D: You guys rock! We were in the top threads when I got up this morning!!

Keep it up, please!! heart
Introduction:
For those who do not know what a RIG is:
The term RIG stands for Random Item Generator. Examples of these items are GeeBoi Turbo, RepoLamp, and Famestar 2000.
The intent of this thread is reform RIGS and gain better items in the cash shop through a community effort. Many users feel as if Gaia is taking advantage of them as well as feeling that they should no longer make item suggestions on this site.
I feel that the actions of the Gaia Administration, as far as RIGS are concerned, are not very community oriented.
I am not asking for the cash shop to be terminated. Most of us realize that Gaia does need money. This argument is null, so please do not post it.
Personally, I do not like the RIGS. They are not worth the money that is spent on them, as the rare drops are rather low. I WANT to give you money, Gaia, but I won't give you money for an item that is essentially ripping me off.
To put this in to terms you'll understand: help me help you making money by giving me items I am willing to spend money on.
The Problem:
Many users cannot afford to purchase RIGS.
Some users just cannot buy cash.
Some users won't spend cash on the RIGS, as they would rather have the option to purchase them outright.
Common Arguments Pro-RIG:
First of all you do not know my spending habits or the spending habits of others in your thread. Making assumptions is hardly an argument.
Secondly, with out users there would be no Gaia. Where is your argument? Gaia should listen to its users and give them them ways to spend money on their site. Right now, several of us feel limited on the amount of support we can give.
That isn't the point. Every one needs money. This isn't an argument, its common sense.
No, I'm not, I am telling Gaia I that I do want these items and I will pay cash for them as long as they are not in a RIG. This comment doesn't even make sense.
This is just a stupid statement. EVERY ONE is, further more it has nothing at all to do with the RIG items.
We all know this and it isn't the issue. The issue is that I don't like RIGS and I would like to see the items released in the CS so that every one has a FAIR chance at getting the items they want or any of the many other suggestions in this post.
Are M/C's not considered to be rare any more? This is the HUGE flaw in this argument. Placing these items in the cash shop for a month or even two weeks would still make them rare AND affordable to the marketplace users. As time goes on items will naturally inflate, as they always have.
This argument is slightly elitist as well. rolleyes
We have enough of this kind of nonsense with out RIGS.
This thread is for constructive posts, not trolling. These statements are not a constructive posts and fail arguments. Don't post them.
We aren't stupid, if you would have read the first post at all you'd know that we realize Gaia needs money. Further more, no users = no Gaia. Just saying.
We know what a RIG is, explaining it isn't going to make us buy it or be happier with it.
A majority of the users do use cash, this is still not a reason of why the site should cater only to them. The pretense of Gaia is that it is fair to all users, regardless of if they use cash. This is what they have said from the beginning.
We aren't asking for RIGs to be taken away all together. We are, asking that they decline the amount of RIG items and requesting that they DO put things in the cash shop we will spend money on. We want to help the site out too. Cash shop is very rarely ever updated with anything but RIGs and EI's. We can't continually buy the s**t that has been in the CS since it opened. I have no need for any more than one of each of those items.
M/C's aren't considered to be rares? They are sold in the cash shop for a whole month.
Any others will be posted as they happen.
PLEASE TRY TO BE POLITE WHEN POSTING. TROLLING AND BEING AN a*****e WILL LIKELY GET YOU KICKED FROM THIS THREAD.
I don't mind if you disagree, but there is no need to be a d**k to other users because of it.
Some of you seem to think that because you like RIGs means that we don't have a right to complain. Read the rules, this is the Site Feedback forum, not the GD or the GCD. Trolling isn't helping your case.
With that being said I welcome ALL feedback, agree or not as long at its actual feedback.
Solutions:
Place RIG worthy items, all 40+ of them in the Cash Shop, even if it is just once, for 2 weeks to 1 month. Give us the chance to PROVE to you that we WILL buy these items out side of the RIGS.
Increase the drops of rare items and eliminate the fish, store items, and car/housing items.
Place rares in gift boxes.
Other good points:
The two following posts are probably the best ones made so far. Please take the time to read them
Right now counting just the ones on the MP alone + my 1.
There are 105 Hermes Moon's.
I know that's NO WHERE near what the real total is, so yea Gaia is feeding us True BS.
The Moon has been one of the most Successful items ever, they even noted it them selves as it was the creator of the Fallen Wish whom made it and it was noted in that when it came out.
So there is nothing they can say anymore.
They are proved wrong now.
From the 1st page it was pretty much Bottom Paged has some nice info in it too.
I'm sorry I now have 100% lost faith in Gaia, at least the main branches of it.
Because a Dev said one thing a DEV.
Yet they tell us other wise there AND if you put it at 999 I know it would sell like the old moon if not more.
If you did 1 single thing I know how you could increase Profit even more.
Okay one thing people would DIE FOR, is Both wings.
Make the Wings to be put on either side and you can have a pair and if you released the M-Moon while you did that...You would rake in more then you want to tell us.
Oh Thank You!!
A well put together thread!! mrgreen
Someone said "People would pay 999 cash for a M-Moon I would bet."
Ya know what... I WOULD. heart In a quick New York minute! heart
Users have been asking for a wink for a long time. wink
It shouldn't have gone into a rig... EVER! (i'm personally not all that interested in it) BUT, if it had been an MC I would have bought many. I'd keep one for myself, one for my daughter, my son & a couple for friends. But I won't spend 999 to take my chance at not getting the item. And btw... if I wanted those GS items ya'll stick in those rigs I would have already bought them. No need to dump a bunch of unwanted things in my lap.
I watched a friend yesterday use up an entire bundle... everything he got was GS items & idiot hair. crying
Yes, everyone needs money... Gaia does & so we.
They have a company to support & we have families to support.
Guess what Gaia, my need trumps yours.
When the rubber meets the road it is the needs of my family that matter to me, not yours.
And ya know what Gaia... you NEED me (and other users) more then we need you. It would serve you best not to take advantage of us.
When it all boils down, I will do what is best for me & my family. And sadly that means cutting part of you out of my budget.
I personally will only be buying MC's.
The better the MC the more people will purchase.
This is something you really need to hear, Gaia. WE DON'T NEED YOU. WITH OUT US YOU'D CEASE TO EXIST.

