People might turn the idea down, but how about items relating to Las Posadas? (it's a Latin American holiday that takes place during the nine days before Christmas Eve.)

Items could include:

Alginaldos (or just "treat bag" wink
type: Accesory for the hands.
"A bag full of fruit and candy as a reward for all that marching you did tonight.'
It would basically be a small plastic bag tied with ribbon and a holiday related pic on it, that can be equiped in the hand (and an option to hold a candy or piece of fruit in the other.)

whistle
item: Accesory
"Tweet tweet!"
This would come in different colors and could be equipped on the mouth or in the hand (similar to the cig)

sheet music:
type accesory
"Deck the halls with" ....bonds on molly? Okay, who wrote over this?!"
Would be a piece of paper with a musical note or scribbles on it. If the avvie's mouth is open, a musical note will float next to it.

pinata
"Smashy smashy biggrin "
type: either accesory and/or home item.
It would come in different shapes and/or colors. It would hang over the avatar (with the avatar holding a stick and/or bindfold.) or at the avatar's feet, broken and spilling candy. OR it could be hung inside the house and anyone equipped with a bat or pinata stick could whack it, causing a couple gold to hold out (but they wouldn't be able to break the pinata.)

Pinata suit
type: upper clothing
"Come on! Whack me! I'm full of candy."
Similar to the pinata item, except you would be dressed as one. It could have an option of it having a piece of the ouffit missing and candy fall out.

sparklers
type: hand accesory
"be careful of setting the person in front of you on fire."
They would be similar to the Roman candles, but smaller. They would come in red, green, white, and gold sparks.

cup of punch
type: accesory
"a warm sweet drink made from fruit. yum!"
It would be a styrofone cup with steam coming out and a sugar cane sticking out of the cup. Would be a hand accesory.

Just some stuff I figure you could add. sorry for my mispelling. sweatdrop

"Life is but a twinkle
The winking of an eye
A star that lights the universe
A flash across the sky"
Some of those suggestions can work as basic everyday items if they are not used for Las Posadas. I will add them when I have a bit more time. ^^

I have to get back to this eventually. N tends to be busy with college, or devoting her attention to other things.
