I was at the local Base Exchange today and noticed that they stock $25 Cashcards. This got me wondering, if there was any chance of stores OTHER THAN Target getting 'bonus item with purchase' cards. I can already imagine some of the items for exchange locations: Army/Air Force, Navy, Marines, Coast Guard. I feel that it'd be a nice little program extension for the families that serve and sacrifice.

Anyone else have any constructive thoughts on this?

How about maybe cards at Gamestop or whatever? Or maybe Subway and Arby's...OMG,What if they got G4 to do some promoting on Attack of the show? We need more PR with the gaming industry as well as the clothing industry and maybe some promotions on the radio and tv nation wide...but I guess the problem would be money to start out with cuz you know,"it takes money to make money"...but it's only a matter of time though. At least for me it is...
sounds good to me.
Actually, it cant. The deal Target made with Gaia was that they got a special item which forced people to buy from them in order to get the extra item. They would stop carrying them if Gaia let other stores get the special items too.

i once had tons of people flame me when i said they should advertise in Shonen jump, and they did.

I think they should have walmart, K-mart (if they are still around) maybe Biggs or Big lots and Krogers stock them. Walgreens would be nice too, i think they're owned by the CVS people anyways. like how the people who own krogers also own the soaps you watch during the day.
Its only a target thing they make these companies give special things only if bought at target so really no other store could do it cause its basically a contract type deal.

So I guess there's the knife-to-the-neck if Gaia tries to get other stoers in on the deal right? neutral

Only if they try to make a special item that's similar to the ones they made for Target. But the fact is is that Gaia, as a business, might not sell the cards, which is always a risk for every store that might consider selling the cards. (Besides, didn't they make a deal with Rite Aid or something before Target? That company doesn't get the special items, but they do sell the cards, as I remember.)

As for the selling on military grounds.... I think they're concerned with things more important than buying cash for an internet site. So that's not going to happen. And the Coast Guard is more like the police, and don't live on military bases.

Good point. I'm gonna have to use my rare "tip of the hat" for you

but I don't think I was around when they tried to make a deal with rite aid sweatdrop
Wait... Wait... Oh my god, that's awesome. XD I need to go with my parents the next time they hit up a base, just to see. I won't get my military benefits for much longer (damn that... graduation thing... razz ), so I just want to see this. >w< Squee~

I think it would be nice to see prizes on other Cash Cards, but I'm pretty sure the main reason Target wanted the extra prizes was to make the cards stocked at Target more exclusive Although, if there were different items at Rite-Aid/the Exchange/Wal-Mart, Target would still have an exclusive item... If it wouldn't be a breach of contract, thought, it'd be cool to see. :3

I'm pretty sure that there contract was the were the only one to have items period. If it was just one kind of item they would still have the Kaya the cat on the cards and not Benny.
