You know okay how can they say we wont buy them?

Okay the Hermes Moon was 999 Cash was it not?

And people paid for it.

So EXPLAIN HOW YOU CAN SAY PEOPLE WOULD NOT, Buy the Mercury Moon at the same price.

They would. The problem is that Gaia wants these items to be rare, so they are being nazi over how these items are released.

Alyx> Exactly.

Kole> The thousands of weak minded individuals that fall for the marketing ploy every month. sweatdrop

Ninja> I know. D: I would be happy if they would get rid of the trash that is in them.

In the case of the Mercury's moon, I would have paid a crap ton more than 999 gc for it.... But, yeah, I wasted 1.17 mil gold for it instead. xp

Only 1.17?

It's at like 2 Mil right now, consider your self lucky in a way.

I'll never be able to get it same with the Orinkage.

I want one but it's a dream one that is nothing more then the same as wanting an A-Halo.

Might as well stop wanting it now.

Lunar Dew Drop

Right now counting just the ones on the MP alone + my 1.

There are 105 Hermes Moon's.

I know that's NO WHERE near what the real total is, so yea Gaia is feeding us True BS.

The Moon has been one of the most Successful items ever, they even noted it them selves as it was the creator of the Fallen Wish whom made it and it was noted in that when it came out.

So there is nothing they can say anymore.

They are proved wrong now.

From the 1st page it was pretty much Bottom Paged has some nice info in it too.

I'm sorry I now have 100% lost faith in Gaia, at least the main branches of it.

Because a Dev said one thing a DEV.

Yet they tell us other wise there AND if you put it at 999 I know it would sell like the old moon if not more.

If you did 1 single thing I know how you could increase Profit even more.

Okay one thing people would DIE FOR, is Both wings.

Make the Wings to be put on either side and you can have a pair and if you released the M-Moon while you did that...You would rake in more then you want to tell us.

Ever since the corporate take over of Gaia, it really hasn't been the same. I mean they have done good things for the site but it's things like this that really just piss me off. MCs overall quality are not as good as they were back in the day, some are though.

Its still new, so they could possibly still drop a bit, it is however still excessive. Gaia should not be promoting AI.

Kole> Thats because more people spend money on items like EI's. I haven't bought an M/C in awhile...

Well Ei's work fine they are great.

Also you can quote my 2nd quote if you want that explains the price and so on and then the idea along with it and how you can it's to much BS not to do it.

They can't say we wouldn't buy it because if we wouldn't buy it?

Then why did the Hermes Moon do so well?

Also yea....But I doubt it will drop to a low of 300k, if it does I would make love to gaia's big bald head.

Gaia is just desperate, it's a bad economy we all know that and they are just doing this so people will get frustrated and buy more when in fact they are just pissing their users off and if they continue to do so the users will shut off it's money flow of purchases. They need to have things that users will love, the bag of win was cool but caused inflation, or like you said put the items in the cash shop, people will buy them if they want them bad enough.

It just hit me..What about making them EI's?

Really truly making them EI's?

You could take what you have now and expand on it.

They would be 999 Cash but you could do it, the EI doesn't have to have a** loads of new poses added.

But it's possible.

The M-Moon could totally do it.

105 Moons is over 1k USD.

That's easy to get in just gen 1 alone.

But they aren't the only ones that are affected by this, by ignoring that fact they are really alienating the users that are feeling the it.

Personally, I think that excuse is a load of crap. Its what they want us to believe, just like the rest of big business out there.

Thank you Lolli for this thread. heart

Why will I not buy RIGS - they're a waste of money. I want the items sure but I'm not going to spend tons of real life money on a chance that I may get the item I want.
I will not, and have not since the Halloween themed RIG. Also considering not buying RIG items in the marketplace, as the indirectly supports it. I don't like the direction the cash shop is taking; might as well call it the EI and RIG shop. Also not liking how far some items are being pushed on the rarity scale. Obviously some prizes will be harder to get than others, but does Gaia staff really not see anything wrong with items being worth a million gold or more when they've been out a fraction of the time as old MCs?

TL;DR
*flips RIGs off*
I no longer purchase RIGs.

Why? Because it's just not worth it. If I'm going to spend real money on Gaia, I'm going to want to make sure of what I buy. While they're now trying to sell the "experience" of opening them ... it's still not worth it when all I take away from that "experience" is a gold shop item worth less than the cash-price of the RIG. Or a pittance of actual gold, in form of a "Fail" token. Not much consolation, seriously. stare

If there's something I want, I want to be able to just get it. I do not want to end up with a pile of random other items that I have no desire to own, and thus must sell.

But most of all? I do not want to spend real money with no promise that I will get the specific item or items I'm wanting.

So ... since I am not a lucky person, the best way to use my gold would be to buy cash shop items and resell them for the funds to get what I want.

$10 to get 9 GBoi's... if I sold them right now for 40k each, I'd end up with 360k.

If I wanted, say, Gaia Tan (which I don't) I would have to purchase and then resell 53 Gee Boi's to reach the current lowest marketplace price (2.1 million). That's ... 5, practically 6 bundles. $60 for one item? That's groceries for a week. That's gas for a month. That's utility bills.

Ok, I said no to this round of RIG, when normally I'd buy a butt ton for one reason. Answering petitions in a RIG is NOT A GOOD GAIAN MOVE. My first account was an August 2003, I've owned a halo, I was GIVEN one in fact. Think about it, I've been here long enough to have been GIVEN an angelic halo, and have seen/probably signed most of those petitions, you know, back when Gaia WAS and ANIME/RP site. I'm not saying this to be elitest or something like that, but why Gaia? Why answer our blood, sweat, and tears with a slap-in-the-face like petitioned items in a RIG? That's it for me, no more RIG bought.

I will no longer buy RIG's either. I gave it one last try with this RIG, and it is still the same, in fact, I think it's worse than the other's. Because they took their users ideas/wants and shoved them in a RIG and basically, imo, are saying:

Here's the stuff you keep asking us for, but...... (and that's a BIG BUT) they are in a form you will have to pay BIG bucks for (if you are even lucky enough to get them).

I will not buy RIG's again. This has left a really bad feeling in me. And I buy Gaia Cash Cards EVERY week. And I have 6 kids, so my feelings are gonna be a big factor on whether they play & pay here or not. So, I think Gaia needs to re-evaluate their decisions on these items if they want to keep their users AND future users.
