The Welcome to Services is spot on. My readings are for entertainment only and I fully stand by my readings not being used for serious decisions, life changing decisions, or decisions related to divorce, mental health, or anything else that is serious. These things should be something you and your loved ones should see a professional for - not someone with a deck of cards. Please see the professionals with years dedicated to their education in the study of their field (psychologists, doctors, nurses, etc). I know in Canada there are plenty of toll-free help lines and I'm sure there are similar services in other countries. If you don't feel comfortable seeing such a professional please search within yourself as to why. Journal, meditate, paint, relax, and explore. The sooner you can overcome whatever is holding you back from services that are there to help you the sooner you can get back to where you want and deserve to be.

Feel free to ask even if my slots are full - I have no problem saying no if I can't. You wont be pressuring me into anything.

I only have three slots open per week. Occasionally I'll have less slots, or more, depending on what is going on in my life. The reasoning behind this is that I do tire easily when doing readings for others. Comparing this to the few readings I've done in person for others it may be the lack of personal connection that exists when I do distance readings. I do fear that the advice I pass on from the cards can or will negatively affect a persons life. That is something I take personal responsibility for - I don't just shrug my shoulders saying I warned the people I've done readings for or that it was the cards and not I that impacted the person's life. Every reading I give is my responsibility. I don't take that lightly. That may factor in as well. This prompts me to reiterate the following:

Tarot (at least in the readings I do) is meant for advice, or perhaps a glimps at what could be. The readings are more for entertainment than anything else. Nothing about it is set in stone. You are in control of your life. If you don't like what the cards say then don't pay any mind to them. They are not all seeing. They are not perfect. They are not taking any power from you. The power to control your life is yours, not the cards. Take all advice they, and I, give with a grain (or bucket) of salt. In fact I may turn down your reading after accepting it if my cards decide to be douchnozzles turds (which they do sometimes). I feel my cards have a very... Fred and George type personality. (You know, from Harry Potter.) Sometimes they wont give straight advice, or advice at all. This hasn't happened yet when I've been doing reading for others, or even very often to myself, so please don't worry about that. It's unlikely to happen.

About Milk and Her Cards or how raspberries grow

••••Hello, obviously I'm the tarot reader for Milk Dipped Tarot Cards*. Feel free to call me Milk or Raspberry. I am biologically female and am in my late teens. I'm looking to apply to a child or youth focused university program in the 2013/14 school year. Other than reading tarot I like to read (fantasy fiction, bodice rippers, and non-fiction focused on learning (how-to and textbook-type books) are my common focus), knit, and people watch. (it's not as creepy as it sounds, I swear) I'm a glutton and love to try new food. I also enjoy adventures into nature from urban hiking to parks ('cause I live sort-of far from "real" nature) to sitting outside while I study (I usually watch ant hills more than I read my text.) I don't mind answering personal questions if you have any, but don't be offended if I tell you to bugger off. Some questions are just too personal for me to answer otherwise. That shouldn't stop you from asking once, but it should stop you from pestering me. A bit of a warning: my sense of humor may not be for everyone. This may be the only time I'll say I'm sorry for that - if it offends you. Otherwise: you're welcome.

••••I've been reading tarot off and on for over a year now. I only have one deck - the gendron tarot. I see them as having a Fred and George (HP) sort of personality. A bit trickster and playful but serious when need be (or when they feel there is a need). This doesn't so much connect to the imagery. It's just the general feel I get when shuffling my deck and from some readings I've done. I don't just see my deck as having a Fred and George sort of personality because of how I view their personality - it's also because I feel my deck is "male." (I could have chosen to describe my deck's "personality" with a female trickster-type character.) I've found it tricky once I started feeling that way about my deck because it's a goddess/female focused deck. Yay for the contradictions.

