Exactly I could buy two Game Cube games for 60 bucks. At least I can sell back the games for something other than gold later on. Items should be reasonably priced and fun not put in a RIG and so expensive they make you broke - that's not fun.

The only good thing I have to say about this rig, is that it dropped some prices on items that were overly priced anyway.
HOWEVER, if they would of put them in the stores properly in the first place, the prices wouldn't of been that bad anyway.

Nope. Not going to do it. Basically, according to pirula, just releasing the items straight into the cash shop instead of RIGs would generate less revenue. However, straight-to-cash-shop items are of less quality and fewer demand than RIG items. And since Gaia has not run a complete test to examine whether or not RIG-quality items being released en masse straight to the cash shop would hurt Gaia's bottom-line, I have no reason to believe that it actually would.

No, I'm not buying this RIG. I have not bought ANY of them and disliked the idea of them from the start. Also the only cash I have personally used was $10 gifted to me by a friend, and the free 25 and 40 GC we were given. I am happy enough not having all the new pretty items. I save up and get what I can afford to (and would work with my avatar) purely with gold. And its getting harder and harder to do.

My wife buys some MC's or EIs if she really wants them and doesn't have enough gold for it as well as a few aquarium decorations (but never fish). Not once has she bought any of the RIGs either with gold or direct from the CS (but like me has opened a couple of the older ones when they were given from the overseer).

I stopped purchasing RIGs after the soulbound Oni incident. sweatdrop I've never gotten an item that I want out of RIGs, and it gives me mixed feelings of disappointment, regret, and then the hard-to-resist-urge to gamble some more. NOT HEALTHY, so I'm not touching them with a ten-foot pole. sweatdrop

Might want to clarify something else too:

BUYING THEM WITH GOLD DEFEATS THE TRUE PURPOSE OF THIS. Exchange whores will buy them with GC, and then sell them for a ton of gold. If you support them, they WILL buy them. DO NOT BUY THEM AT ALL! I'd hold off on rare items too. just IGNORE THEM. It's not a boycott unless you boycott everything!

I will no longer buy RIGs from the CS. They're fun, but a waste of money. I will from now on only buy other CS items and MCs most of the time. Rarely buying EIs. Why? Because apparently the only votes that count are the ones you pay to make.:eyeroll:

Not doing one when they claim they have (NOT) only makes them look like liars, we know that- they know that. A company shouldn't be messing with it's users like this is they want money from us.

Honestly, I see absolutely NO reason why they haven't done a legit tes and put the items WE want, hanve pleaded and petitioned for DtCS (direct to cash shop) when there is absolutely NOTHING to lose. People WANT the items- would pay out the a** for the items, but NOT if they're coming out in a goddamn RIG

It's a sleazy way of making quick money off of users, and getting a worthless gold shop item in an item like this feels like a massive middle finger. And speaking of giving the users the finger, I can hardly believe they had the gall to take what people had been asking for since the beginning of Gaia and make it near impossible to reasonably obtain them.

And the Gund*mu Cardboard left an especially bad taste in my mouth. Putting an item that could have been used in the trash system in a RIG? That makes no sense, and kind of leaves the impression that they don't give a ******** about any of the site features that don't involve pushing Gaia Cash on us.

Thirded - I want a test as well. Put some RIG rare quality items in the cash shop in varying prices and see how well they sell.

I agree. Just to give users an idea - Its funny how they won't update fishing and haven't released new fishing exchange items since 06. And - they haven't updated the trash exchange in probably the same amount of time. Yet - they pump out new EIs and RIGS like they're nothing.

Sounds to me like if its not paid with Cash - then the higher ups don't give a darn whether we get them or not. neutral

I guess you can say I'm straight edge. I don't drink, smoke, or do drugs. And I definitely don't gamble. I don't even touch lottery tickets I get as gifts. I know that I can't handle these things, that I'd destroy myself if I got addicted, so I refrain from being in their presence if I can.

Right now being on Gaia is getting hard. I have thus far refused to look up the items in this new RIG. I know from what people have said that a lot of them are in high demand, and from that alone I have had to resist the urge to go after them.

I know it's my own problem if I can't gamble in moderation, but it sure as hell feels like Gaia's trying everything they can to suck me dry.

I may have to quit if this keeps up.
