xxxxx Navigating through the trees was the easy part, seeing in the overcast air was just as simple. However, the idea of being under Spirit World command was just insanely painful. It made her wings ache, as though someone had broken them then tossed her up into the air, making her strain to use them. Her mind was clouded with thoughts, though it was only the right side, making one eye hard to see out of. She didn’t like the idea of being held up; she was almost claustrophobic after all. Tight places where it compressed her wing span, and most low ceiling areas made her feel uncomfortable. But maybe that tied in with being a bat demon.
xxxxxShe took to the ground now, her direction thrown off by the feeling of utter despair. Demons, B class demons and over, like her. She hated that, because she couldn’t have all she wanted with them, because they could be stronger opponents, they could very well murder her. Yuuko’s long, deep indigo kimono hung loosely on her form, engraved with gold, barely brushing the back of her wooden sandals. She loved lavish clothes, even to fight in. She found the heavy silks easy to move in, they allowed more room of her legs to move, for she didn’t wear them in the traditional manor. They split up the front, making movement simple.
xxxxxHer crimson optics searched the forest around her, fingernails lightly tapping together. It wasn’t a nervous habit, just a habit. It came with the claws, which looked more and more like nails as her wings retracted into her back, leaving two massive slits in the back of her kimono. The more steps she took, the more human she began to appear, well, for the most part. Her nails were still long and pointed, and her eyes were still a dangerous crimson with a malevolent under tone.
xxxxxNot to mention, her clothing was still rather ostentatious.
xxxxxShe had been told to meet the others here, those who were asked to strike out. Or something like that. All she knew is, they were supposed to go to the human world, which she was dreading. The human world was tempting, like throwing a starving tiger into a room full of wounded deer. The smells -most of them- only taunted the tiger’s senses, and pushed them to a breaking point. She hated animal blood; she was more a vampire bat then anything else. Strike that, more Vampire then bat. She didn’t mind human blood, it was usually sweeter then animals, a bit more metallic tasting, less tainted with wild plants.
xxxxxWhere were they to meet anyways? Yuuko figured she’d check the obvious place and wait a half an hour or so. Lightning shot out above her, thunder banged off in the distance. It didn’t bother her, she loved the sound. A twig snapped beneath her foot as she came to a large clearing. Demons met her when things of importance were discussed, or at least the ones she knew did. However, she wasn’t sure who was coming, who was recruited, and who complied. Many still held a wary eye on the Spirit world, even she did.
xxxxxThe clearing was empty of all other demonic presence. “How droll.” uttered Yuuko, sighing heavily, her wings reemerging, folding into her back neatly. She wouldn’t wait long for the others until moving on to any other meeting place. So far, near by areas didn’t feel as though a large swell of powerful demons had gathered, but she could be wrong. The stress could be throwing her off. She sighed once more and slipped off her shoes before sitting down, letting her form lean against a tree.
xxxxxNow there was only one thing to do, wait and wonder how bad the human world would be this time around.
