Introduction:

As a bit of a knock-off on my Halloween Suggestion thread [X], this one is for Christmas, the other major Gaian holiday event. Personally, I have been a bit diappointed with some of the more recent years' items (the only thing I liked last year, truth be told, was the earmuffs). Therefore, since we have some months until Christmas, this will be the chance for us Gaians to give ideas of what we would like to see at Christmas.

Rules/Guidelines:

-Unless otherwise stated, all ideas are mine.
-If an idea is not mine, I will put the username of the suggestor right after it.
-I will sometimes post ideas from other threads. If I do, I will credit the user and state that the suggestion was posted elsewhere. If I do not forget to do so, I will also post a link.
-If I forget to give credit to another user, kindly let me know so that I can fix it.
-I know that some of these suggestions already have petitions for them. If I can find said petitions, I will add them. Feel free to list any petitions that would be useful to this thread.
-Though not required, it makes it easier for me to find your idea and further categorize it if you use the Item Suggestion Form provided.
-I reserve the right to not add a suggestion. Some items, though they could work for Christmas, fit better in other places. If I feel that a suggestion does not fit, I will not add it. I will try to state reasons for rejecting an item.
-Do not spam my thread! I have had some instances of off-topic chat in this thread and my Halloween thread. Spam threads go in the Chatterbox; threads that go off-topic go in the Chatterbox. You do not want to see this poor thread put into the Chatterbox to be torn apart by noobs, do you? I do not mind a post, or two, so long as you get back on track, but I will request the halt to on-going conversations should I catch them. I have not yet had to take further action; please do not make me.
-Most importantly: Please read the items already listed before you post! I had two or three such mishaps in my other threads.

Search Tips:

-If it is a typical classic Christmas cliche (candy-canes, Christmas trees, etc.), it is probably already on the list.
-Try looking for the item by category (a movie item will be listed under the movies), rather than reading the entire list.
-CTRL+F will open a word search. Use that to check as well.

The Christmas Event

The following are good suggestions for this Christmas and Christmases to come, to give the administrators some good ideas.

The Event

-Musical Gift Cards: In order to avoid massive flooding of our inboxes, it would work like the Valentines Day cards that sent kisses or hugs with a message. We would click on a link by the avies to send them a musical gift card or a kiss under the mistletoe (both with messages we can put in)! (suggested by Lady_Threnody)
-Christmas Music in Towns, where we have carols playing in the background instead of the normal Towns theme. The could be an option to pick between...let us say five holiday songs, or keep the Towns theme. (variation on a suggestion by Cucco)
-Snow: When Towns gets covered in snow this year, allow snowballs to be collected. They could be thrown at other users and have some kind of scoring system (maybe this could be how to get the Jack Frost avatar?), or collected like trash to trade for other things, since there's less stuff found in Towns in the winter. (suggested by Snookums)
-Jack Frost. The legendary Jack Frost comes to Barton Town and casts a spell on the innocent Gaians turning them into Frostlings. The only way to cure this curse is with a magic scroll.

-Gift Dropping. You can wrap a gift and drop it on your friend's front step. Only your friend is able to pick it up. Yes, you could pick it up again if you left it in the wrong house by mistake. (suggested by Cucco)
-Santa Claus. Maybe at night in towns you can get a sky view in ONE place, and see Santa and his reindeer fly over. (suggested by Cucco)
-Frozen Fountains. The fountains in towns would be frozen over. Also, you could see your avatar's breath while sitting down in Towns. (suggested by Cucco)
-Snow Ball Fights as a winter-only game. (suggested by Cucco)
-NPC's in Christmas Costumes just like they are for Halloween. (suggested by Cucco)
-Sledding in towns, if the administrators can make it possible, as another winter-only mini game. (suggested by ~Angelina Elven~)
-Stockings. You can have stockings that people put small little gifts it. Like you start out with 100 gifts and you have to give them to 100 different people, and when you get a certain amount of gifts you get an item. (suggested by tigar_lily)
-Gift Card: The ability to purchase Gift Credits in gold, with the exception that they can only be used in whichever Gaia store the card was purchased in (so that people would still be likely to pay real money for regular Gift Credits). Available with several card designs! These would be in your inventory until they are used. Nightmare's Addition: Let avatars hold them when we are done. ^^ (suggested by Snookums)
-Wish Lists.