••••Because I feel the beliefs held by the reader can and does affect querent's decision to request a reading I'm going to include this bit about my beliefs - focusing on my beliefs around tarot. If you have questions I'd be happy to answer them. I'll be as transparent in this area as much as I possibly can (sometimes I may not be able to word something in a way some people will understand - sorry for my short falls in that area if it does come up). First and foremost I'm an atheist and non-believer in the supernatural. No ghosts. No spirits. No deity. No magic as most people seem to understand it. I state this first because a belief in deity or the supernatural seem to connect to tarot for most people. (In my observations.) To me the cards are not affected by any source other than me. They are simply cards and the readings a product of chance. This is a big reason for why I stress that my readings are for entertainment, not life changing decisions. Sometimes in my reading I'll separate advice I interpret from the cards and the advice that I give. This is often because the cards are purposely vague. Even my intuition from them can be very vague. The vague-ness allows the cards to be interpreted in a variety of ways and to produce and effect called confirmation bias. I also sometimes don't agree with what the cards say. I've said it before and I'll say it again here: I take responsibility for the readings I give. Giving advice is part of the way I do this. I wont just allow the cards to tell you the best course of action is to "wait and see" if I feel it isn't. So you may get readings with two conflicting pieces of advice in them. I wont just ignore the cards or doctor the reading to give you what I view is the right thing to do. This is an advice shop that focuses on cards giving the answer - but I wont leave it purely up to them every time. What you do is up to you. Don't let me or the cards tell you otherwise. In fact I usually tack on a bucket-of-salt disclaimer at the end of every reading (unless you're a regular, in which case I may make a corny salt joke). Second - I'm a Satanist. But I just said I'm an atheist, didn't I? Satanism (LaVeyan) is atheistic or "itheistic" - no supernatural deity or higher power. It's self worship. I view myself as my own deity. I'm the one in control of my life. This is a part of me that shows why I read tarot even though I see the cards as being pure chance. I have anxiety. I have issues making decisions sometimes. I like to meditate. I like to write fiction. Tarot helps with all of these for me and I hope it can help others in similar areas. I do like helping others. I do like giving back in whatever way I can and am comfortable doing. Third - I'm open minded and happy to admit when I don't understand something. If you want to talk about beliefs around a/theism, tarot, the supernatural, life philosophies, or whatever - I'd most likely be happy to. I like evidence (not just personal-experience -type evidence) so that is what is likely to change my mind and my beliefs. I do enjoy challenging them often. I will not, however, put up with douche-y (and pointless) attacks. I have a block button. I haven't used it on this account (or previous accounts if I remember correctly) but I know how it works and will happily use it. Being a bit rude or blunt doesn't =/= douche-y to me. I'm usually pretty blunt myself. Some sort of trolling or ALL CAPS MESSAGES ABOUT HOW I'M GOING TO HELL OR EQUALLY NON-APPLICABLE BULL is something I'd consider douche-y. Or at least block-worthy.

If any of my beliefs offend you - feel free to tell me (preferably over pm so I don't lose the conversation and it doesn't clog up my shop). I'll probably just tell you to bugger off but we may be able to have a good conversation.
Also feel free to go to another shop. Perhaps one that aligns better with your beliefs if they don't align with mine. I really don't mind. I will even suggest a shop if you'd like. There are plenty of them on gaia.

How To Get a Reading
First of all - thank you for reading this far. If you haven't read the bolded bits in the posts before this one I suggest you go back and do so.

1.00 Decide on your question and/or the spread you'd like me to do for you.
Please visit my spread thread to see what sort of questions I will address and which ones I will not, as well as some possible spreads.

2.00 Read and understand the form below.
I have a form for a reason - please use it.

3.00 Fill out and post or pm me your form.
I have no problem with doing a reading completely anonymously (you can be listed as a number in my previous customers post below).

3.50 Send trade if you indicated you are paying anything for your reading.
If you're only paying for a reading you like this can be moved to 4.50 (after I send the reading). Please state as such on your form if this is the case.

3.75 Discuss anything regarding your reading with me.
This usually has to do with working out which spread you want if you don't know but still want one, wording questions in a tarot-friendly way, and other such things. By default I'll PM you these questions.

4.00 Wait patiently for me to send you your reading.
I PM readings by default. If you wish me to post your reading somewhere please say so.

4.75 Send me feedback and/or a review on how you felt the reading went.
This is optional but greatly loved. I enjoy improving and don't want you paying for a reading you didn't find enjoyable or helpful.

Form

Name: I ask for a name because I like to focus on who the question is for. A nickname works as well if you feel a personal sort of connection to it. Pictures are also good.

Reading: This is where you state your question and/or the spread you want. If you don't know how to word your question or which spread you want (but you have an idea of what you want to know) feel free to state as such here and give me a gist of what you're looking for. I can and will hunt for a spread or help you word your question.

Other: This is where you'd put any information that will help the reading. This isn't necessarily a history around why you're asking the question you're asking - 'cause that doesn't matter if you've worded your question in a tarot-friendly way. If you want a personality and soul card reading then this is where you'd put your birth-date or if you're only going to send a trade if you're happy with your reading - state so here.

Bribe or tip: This is completely optional (and loved) unless the shop is set to bribe only. There is a possibility that I'll accept conditional bribes (if it's accurate, if you like it, etc) when set to bribe only but often I wont and I'll require you send your trade before I send your reading (it wont be completed until the reading is sent - this is just to secure that you have the gold to bribe me with (or the item) and that you're not going to spend it in the meantime).
