Rules
1. No Godmodding - This means asking a person permission to take their soul even if they lose a duel. Make sure you are not forcing anyone to do anything especially if they lost in a fair duel.
2. No Sexual or pornographic description - Do not do this at all. We do not need to know.
3. Respect your fellow Rpers. No trash talking. We don't want those kind of people here. This applies to when you are dueling. Please don't not yell at another rper because they mess up. Be patient with them and politely instruct their mistake.
4. This is a semi-lit RP. So a paragraph please and also write in the third person and not in first person. Plus Make sure to add your DN username to your post.
5. We will follow the official Yugioh Trading Card Game rules as well as the Ban List. If you have Dueling Network account, they tell what cards are limited and forbidden.
6. The duels in this rp will be done by duelingnetwork.com. You can duel in the rp but there has to be pre-determined winner and so the two of you will have to decide who will win and lose
7. Any rulings should be consulted by me and the moderators.
8. Make your character skeleton and send me a pm of your character skeleton. After I approve, post it in the profile thread.
9. For decks, do not use 1 turn kill decks. Also make the decks fun as well. No need to be competitive all the time. Plus everyone loses. Even if you are a pro duelist, everyone will lose and sometimes it will be on purpose to further the plot of the rp.

Elite Ten
These are the top 10 duelist in the Academy. They recognize by every other students as being the best of the best. Sometimes they organize events in the school and have more privileges than a regular student. To become an Elite Ten you must win in an official match by the school against one of them to claim their spot.
School Years
The rest of the student body are divided among how many years they have attended Duel Academy. They are 1st years, 2nd years, 3rd years, and 4th years. They are no distinction between their dueling skills and studies.
Major
Duel Academy is known for their excellent curriculum in duel monster and therefore have a lot of majors for their students.
Teaching - Students may attend to school so that they can teach somewhere else in the school themselves. They can choose to specialize in any concepts in Duel Monster
Cardmaker - There are many students who are talented drawers and who would like to design cards. They come to Duel Academy to learn more about the artwork that is put into making a card and eventually works for a couple of lead companies in making cards.
Deck Analyst - There are students who study decks and try to create a perfect formula in which all cards have synergy with another. They are sought out by many managers of pro-duelist and will advise a pro-duelist on what cards work best with what.
Duel Savor - These are students who enlist themselves into law enforcement and catch those that abuse duel monster and handle and deal with individuals who are given special powers by the duel monster game but use them for the wrong purpose.
Pro-Duelist- These are students who want to become a big time duelist. They participate in many legal tournaments and spend time entertaining their audience in their duels. They may duel in many different types of duel such as Turbo Dueling or normal dueling.
Researcher - These are students who want to research the mysterious behind duel monster. There is a lot of mystery in this card game and so students will have the chance to participate in research facility that Duel Academy provide and allow the students to discover new mysterious behind Duel Monster.

Setting
Duel Monster have become very popular for the past centuries. The game has continue to evolve over time ever since it's discover in the sands of Egypt. There is still much mystery that surrounds the card game and so a city was built to better study and research Duel Monster to determine it's origin. The city develop from the original Duel Academy. The island has become a full blown city ever since its construction during the time of Jaden Yugi. Students still come to the city to learn more about duel monster and to attain their goal. Wither it is to go pro, or become a researcher, card designer. Duel Academy City has so much potential and it is a safe haven for all Duelist.
Story
There is a legend about two duel duelist who fight for the fate of the world. After their duel was over, the energy from the Duel Realm flow into the Real World and cause a major change in the dueling realm. People will sometimes get hurt from duels because the effects and shockwave are more real and it is becoming dangerous. Dueling has never been the same and it has completely revolutionize.
Recently there has been cape duelist who goes around and fight other duelist to steal there rarest card. They are known as the Rare Hunters. Who will stop them? The story is yours to make.

City Tour Arc
Welcome to the city!! We hope you enjoy our wonderful Duel Academy City. Students make sure to head to the campus to sign in. For your method of transportation we have provided each student with a D-bike which are basically motorcycles which can also be used for dueling on the highway if one prefers. We also provided you with D-pads. These are your tablets that you can use to surf the web, communicate, set up duels, check your email, etc. These D-pads can also sub as your duel disk as well. Just placed it on your arm and it will strap itself onto your arm and a duel disk made of energy will fire out from the D-pad. Of course if you have your own custom duel disk you may use it as well. Anyways I hope you enjoy the city!!

But later she was recruited into the Duel Task Force, an organization that prevent others from misusing Duel Monster cards and investigate any phenomen associated with them. When her husband was attacked one night, she left her home and Black and went searching for the Rare Hunter and became obsessed with them. She heard that the Rare Hunters had huge plans for Duel Academy City so she went back there and took a position as teacher to bring the Rare Hunters to justice.

Notes & Terms
Here is a list of terms or notes that are mentioned in the RP and what they do
D-Pad - a standard issue given by Duel Academy. The D-pad is a tablet that can be used to check your email, homework, surf online, listen to music, download apps, etc. They can also function as a duel disk.
Rare Hunters - an organization of duelist whose purpose is to hunt cards from other duelist. Their objective of what they are to do with these cards are not clear. All we know is that they are specifically looking for duelist who has a duel monster spirit and ultimately to locate the Original Cards.
Original Cards - the first ever printed card. These cards may have powers. They are many out there but they are hard to find.
Dark Mark - a mark that is given to the Rare Hunters. This mark allows a Rare Hunter to control the power of darkness, make duel real, and allows them to see duel monster spirit and capture them under the conditions of a duel.
Captured Duel Monster - the method of capturing a duel monster spirit is to use the Dark Mark and then stored the capture spirit into the Dark Mark.
Sense - another name for it is Feel. It is a power that a duelist develops over time that allows a duelist to incorporate their feelings into their duels and allow the damage that they inflict on their opponent to be real. Sense cannot be used to materialize monster outside of duels and can only be used within a duel.