Snookums

About a week before Christmas, every Gaian is given the opportunity to fill out a wish list. On Christmas, users who have no warnings/bannings from 2006 will get an item from their list. Users who have been convicted of TOS violations this year will get a lump of coal instead (hmm, might not want to reward them with new items though...maybe something annoying to get rid of like 100 pairs of peasant pants instead? rofl )

To avoid having to give out lots of halos or other high-cost items, the wish lists could have several price range categories, and it will be mandatory for the user to place an item in each category (if nothing is selected for that category, a random item will be placed on their list in that slot). The item grant will be randomized from these items, and only a handful of users would get the most expensive items. To avoid unfortunate events such as rose corsages going to dead accounts, users who did not fill out wish lists will not be granted anything.

-Earmuffs, preferably red or green. I liked the Holly Jolly ones, but there is always room for improvement
-Ornaments that can hang off your avatar, such as a Sash of Tinsel, Glass Bauble Earrings, and a Shining Star hat
-Santa Plushie. " A plushie of the Gaia's Santa; wearing a suit and all." (suggested by Lady_Threnody)
-Mrs. Clause Plushie. " A plushie of the Gaia's Mrs. Clause; wearing a suit and all." (suggested by Lady_Threnody)
-Elftech Plushie. " A plushie of the Gaia's Elf Techs; wearing a suit and all." (suggested by Lady_Threnody)
-Holly Jolly Radio (suggested by Cucco)
-Gag Gift: A present box that looks like any other wrapped gift, available in all the wrapping styles of normal gifts, but when opened causes a status effect that lasts 24 hours + next avatar save. Each wrapping option could be a different gag - one could have a punching glove on a spring that gives a bruise, another could have something that blows up like on April Fool's Day 2004 (sootface!!), one could have a stinkbomb that makes the recipient's face green and nauseated-looking, among others. Cannot be opened by the purchaser, must be given as a gift. (suggested by Snookums)

Frosty the Snowman:

-Magical Hat. "He put this on and had a compelling urge to dance around." Mostly, it be a slightly goofy Top Hat with a little flower on it.
-Corn Cob Pipe. "It makes nice bubbles."
-Button Nose: Just a somewhat cute idea, having a little button on your avatar's face.
-Carrot Nose: For a change. ^^
-Mound of Snow: Just a huge snowdrift that entirely covers your avatar
-Snow Man Plushie, because I think those things are cute in real life.

Jack Frost:

-Frosty Clothing: blue and white clothing with icicles hanging from it
-Frosty Breath: a small puff of breath at your avatar's mouth
-Red Nose Tip, because you nose goes red in the cold.
-Tissues to go with it. (suggested by Cucco)
-Empty Box with a little bow on it (suggested by Cucco)

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer:

I know we already have a nice reindeer set and two masks to go with it, but:

-Glowing Nose. Sort of like the Clown Nose, but it is shinier and you have an option to make it glow.
-Reindeer Medals. For the Reindeer Games, of course!
-Fog: A grayish mist around your avatar. It would go nicely with the nose.
-Reindeer Plushie, ones that come with black noses, and ones that come with red. The red-nosed reindeer would be more expensive, since their noses would have an option to light up.

The Night Before Christmas: (inspired by Harls)

-Santa's Sooty Suit. "Down the chimney he came..." (suggested by Harls)
-Wooden Spoon with a holly on it. "Not a creature was stirring..."
-Mouse: to sit on your shoulder, head, in your hand, or at your feet
-Mouse Costume, with separate ears and a tail to add in to the demand of more animal items. (suggested by Kitunny)

A Christmas Carol: (inspired by Kitunny)

-Christmas Crutch. "God bless us, everyone."
-Miser's Hat: a black hat similar to the top hats, but it would look like it were made of velvet or something. All Miser items would be cheap, of course, to fit Ebenezer Scrooge.
-Miser's Coat: a coat that comes in a variety of dark or earthen colors
-Miser's Pants: gray, black, or brown pants
-Miser's Shoes: black or brown shoes that look a little worn, but nice.
-Miser's Purse: a small bag that can be worn at the waist or held in the hand
-Tattered Coat: an old coat that would fit the time period (I think 1800's). It would look nicer than the peasant set
-Tattered Pants: old pants that ould fit the time period
-Tattered Stockings: nice stocking with a hole in the toe in at least one
-Tattered Shoes: old worn shoes
-Tattered Dress: a worn dress that would look nicer than the peasant cothes
-Tattered Shawl to go with the Tattered Dress
-Coal Bucket for homes
-Ink and Quill to be held or displayed
-Old Stove for the homes
-Four-Poster Bed which can come in a variety of colors
-Holly Crown. It is worn by the Ghost of Christmas Past in every version I have ever seen.
-Christmas Robe to come in red, green, or white. It could have holly trim.
-Various Fruit to be held (I am mostly pulling that from the Disney version)
-Hooded Christmas Robe which would come in black, not to be confused with the Grim Reaper's robe. This one would look a lot sleeker, maybe (for a joke) have a piece of holly or some other Christmas item somewhere on it. There could also be an option to have a pointing skeleton hand. -Feasting Table
-Various Gowns and Suits from This Time Period! Enough said.