LIST OF REQUESTED ITEMS THAT HAVE BEEN PUT IN TO THE GEE BOI RIG:

A small trekkie petition: http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/petitions/warp-factor-10-general-sci-fi-items-petition/t.38135001_1/
The Corgi, btw, is supposedly from Cowboy Bebop.
The Leek comes from a clip from the anime Bleach set to Loituma's Levan Polka. It's a meme.
Update:
CAN WE PLEASE HAVE SOME RIG WORTHY ITEMS TO REPLACE THESE??? Please also ROTATE the normal cash shop items on a daily basis. At least give us the change to PROVE that we will spend money on things. The reason people aren't is because they have been there FOR AT LEAST A YEAR!
6/23/09
Wow, guys. Talk about failure at listening to your users. neutral Midsummer (even though its not midsummer) Swirl has been added to the cash shop and its exactly the kind of RIG that the users ASKED you not to release any more.
On the upside, this is our chance to show them we aren't going to spend money on these items. n_n

take away rigs, and it's just like, well, what about the people who liked them? Are you saying we should just get rid of a dashing gentlemens outfit all together as well then?
don't get me wrong, I dont aprove of it being..
rig, rig, rig, rig, rig, cash shop item, rig, evolving cash shop item, rig, rig, shop update. rgrigrig.
But occasionally works for me, and it works for others. it's fun.
I mean, should we just ban prize grab games because theres a chance you wont get your moneys worth?
or contests that you pay to enter, because some of you may not win the prize?
I am tryin to be polite here, I apologize if I am not greatly good at it.

No Idea/Criticism is Without Merit:
Site Feedback is for discussing a wide variety of ideas and concerns regarding the site. With that, there will be cases where you may not agree with another Gaian's idea. It is okay to disagree in a respectful manner; it is not okay to be abusive to other Gaians that do not share your view point. Creating threads that bar other members from posting; example: "If you don't like my idea you can GTFO", will result in your thread or post being removed from the forum. The Terms of Service always apply on Gaia; the SF forum is no exception. If you feel another Gaian is being abusive towards you, please simply report the post and let a moderator follow up and deal with it.

