Wow, thank you for actually taking our input and listening to what we want. I hope there is no footer at all to be honest. I didn't even notice it when I first looked at the mock up. It just wasn't noticeable. I never look at footers so I would miss so much.

But I do hope there's color in it and I liked the splash of color you had given it in your little preview.

Hello grace. I think that the feedback/observations observed in your 6/22 update are quite accurate and while I always wanted a "footer" I wanted it to mirror the one at the top of the page for easier access.
A lot of these changes seem wholly unnecessary. If I want to know what my friends are doing, I'll go to my Gaia.
I'm not going to read through all these posts, although I'm sure you do, but here are my suggestions:
Give an option to turn the footer off. (this would mean keeping things easily accessible in a similar way to how they are now)
If you need feedback from users that have tried out the new feature offer some users a beta testing option for the feature. I've seen it done with things like profiles v2 and other new features, why not this?
Those are my sleepy suggestions for the moment.

Please leave the site header alone, it does not need updating. Why not work on giving the World Map or Journals a face-lift instead?

Not a big fan of the logo tab thing - it's VERY jarring - and the gold/cash notification is giant and tacky. Otherwise looks good, though.

I'd LOVE to see those quick links being customisable, though. That would make my experience much smoother.
