I'm surprised I'm the only one so far to say this. I don't like how Gaia is discriminating towards the kind of adult content they allow. Cutten limbs and blood and gore are fine and innocent but show a n****e and the youth gets corrupted or something. And not even that , we've had bans for cleavage pics or avis showing too much using just gaia items without any glitches.

Just like how some people don't like seeing sex up in their face when they log in here there are people that don't like seeing such (defenetly not PG-13) gore and violence.

I'm not opposed to the item itself... some of the poses so far are a little much for me, but others are useful... but I also don't understand why gratuitous gore is considered a-ok while any nudity at all (even nudity of our avatars, which have neither nipples nor genitals) is considered horribly wrong. I would personally rather see nudity than violence, as I don't think the human body should be something we are ashamed of.

I don't know.. I have mixed feelings about it. I don't really expect anything to change on Gaia, at least.

There's blood, yeah. But it's not really gory for me.

The PG-13 is only set there because of the law. It just keeps anyone out of thirteen out of here.

Anyway, Antipathy isn't really considered adult content for me. All it is a limb cut off and some blood. They actually did this with a few items if I remember correctly. It's just not as detailed to be considered gore.
:/ Nudity is banned for obvious reasons, and so is really, really gory pictures. Antipathy is okay, because while it does show limbs cut off and blood, it doesn't really cross that line IMO

Plus, if there's ban for avatar glitches, I would figure because they violated the ToS, which doesn't allow avatar glitching. Cleavage pictures because it might cross the line of nudity/the person might be a minor?

If some don't like seeing the item, that's their personal thing. They can take steps to just avoid and ignore the item. A few people that don't like blood and such shouldn't ruin it for those that do.

That being said, blood was requested for awhile at some point, IIRC.

It looks like Gaia raised the bar when they took on Walking Dead as a sponsor. The items there are deliciously bloody. I don't see the Antipathy deviating far too much from that standard set by those CI items.

Gaia is an American based company as I said before America is kind of screwy when it comes to sex and violence as proven many times before. Most people are okay with allowing kids to see violence at a young age but even a little nudity OH HELL NO! emotion_facepalm So yeah it may not make much sense but that's how it is. Sadly don't see things changing anytime soon.

PG-13 refers to blood and gore too you know.

It doesn't get any more gorier than cutten limbs with blood running.

Cleavaged minors are not illigal. Half the schools should have been shut down if that was the case. Also , I specified about avis using items without glitches.

To expand on what [the wayward knight] said about PG-13, it's not even an actual guideline for Gaia, it's just a basis for their content. Firstly, it's an MPAA guideline for movies, not websites. Secondly, since PG-13 allows people under 13 to view the material with adult supervision, it definitely doesn't define Gaia. If anything can describe Gaia, it would be NC-12, if such a rating existed. As for the content itself, "knight" and others pretty much covered that.

Our country is weird, that I won't deny. Sex characteristics like boobies and pee-pees are evil and the only way to save the children from corruption is to arm them with a gun.

Wow first time this went over well last time I said as much the SF wanted to roast me. But yeah pretty much like you said. I remember when my cousin and I were laughing about the Togas Gaia made for that summer event how there was a glitch were our pixel boobies shown. Gaia literally fixed it within minutes when my cousin posted about it. Yet it all all the other avatar glitches.... stare

Really? The only thing I remember suggested was more cleavage items.
Anyway, even by wiki definition it doesn't change my view that the item is gory. That's just bottom if the barrel, really simplistic limbs cut off and blood. Nudity is banned because of ToS. It doesn't strictly follow PG-13 rating. it's only there because of a California law. So it can be a little loose.

What items makes the avatar nude? It's one thing to have shirts that show cleavage while being appropriate, but it's another to just have an entire picture of just boobs. All though that's just how I see it, I never heard of someone getting banned over it.

Anyway, yeah. People ignore items they don't like anyway.

Also, I have a hell of a strong tolerance for violence. I don't even know where the line is crossed.

So you see the violence thing is preaty subjective. It's the same as with the sexual themes so I don't see how personal likes matter here. As I said in my oppening post:
"Just like how some people don't like seeing sex up in their face when they log in here there are people that don't like seeing such (defenetly not PG-13) gore and violence"

EDIT: Certain item combinations that depict sexual behaviour (no nudity or something like that) like the Alruna poses allow have been banned time and time again.

Yeah, it's subjective but since it is, it's not discrimination. What's gory for you isn't for me. For me, it isn't even discrimination. Just because someone doesn't like seeing an item, they can take steps to avoid seeing it. It's not even in their faces, too. If they don't want to see it, there is ways to avoid and ignore.

And again, as Hyrulean and I both said, Gaia is not strictly PG-13.