Being a person who hates to spend money on almost anything, I can see two sides to this which are both Valid.
RIGS. what are they? obviously that was answered. Now everyone obviously wants the high priced items in the RIGS. Heck I know there's several items I would have loved to have.
I agree with the fact also that "Instant Rares" is just wrong. Gaia should listen to the people and offer a comprimise.
First. KEEP THE RIGS. I know a lot of people would hate this but hear me out. Release the RIG first. Run that for about oh maybe a few months. then skip to phase two.
Phase two: release the actual item in CS. the actual item itself would probably be more expensive then buying a RIG but you would be guaranteed to get it. This would solve a two-sided problem, as those that enjoy RIGS would still be able to get them. and those that want the actual item could get it without having to pay a literal arm and leg. Also Gaia benefits because they would make much more cash that way.

Thumbs up!
IMO there is no problem in they making a Gaia Cash shop and stuff, also no problem in those cash items being better than gold items...they are paid so they are supposed to be better.
But the thing is that Gaia should give people the option of gambling OR NOT. I even suggested Lanzer a good way to fix it but it was too late since GeeBoi came out a few hours after (the idea was meant to be posted at this week ATA, but holiday screwed it all sweatdrop )
My suggestion:
Instead of of making bundles cheaper, make them worth of the same as 9 singles (if a single is 149 then a bundle should be 1490 instead of 999) and add bundles a "bundle coupon" that would allow you to exchange it for any of the items exclusives of that RIG.
What do this mean? If you wanna gamble, go ahead. If you don't, buy a bundle so you would receive your coupon and get the item you want.
Want 2 specific items? Buy 2 bundles.
But why would a bundle cost more? Because you would be receiving 9 RIGs + 1 coupon...so actually you're receiving 10 items. It's still an excelent deal! Great to both Gaia and users! 3nodding

Lolli, I just thought of an idea. I don't know how this would affect MP prices, but this could be a compromise.
Why can't they release the items and the RIGs containing said items into the CS at the same time? Just think about it: You pay 149 cash for the chance to get a really awesome item (say, the orinkage) or you could pay anywhere from 199-499 cash for the orinkage and not deal with the hassle of the gambling item.
That way, people can still enjoy their RIGs and those who want the guarantee of buying the exact item they wanted will be able to do so.
However, I think that the RIG items shouldn't exceed 499 cash. The exceptions would be recolors of popular EIs, in which case the recolor should be priced the same as the original EI (i.e. 999 for the Mercury Moon)
Plus, by putting the RIG and the special RIG-only items in the cash shop at the same time, they would theoretically make more money. The people who want the RIGs (after all, there would still by mythrill coins in them, however much we despise those) would buy them and the people who just want the items would buy them as well as pay more for them.

I still like "UPC Betsy's suggestion the most.
In addition to that. If Gaia feels that the RIGs are the best thing for them and they don't want to put every item up for individual sale in the Shop La Victoire. They could also try putting a certain Special item(s) created specifically for the RIG, and not up for individual sale. So at least the RIG would get to keep it's "uniqueness" and "enticement" for Gaiaonline and Gaians.
And it would give people a reason to stick with buying a RIG for a chance to get that Special item(s). And to EDIT. The RIG can keep the Failed Item(s) as well.
Mini example using marbles:
* = RIG only item.
RIG - Blue marble | Red marble | Green marble* | Purple marble | Orange marble*
SLV - Blue marble | Red marble | Purple marble
And as some others put - on previous pages. They could also give individual items from the RIG a certain timeline. So the RIG will still be the top seller.
I don't pay much attention to how long the RIG is in the Cash Shop. It seems to be about 2 weeks and a few days after?
So it would go something like:
Blue marble - 3 days
Red marble - 4 days
Purple marble - 3 days
Either way. It will still tick a few people off, but at least the people who spend Cash for GaiaCash. Would at least have window to get the items they can see.

