I know this wasnt directed to me, but they ARE controlling market prices by controlling supply.. I'm sure this was gone through before in the thread? They know what users want badly and they know if its rare, the AIers will come. They arent directly controlling it but they do have a hand in it.

No. They are controlling supply which affects prices, they are not telling users how much to sell these items for. There is a difference. neutral

Oh, absolutely not the /exact/ same thing. The result is the same, though, and they've pretty much said they're aware of it. I don't mind them controlling supply /too/ much (although I'd MUCH prefer just being able to buy the damn items; depending on the prices supply would still be controlled to an extent, eg making the MM $10), but all the rare items get in the hands of AIers and Gaia doesn't seem to be making ANY efforts to deal with that.

Of course not, if they step in on the AI, then less people will buy the RIG. It works out for them even if AI is against the rules.

Gaia made the item rare, and the item is what users wanted for years, so of course AI'ers will take the price and shoot it up to an all time high.

I wasn't buying RIGs anyway - I haven't done so since the first one - but I absolutely support this boycott.

The items are lovely, Gaia, and I WANT to buy them - just not this way.

Regarding pirula's statement about regular CS items not selling: honestly, you haven't tried. CS updates are a quarter of the size of the items in a RIG, and usually are also lower quality and with a lower number of poses. Of course they're not going to sell as well as the items in RIGs, which are generally brilliant pieces of work.

That, and the singular items in the Cash Shop are kinda lame. I mean, how many Dashing Gentleman's Sashes do you need? Only one. Also the wedding/formal sets have been in there since the start of the Cash Shop, so yeah, people aren't going to be buying those items anymore because they may have already gotten them when they came out.

If Gaia didn't want to promote business crime then why are they *purposefully* making rare items in the RIGs, which would make AIers AI?
