I can understand (I suppose) having to enter capchas to send a Valentine message to someone, but is it really necessary to use that security(?) feature as a place to advertise vehicles and what have you?

Ads IN the event feature really scream, "Commercial puppet!" It is off-putting and takes away from the happy, feel-good nature of a Valentine event. Kind of tacky.
It seems like they're just using the same captchas they're using on comments and forums, because I'm getting non-ad captchas on the valentine page, as well as the ad ones.
Honestly, they're the only ad i don't adblock. They're useful, non intrusive, and fun. And one actually made me go to a page to check something out.
I don't mind them, Other captchas are hard to read, gaia gets profits, and it means other areas of the site wont have them, plus I like thee fios one, easy captcha if I ever saw one.

And easy to read and type out. I like when the captcha doesn't request me write two words in Hebrew or Russian.
I wish there was an option to use the reCaptcha system, though. The ad captchas are a little frustrating, but they're great when I'm having a hard time reading and parsing English words (and Gaia gets money, which is always a plus!), but reCaptcha's for a good cause. Dilemma.

I find the add supported capchas MUCH easier to read than the blurry ones.

After having to enter that old blurry captcha at the Hotmail website for about 20 times, this captcha is like a blessing. I don't care what product it is, readable is a plus!

Also Valentines is maybe the most commercial holiday out there.
I'd rather have NO capatchas at all.

I'd rather have NO capatchas at all.

Then the site would be all botty and such.

I prefer the ad ones. They are much easier to read.

I am aware why we have them.
It still doesn't mean I want them lol.

Hey, at least the ad captchas never give you weird characters that aren't even on your keyboard.

They're no more tacky to me than any other ad or any captcha. Unless you find yourself easily influenced by ads that are all up in your face, there's not much to worry about. I don't see myself running to buy a car or anything. And these are easier to read than normal captchas.

Well, that's life. Sometimes you have to put up with one thing, or deal with something much worse.
