Ace meow is like what 20k at most? Also we have a lot of animal items that are cheap. Animals bring in money for rigs they wont put that in the shops.

While I do agree that we should have more affordable pet cat items, that doesn't mean every existing item should suddenly be made cheap. Especially considering a lot of those were cash items, it's very unlikely Gaia would start selling them for gold.

Pretty much this. There are tons and TONS of cheap pet items. There's no reason to give every user a North Kitten Star or Bom Bom Bunny.

Babe the Welsh Corgi is available for less than 20k.
Poko the Jenday Conure is available for about the same price.
Bani the Bunny is obtainable for 70k.
Kokutan the Demon Cat is available for less than Bani.
Matao the Demon Cat is a cheaper counterpart at 45k.

I can post more if you want. Point is, not every item should be easily obtainable. It's not like every single pet item on this site is uber rare, you have plenty of options.

Gaia wouldn't sell those items in a gold shop simply because they are cash items and I don't think the people who use cash would appreciate cash items being devaluated like that.

I can see gaia making a gold shop pet store for other, non RIG pets though.

I have a North Star kitten, thanks to my wonderful boyfriend. The only star kitten I want is Jet. I fear I'll never get to have him. Since he's an alchemy component, AND a rare pet from a rig, I doubt he'll be in a higher supply.

And do remember, They could have one kitten star per person, and I bet they'd still be going for 1million, at least, a piece. Especially since they're alchemy components, and people have a high demand for them.

gaia does not set the prices in the market the users of gaia do, so the staff of gaia cant lower the market price of items

Of course I think cats and other animals should be cheaper, but who doesn't?
I think it is fine the way it is, it gives people something to work with while questing. Nothings easy in the real world, so why would it be in Gaia?

Now, gold shop pets isn't a bad idea. But what would they have??
