I don't know why they say they didn't release a footer because I clearly remember seeing it, disliking it and disable it this morning :/

they decided not to "release the header/footer as shown" which sneakyspeak for "we're still doing it, nyah"

Gaia staff failed once again.

When you're going to make changes like this and even make threads to talk about it, make an announcement. Not every Gaian visits the SF forums. The announcement would allow all Gaians to give their input and vote (this thread needs a poll) on if users like the idea or not. Doing so will allow you (the staff) to not deal with all these hate threads.

I am currently very disappointed with the footer, because it's broken. The footer refuses to show my Quick Links when I click on that button, and refuses to remain collapsed after I leave the current page I'm on. It was working very briefly previously, so I would be immensely grateful if someone actually fixed it so that it works properly for all users.

Really I believe this belongs in OMGaia like many of the other dev feedback/feature threads.
