Leave wigs out of rigs and put them in the NPC stores!

Why do you like torturing me, Gaia? Why must you laugh as I writhe and grind my teeth at your gimmicks of putting the majority of wigs into your cash sucking cows called RIGs- a.k.a., CI's? I'm sure it doesn't come as a surprise to know that the Cash shop is where the majority of wigs flow from. Wigs in the Cash shop pour our of the bundles, the MC's, the RIG's, and there's just no end to them!
There's 8 wigs in the Wrath of Gaia, alone. 6 wigs in the Final Reign; 6 in the Cirque du Gothique. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. There's over a whopping amount of 380 unique and removable hair styles from there, not counting all the wigs that came after the release of the Wrath of Gaia, in rigs, bundles, and MC's.
Since then, we've gotten over 1000 cash shop wigs!
But there's more! Get this, Gaia- there's only a measly 85 wigs that I've counted, in the NPC Shops.

I'm appreciative of the salon updates in Salon Durem, but if there could be a large hair update that's specifically for wigs- not actual hairstyles, but wigs that are removable at will- i would be a very happy Gaian.

The Salon as a gold sink is likely ineffective with all but the the newer users. Most people find one hairstyle they like and stick with it, using wigs to cover it up when it doesn't suit their current outfit. We want more wigs. The GS wigs more often than not are poorly done, leaving a huge forehead or other off proportions. The color options from cash wigs are severely limited. I know I have loved a style many, many times, but I know I would never make an avatar with the color.
Both these problems can be solved by adding recolors of wig poses to the GS. Don't put in a color similar to the one found in the item itself. I don't suggest you make them affordable, but they should also not be DC expensive. 100k for long or excessively styled wigs, 75k for moderate ones, 50k for short styles. You've shown us with Edmund's shop that you're not afraid to put expensive items into the regular GS, so do it with items that people are craving and you have yourself a very effective gold sink.
Now, where to put them?
Salon Durem is the obvious choice. Real salons often offer services to add extensions and hairpieces to people, in addition to the everyday cut and color. However, much like real salons, you probably shouldn't have the same person doing both things. I'm sure Vanessa has enough on her plate, styling all the newbies' hair so they look presentable during their first trip to the forums. You could, of course, create a new NPC, but I think we have too many without enough back story already, don't you?
I suggest Ruby's Rack is dissolved and Ruby moves in with Vanessa. They're both women of some dignity, Ruby having a child and Vanessa being the casual partner of Edmund. I imagine they would both be gossips worthy of a salon. Much like Skin Tyte has two different functions, so would Salon Durem, with a whole new shop opening when you clicked on "Talk to Ruby."
The biggest issue I can see with this is the strain placed on other shops with the addition of Ruby's items. Ruby only has eight pages of items, while the rest of the main stores have in the low twenties and upper teens. With so many pages to scroll through already, why add even more? Well, many shops would gain some space with the removal of any wig item. Perhaps not eight pages worth, but it would be apparent. In addition, the items in Ruby's Rack, while labeled "quintessentially Gaian" could actually be sold in any other store. Many would be a great fit for Edmund, others with Moria, and any leftovers can easily be handled by Sasha. Distributing the items between four or five of the main shops would make the item increase hardly noticeable.
Overall, I wholeheartedly agree that while the vast number of wigs that have become available to us is wonderful, it would be much, much better if they were accessible in multiple colors through the gold shops. Recolors are one of the easiest things to do, especially with hair where the whole thing is in one color. The coding is all done for you already - just a few tweaks required to make it a single pose. I bet you that a person is highly unlikely to spend the same amount of gold in the Salon within the same year, especially when we're just talking one style. If a person gets tired of the wig, he/she can resell for half price, or use the MP (which also uses 2% fee).