The two following posts are probably the best ones made so far. Please take the time to read them
RoChan
A warning to those who are about to read. It is long, it has bad grammar, it is informative and yes it is selfish. Those who say I'm being selfish need to take a business class or two, because if the consumer wasn't selfish then there would be no Needs for the Business to meet and therefore no Business. Derp.*
Moving on...
If Gaia really wanted to test out what their total revenue would be on Straight-to-Cash vs RIGs they should do both at once and see what sells better. But good Lord make it something that we actually have a desire for and not some BS that we MIGHT want. Just deliver to the Market Needs and stop beating around the bush with it.
StC at an affordable price (ie 749 to 999 for Gtan, Lady Washi vs 199to 399 for Space fleet uniform, cat cosplay (maybe up to 599)) and RIGs at the 149 for single 999 for bundle and see which sells more. Make it a test on items we DO want pick a few petitions (like they did this time) and deliver items we've been asking for with both. People can take the chance/gamble that they could get a good item for far less, People can PLAY the game that devs create, or people can skip the middle man and get what they want directly.
Also what really cracks me up is that the Gaia truly believes we won't shell out more cash for better items. What kind of logic is that? People in real life take PAY DEDUCTIONS so that they can have better benefits! I mean from what I understand the developers themselves do this to work for Gaia. D: Why do they think their user base wouldn't do the same?
In addition, it really sucks for me, the consumer, to not know how much Gaia makes from what and where. What their expenses are, their total loss, etc etc. I mean I'd like to know their fiscal and quarterly info. So many people are throwing around assumptions but there is no real data to pull the info from, no page on their website or external page on a stock site to really gage if RIGs are helping them or not. I want numbers to crunch, I want to be informed and I want to make the decision that best suits ME.
Basically Gaia is telling us to trust them on this and in the past before this particular RIG I did. However, their underhanded move to bring in items that users "begged" for and then putting them at a small percentage so that out of the thousands that begged for it only a handful would actually obtain the item caused me to loss my trust in Gaia. I don't trust what they say anymore. I don't trust that RIGs are more profitable for them. I don't trust that they are looking for the best interest of the user. And because I don't trust them I now need proof that they are doing better with the RIGs than without with an actual test that is comparable verses incomparable results.
In other words, even though I know this is a private company... the users investing in the site by giving it money in order for it to grow and prosper have in a way becoming a presudo share holder, so as a share holder, Gaia has lost it's value to me. They are not worth spending my money on because they are not loyal to me the consumer and therefore I won't be loyal to them.
Basic business fundamentals are being overlooked in this particular RIG than all others. They don't address the concerns and give incomparable results to things they don't allow us to see on the terms of faith and trust. However, they don't have our trust anymore (not mine at least and by the sounds of it others as well).
Sorry... rambling now. Basically I'd like them to test it first or produce numbers that people can crunch. If not, I'm not spending a single dime on Gaia regardless of it's a RIG or a StC (which I always buy at minimum 2 of every item in the cash shop so telling me that I don't buy from there and that I won't buy from there is stupid because I DO it.) I won't invest in them and I will tell others not to invest in this site either. Gold is free and I can post and chat all day long, as can other users, we'll put pressure on those that can get cash to the point where they can't service so many people without backing down and lowering their investment in Gaia.
Overall, Gaia has pretty much lost me and my trust in them. By doing so they've lost someone who was investing in the site and while they may not feel it now, they will eventually feel it. After all a ripple starts off small before becoming a tidal wave. If they want my trust/investment back, they need to earn it again now. Until then, I will not support RIGs or Gaia until I see some change.
*An addendum to the Selfish Me is good and I want what best interests me... The thing is... it's MY money and it's MY decision on where it goes so I do have a RIGHT as a consumer to say WHERE I want it to go. I don't have to give it to Gaia but I would like to give it to them if they gave me the option to. Currently they don't and I won't. Lord knows I have several manga series that I need to complete and pick up. Borders here I come!

