This service is to provide a ROUGH TRANSLATION of anything you want translated from Japanese to English or English to Japanese. I've been taking Japanese for four years, and would really like to get some practice. I am not a native speaker obviously, which is why I am saying it is a rough translation. If it's fairly simple I should be able to get a fairly accurate translation, but for the more complicated things I will run into a few small speed bumps that may hinder the translation. I'm doing this so I can help improve my skills, but if something is way out of my league I may decline the order. If you're still interested, feel free to read on. ^_^

Qualifications Update: 2/25/2012
I passed the N5 level Japanese test with a scaled score of 167/180 and a reading/grammar/vocab scaled score of 118/120.
I took this test last December and just got the results today. So my proficiency should be a bit higher now.

I took the level three US National Japanese Test and passed in the 97th percentile for the country as well as ranking in the 99th percentile and ranked 2nd in my state of California. This test was taken back in march and is a fairly good judge of my skill.

5. If you wish for me to translate something such as Yaoi Doushijin, I am more than happy to do so for you, but please do not post them in image form in the thread if they are inappropriate and against the Gaia ToS. I'm still willing to translate them, but we still need to obey the rules of gaia. Read more in the FAQ if this is applicable to you.
6. If your translation is an image with kanji on it, please make sure it is a high enough resolution so that I can read the kanji. I feel really bad having to refuse translations because I can't read the kanji clearly enough, but there's simply no way I can do it if I can't read the character.

The prices of any translation is all by donation. Whatever you feel like paying, or not paying. I'm mostly doing this for my own benefit after all.

That includes under what you wish to pay in. If you wish to pay for my translations, you can do so in gold, items, art, banners, thread layouts, or anything else you can think of really! Since it's donation payment, it's open up to whatever you feel like.

I guess a little about me and my quests on gaia...

I'm a senior in high school and am currently in my fourth year of Japanese. I'm kind of a little bit obsessed with learning Japanese, and have been called by friends the walking Japanese dictionary for my good memory. I really like learning so much that I often ask my teacher for more homework and in certain desperate cases will make my own homework so I can have something to study. That's a bit of why I also started this. And yes, I realize I am a huge nerd. On other notes, I enjoy anime and some live action dramas as well as being a female gamer and a new but enthusiastic brony. I've also played cello for six years now. If you want to drop in and chat with me, feel more than free! A lot of the time I have nothing to do.

And now, so I can keep somewhat organized, here's my wishlist/quest things so if you want to get me something I like for a translation in lieu of gold or just want to be a random awesome person you know what I like. ^_^

FAQ

Q: Will you translate yaoi doujinshi?
A: As long as it is feasible for me to do it at my current level, I'm willing to translate just about anything. I understand that the Japanese culture is known for things perhaps less tasteful than those in western society would approve of, but I don't really mind it too much. HOWEVER, Please do not post any inappropriate pages on the thread itself, since it is against the Gaia ToS. Again, it doesn't offend me, but I don't want some little kid to wander in and be offended or traumatized by it or something of the sort.

A really good size one I translated was 1358x2004 px. I can take lower and have translated them well, but this was one I had no problems with seeing the little changes in the kanji. So if it's at least this size and clear, you're pretty much guaranteed to be fine. Any lower can get questionable.

WARNING: The following contains Yaoi and should not be viewed by those under 18 preferably, but if you're 16 or older you should be find. But still be foreworned that one page has some hentai references. In all honesty, just don't look at the page 7 and you should be fine. It doesn't have any writing on it anyways.