-Gold Crook. "A golden staff to smack them sheep when they get out of line." Every shepherd has his staff, it's part of the outfit (and can be used as a weapon to beat away enemies).

-Reversible Two Tone Knit Caps: Various types of hats that come in a variety of colors (not like the Winter Hats and Winter Scarves in the NPC shops). These will have an ornament hanging at the tips of the hats and will be shaped like the traditional Santa Hat (just with another one of those thingers pointing out to have three instead of two like the Joker hats ... the other two being a bit smaller). -Fuzzy Santa Slippers: "Slippers made to keep your feet warm that feature the one and only Santa!" (suggested by It was an MGM)

-Saint Nicholas/Father Christmas Coat. We have a Santa suit, but I'm more of a fan of the traditional St. Nicholas coat. It's long, reaching to the ground, with a huge fur lined hood and long draping sleeves. [x] [x] [x] [x] [x] It could be red, white, blue, or green, with white fur trim. Maybe the hood could be worn up or down. No big belly involved in this one, though. It could be part of a set, including the underrobe, the sash/rope holding it closed, etc. (suggested by rimedragona)
-Saint Nicholas/Father Christmas Hat. A much longer version of the Jolly hat. Reaches to the shoulder blades and may or may not end in a puff ball, but does have the white trim. (suggested by rimedragona)
(1) Green G-Mas Dress. "I'm santa's lil helper!" A colorful dress based on gothic lolita style. Can be worn for festive times, or as casual wear.
(2) Black G-Mas Dress. "Even black can look festive."
(3) Plaid G-Mas Dress. "Plaid 'n beautiful."
4) Red G-Mas Dress. "Uber-cute and flashy." An outfit that shows a bit of skin through lacy areas, as well as having a slight V-cut.

-Sandy Claws Plush Doll. A tall, thin doll with a round, bald head and two black eyes---so it does not entirely resemble Jack. (suggested by Tsukabu Nosoratori)
-Sandy Claws Hat. Like the Jolly Hat, only long and thinner.
-Sandy Claws Suit. It would be like the Jolly set we already have, but skinnier, and it would have long coattails. <3
-Sandy Claws Boots. Some good tall, thin, knee-high boots for males! (It would be unisex of course, but the male boots we have, in my opinion, are rather ugly. These would change that. <3)
-Sandy's Claws: two big black or red lobster claws with furry cuffs (Note: not in the movie, but inspired by the "Sandy Claws" pun)
-Cookie-Making Machine for the Homes. (suggested by Harls)
-Candy-Cane Handled Umbrella
-Twisted Toys
-Twisted Presents to be held, but not opened.
-Pillow with a Wreath. There was a pillow with a wreath embroidery on couh when mortals were locking windows, pushing furniture in front of the fireplace, etc. to keep Jack and his creepy toys out.
-Elf Pajamas. Honestly, the elf suits look like them. They could have long toes and make your avatar look just a little chubby.
-Long Elf Hats. A lot of the elf hats are tall, some straight, and some curled at the top.
-Coffin Sleigh for the homes.
-Giant Snake. It could wrap around your avatar, and in the homes, it could have an option to have a Chrismas tree halfway down its throat.
-Merry-Go-Round for homes.
-Giant Christmas Tree to replace the fountains temporarily in Towns.
-Toys in Vials. "These dolls and toys confuse me so!" Basically, they would be toys floating in glass containers.
-Spider Snowflake. "...But I only cut triangles! How did I get a spider out of triangles?"
-Dissected Teddy Bear.
-Wind-Up Polar Bear. Though elves were able to ride it in the movie, it could be a handheld item.
-Twisted Presents. These would be handheld and unopenable.
-Santa's List. "There are hardly any naughty children this year!"

-Grinch Base. S-Corp can send out candy canes to everyone in celebration of the winter holiday. The candy canes will be dark green and light green alternating stripes, and if you equip it to your avvie, then instead of holding a candycane, you receive the base (i'm not sure how the vials work since I've not experienced it before, but if you can eat / drink things, then the avvies have the option to eat the candy cane instead). To get rid of the base and turn to normal, you need a gray and white candy cane :3

I think, for the random trees around [in Towns], there should be one allocated to each Gaian, then given items, or they can search for items, such as lights, frosting, decorations, and decorate the allocated tree.

-Variety. We can have green, white, silver, blue, purple, yellow, red...
-Ornaments. We should be able to decorate them ourselves. Make it like the shelves in homes, where we can set an ornament on a branch.