Thanks Lolli. I'm not quite sure what is going on in their offices (largely in part because they don't really tell us much to begin with) so I can't say who is their marketing head and what trends they are looking into. But seriously they need to re-evaluate on the person in charge. I'm not a business major, I've just worked a lot in it and have taken several courses in connection to my job position (and future positions) in order to better service my company while obtaining and maintaining the loyally of our customers so I know a lot of basic and simple stuff. I mean seriously basic level stuff and I work in Customer Service. o__O This RIG has brought up stuff that Gaia is skimping straight over that has me thinking, "Really? Does that person REALLY know what they're doing? Because it's not rocket science, it may be an art to finely balance stuff, but this isn't hard to read trends." It also makes me wonder if they are not looking at other companies strategies and marketing moves.
To tack onto my post, I think there was a survey done a few years back about shoppers and what large retail stores they went to (in the pool was Target, Walmart, K-mart, etc). Most people picked Target and when asked why when they are more expensive than their competitors and the responses across the board where about the same. Cleaner stores, better Customer Service, Quality of items, etc. Even now you can do a simple survey on people and most will answer that they will pay more for the quality verses the savings. Why Gaia isn't targeting that I don't know. They'll get more revenue with more expensive items being sold than cheaper and people are willing to pay for it across the globe.
Again though, this is based on speculation as we don't have numbers to look at, tests to conduct, but comparing to other business regardless of it being Target or Burger King, people say and do the same thing, they are willing to pay for quality.
I also don't understand how Gaians don't get two major things:
1. That by controlling the quantity of items Gaia is controlling the market. I mean it's like a = b = c. It's no longer a fair market because Gaia doesn't give an unlimited supply where users value it and create the supply and demand by buying it or leaving it. Instead they create an automatic demand because there is a predetermined supply that is not ruled by a limited window of opportunity (in essence pressuring people to make quicker decisions on demand and supply) but by a raffle. That's not free market that's capitalism. We don't make the decision on how much is going to be in the marketplace, Gaia does, we set the price but we don't set how much we'll sell.
2. That Gaia shouldn't be paying attention to those who DON'T give them money. That's just the stupidest thing I've read so far. That should be their biggest concern, tapping into the area that's not giving. Why aren't those people giving money? What would make them do so? if out of 10 users only 8 are giving it's only 80% with a 20% loss and it takes 80% to run the site then they get no profit. That 20% adds up a lot and that could be profit they can make over costs.
Again it's not like trying to find the cure to cancer, this stuff is pretty simple.
RIGs are bringing in revenue but not 100% revenue. Users are unsatisfied and losing their trust in the company. There is a large group of untapped potentional. Give that sort of stats to any other company and they will call a meeting to see what they need to change in their buisness goals to address those issues.
A prime example of a similar situation in an entertainment standpoint compared to now is 3-D animations and Disney. 3-D animations were good and fresh and they did the company well. They brought in a lot of revenue and continue to do so, but lately with all the 3-D animated movies, people started to complain that it wasn't the same, they missed the 2-D animated movies, and thus lost trust and faith in the company (especially when they closed the Florida studio). I remember the talk was that 2-D movies just weren't as profitable as 3-D movies so they didn't bother to make them. However their tune has changed since Disney largely depends on their movies to sell their merchandise and their biggest most costly thing, theme parks. While, granted, not every story is good as the other people did lose interest in seeing 3-D movies and would be more loyal to the old 2-D movies than the current ones.
Reviewing these trends and their consumer's concerns, Disney did the one thing they could do.. they delivered. They are spitting out not one hand drawn movie but two. If you look at their stocks in comparison to now and the announcement you'll see that there is a large rise to support the movie. People wanted a 2-d movie because that's what they wanted from Disney and they kept their commitment to the customer (Guest as they are actually called). Why Gaia can't do the same is beyond me.
In any case... I support this thread in hopes that Gaia will rethink their selling. It's absurd that they would purposely ignore a portion of potential income. o___o

Okay, so I know this is an "anti-RIG" thread and all, but hear me out.
I greatly enjoy buying RIGs. They're fun to open, like blind boxes at cons (or a box of chocolates) - you never know what you're going to get. In fact, I do plan on buying a pack of the new ones because as I said, I think they are a bit entertaining.
However, I also agree with this thread. I believe that it is unfair, and uncalled for, to have what I like to call, "Instant Rares". Items that are awarded by the RIGs in such a small percentage that they're listed on the Marketplace for 1mill+ gold automatically. The Warmth of Apollo is a fine example of this. I want one. I want one so badly that I would rather pay 499 to 999 for one and since I like to have two of everything that's "cool" I'd end up spending 998 to 1998, but only if it was a guarantee that I would get one.
Since there's no guarantee with the RIGs as they are now, I usually buy a max of 5 bundles (4995 Gaia Cash)... which of course seems like a lot of money to Gaia, sure. But if the items on my wish list where in the CS? And assuming Gaia charged, we'll say, 499 for each one and 999 for the Mercury's Moon since it's an EI recolor...
I know I'd buy two of each as I mentioned before...
-So two M.Moon's? There's 1998 GC.
-Two W. of Apollo and two C. of Artemis at 499? That's 1996 GC.
-Two Wasabi? Let me hand over 998 GC for them... Altogether, that's 4992 GC. Only 3 GC less than I spend anyway and I'd happily have the items I want.
And that's only assuming Gaia doesn't include items like the Ancient Naginata or Gaia-tan or any other item on my wish list (which are all RIG-exclusive items) in the Cash Shop as well. If they where in there, I'd spend more than the 4995 I spend on the RIGs.
My long winded point (with mathematical example) is this: I would willingly and happily spend nearly the same amount of Gaia cash, if not more, if the items where in the Cash Shop. Because although entertaining, the novelty of the RIG wears off after the first few disappointments which of course effects how much I spend on them.
Not to mention the Warmth of Apollo and Chill of Artemis would have been beautiful MCs. I for one I would have bought enough letters from Gaia so I could have most of the armor sets (so, assuming I bought at least 5 of each set... 10*250=2500). But that's a separate matter altogether.

