It's not punishment, it's how things work. People can cry how it's not fair, but I feel like it is fair. Not sure it'd make much sense if both sides kept their skins unless there was some "MEGA TWIST IN THE END AND IT WAS A STALEMATE."

People take things too seriously really.

Though most people know in usual competitions we aren't given the prizes before hand. That's why a lot of people are seeing it as unfair. We're given the prizes, but then they're snatched away at the end if we loose. That's what punishing the looser is.

Personally I just want this event to be done with already.

I don't think that is fair either seeing as both teams worked hard I think no one should lose their skin.

I am getting kind of sick of Gaia creating elitism.
