Header/Footer themes
emorexic-pimp
background: can we please have an option to change the default to somewhere else? barton gets awfully boring after awhile.
The goal is to have the header and footer change thematically for events. Right now, the header background changes with the section of the site you're in and any event. The goal is to have the footer do the same (although initially it will only be purple-themed).
Those of you with browser-extensions and CSS skillz can write your own CSS for the header/footer (which can also be used to hide/disable things).

actually, i meant to set other areas' header backgrounds (like the oh-so-pretty fishing hole one) to take over the default areas (like each of the main pages for example) instead of having barton there all the time.
on another note about the footer:
I had a tiny lap-top before and i'm sure at least a few users out there have one right now (i seem to remember something about lanzer having one too). the problem with tiny lap-tops is that they have tiny screens. the problem with tiny screens is that each and every toolbar takes up space on the browser. the one I had came with 3 different toolbars; bookmarks toolbar, a yahoo one, and some other one that i took off.
as of right there, most of the screen was taken up by: firefox 3's navigation bar, bookmark bar, the windows taskbar, and those other 2 toolbars.
after that, I downloaded the gaia and tektek ones because i find both highly useful. the problem came that more of the screen was taken up by bars than the actual content within the browser (even hiding the tektek one didn't make it much better). now, if you want to add all of those together and then add a floating footer
on top of that, i would have probably just given up on the site until i traded it in for a desktop. it was a nice computer, so i was reluctant to return it for a long while there. Hell, if i held my mouse over my gaia with it being at the very top of the screen, i wouldn't be able to get to anything below friends. It really was
that bad.
while i'm willing to at least give it a try now that I have an actual desktop again, i have to admit that it looks a lot nicer in those images Like OMFG posted
a few pages ago. it looks nice and neat while finally giving an actual purpose to the rest of that bar.
I HAS AN AUTO-FORMAT TOO! SEE?