Lunar Dew Drop
Hey Loli you can add this to it.
Question why do people buy EI's?
Because they are amazing 90% of the time no?
And are Rig Items not close to EI's if not the same? Mercury Moon.
People would pay 999 cash for a M-Moon I would bet.
The problem is they don't use quality stuff.

Lunar Dew Drop

I no longer purchase RIGs.
Why? Because it's just not worth it. If I'm going to spend real money on Gaia, I'm going to want to make sure of what I buy. While they're now trying to sell the "experience" of opening them ... it's still not worth it when all I take away from that "experience" is a gold shop item worth less than the cash-price of the RIG. Or a pittance of actual gold, in form of a "Fail" token. Not much consolation, seriously. stare
If there's something I want, I want to be able to just get it. I do not want to end up with a pile of random other items that I have no desire to own, and thus must sell.
But most of all? I do not want to spend real money with no promise that I will get the specific item or items I'm wanting.
So ... since I am not a lucky person, the best way to use my gold would be to buy cash shop items and resell them for the funds to get what I want.
$10 to get 9 GBoi's... if I sold them right now for 40k each, I'd end up with 360k.
If I wanted, say, Gaia Tan (which I don't) I would have to purchase and then resell 53 Gee Boi's to reach the current lowest marketplace price (2.1 million). That's ... 5, practically 6 bundles. $60 for one item? That's groceries for a week. That's gas for a month. That's utility bills.

I don't want users jumping down onto my throat if I posted this.
But I noticed that EIs recolors such as Tomo's Basket, or Mercury's Moon.
I would rather Gaia put them as Cash items, not into RIGs.
If Gaia put even more expensive cost for Mercury's Moon like 1499, or Tomo's Basket for 749, then sure I don't really care. I JUST don't want to see recolored EIs in the RIGs.....
Also, take out Gaia-tan and Fleece hats from the RIGs, those items would be huge hits if they were made into MCs, if you ask me.
Anyway, thanks for taking time to read my PM, and if you want to, you have my permission to post this PM on your first post in topic.

LIST OF REQUESTED ITEMS THAT HAVE BEEN PUT IN TO THE GEE BOI RIG:
UPC Betsy
Okay, after sifting through the first 35 pages of the Petitions subforum, I have a list of petitioned items.
UPC Betsy
Bleach item: Bone Demon Mask
Original petition: Started October 2006, then transferred over to...
Second Petition: Last update on the list of signers was 3/25/08 with 1240 signatures. The number most likely has grown since that date.
Cat items: Black/Pink/Rainbow/White Neko Cosplay
Petition: Started October 2006; as of 6/3/09 there were 1495 signatures listed, but that number could be larger because I don't know when the list was last updated
NPC dolls: The Kuro, Cordell, and Bruce+Ricky dolls, 4 dolls of various devs and admins (DARKNRGY, Sukinahito, Juno, and omgwhat, who looks suspiciously like Naruto), and the Blind Box(a RIG within the RIG that only grants one of the Gaia Character dolls)
Petition: Started January 2006; as of 6/3/09 there were 1162 signatures, but the number could be larger because I don't know when the list was last updated
Keytar Item: The Keytarblade (may also be for Kingdom Hearts (as a Keyblade) as well)
Petition: Started August 2006; as of 6/3/09 there are 2138 signatures, but the number may be larger because I don't know when the list was last updated.
-here I stopped after 35 pages in the Petitions subforum; threads there hadn't been posted in since late April 2009-
Wink Item: Gaia-tan
SF Thread: Started March 2009
Other wanted items that don't have petitions I could find
-Black Album (Death Note as well as an apple for Twilight fans)
-Melonpan of Haruharu (Haruhi Suzumiya)
-Gund*mu Cardboard (I'm fairly certain this would would be for the Gundam franchise, right?)
-Orinkage (Surprisingly I couldn't find a Naruto items petition (I probably missed it) but this would satisfy them. Also, duh, Naruto.)
-Lovely Lady Soldier Wasabi (Sailor Moon. Duh)
-Onyx Bolster sword (generic big anime sword a la Bleach, Inuyasha, Naruto, etc.)
-Red/Blue/Gold Spacefleet uniforms, Voltan Ears, Klaxon Alien Wig, Spacefleet Tech, and the two Spacefleet Wigs (Star Trek. Duh.)
Items that look like that might be from a series/movie I'm not familiar with
-Babe the Welsh Corgi (before the GBT was actually released, someone mentioned that this dog is supposed to be from some tv show/anime/movie, I just can't remember which)
-Roto's Hat (The headgear of two famous horse racers...Seabiscuit maybe? )
-Any of the various guns/flamethrowers/etc. I don't know if they're original items or cosplay items.
Other notable items
-The Leek (possibly a reference to the spinning leek meme or, based in its description, the ability for Gaians to find item leaks.)
-20-sided die and game rulebook (A D&D reference I’m assuming. I don’t know how wanted D&D items are, but I thought I’d throw it in)

I don’t know how wanted D&D items are, but I thought I’d throw it in)
panoptes
I found this for the Orinakge: http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/petitions/akatsuki-cloaks/t.24460829/
For the Odango hairstyle: http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/petitions/more-hairstyles-we-say-d-4000-sigs-read-the-rules-plz/t.24602117/
For large swords: http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/petitions/big-swords-closed/t.13441642/
A small trekkie petition: http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/petitions/warp-factor-10-general-sci-fi-items-petition/t.38135001_1/
The Corgi, btw, is supposedly from Cowboy Bebop.
The Leek comes from a clip from the anime Bleach set to Loituma's Levan Polka. It's a meme.

There are some post I want to reply to, but I think everyone else handled it.
But particularly the one that keeps going about how Releasing an item too much will drop it's value.
Sometimes an over saturation of one item, doesn't drop it's gold value. Since a lot of factors go into why an item drops in Gold value.
It's probably best to talk to a long time Exchanger about this. Since they would know the ins and outs of item selling and gold gaining.

Depending on what you are searching for; a lot of these Request are in the The Official Item Suggestion Digest (2006) and they were actually within the Site Feedback and not Petitioned.
The Leek isn't exclusive to the Orihime Meme. Someone requested a Leek because they liked Hatsune Miku. Basically it was an unofficial item. People also wanted a Leek because they liked the Pokemon Farfetch'd.
When it comes to "Anime Items". Since there is so much, you would assume people would want the basics of what is always seen: hair, wands, outfits etc. Same goes for other Animations and entertainment genres.
-Vocaloid based items?
-:O The handheld items are sooo good >.< more then 1 please?
-Sailor Moon Items For Gaians (2006)
-More hairstyles, we say! (2007) keyword "Odango"
-Warp factor 10! General Sci-fi items petition!
-Petition for Star Trek Inspired Outfits
-The Gain Space Federation. mentions Star Trek... small thread
-Weapons, Armor, etc. made from Trash Not sure if it counts
-Deathnote Shinigami ITEM Never followed up.
Using Google (insert word / subject) site: (insert URL here, remove forum number)
I recommend it over trying a page by page search xd
Google Naruto
Google Keyblade
Google Anime Items
Google SciFi

CAN WE PLEASE HAVE SOME RIG WORTHY ITEMS TO REPLACE THESE??? Please also ROTATE the normal cash shop items on a daily basis. At least give us the change to PROVE that we will spend money on things. The reason people aren't is because they have been there FOR AT LEAST A YEAR!
6/23/09
Wow, guys. Talk about failure at listening to your users. neutral Midsummer (even though its not midsummer) Swirl has been added to the cash shop and its exactly the kind of RIG that the users ASKED you not to release any more.
On the upside, this is our chance to show them we aren't going to spend money on these items. n_n
