Yusuke ran throughout the forest dodging upcoming attacks from his rear with ease from the weak demons that were chasing him. He quickly disappeared in an instant and reappeared in the air and charged energy in his finger and then shot it towards the demons. "Shot Gun!" He yelled as multiple fires of spirit energy attacked all the demons that were chasing him. When he landed to the ground he then moved back alittle avoiding two demons that were trying to ambush him from two sides. He then raced forward and punched one of the demons sending him crashing through a tree and then did a roundhouse kick into the other demon sending him through the forest at a high speed. He then disappeared and reappeared right next to him and kicked upwards sending him in the air. "Spirit gun!" He said shooting the demon head on and destroying his whole body. When the demon he attacked before went came from behind Yusuke for a surprise punch Yusuke disappeared and appeared behind him and started to squeeze his neck. "Tell your leader to come after me himself because I feel insulted by him sending you guys after me!" He yelled and then threw the demon to the side and walked ahead now heading towards the portal to go back to the human world.

xxxxx Navigating through the trees was the easy part, seeing in the overcast air was just as simple. However, the idea of being under Spirit World command was just insanely painful. It made her wings ache, as though someone had broken them then tossed her up into the air, making her strain to use them. Her mind was clouded with thoughts, though it was only the right side, making one eye hard to see out of. She didn’t like the idea of being held up; she was almost claustrophobic after all. Tight places where it compressed her wing span, and most low ceiling areas made her feel uncomfortable. But maybe that tied in with being a bat demon.

xxxxxShe took to the ground now, her direction thrown off by the feeling of utter despair. Demons, B class demons and over, like her. She hated that, because she couldn’t have all she wanted with them, because they could be stronger opponents, they could very well murder her. Yuuko’s long, deep indigo kimono hung loosely on her form, engraved with gold, barely brushing the back of her wooden sandals. She loved lavish clothes, even to fight in. She found the heavy silks easy to move in, they allowed more room of her legs to move, for she didn’t wear them in the traditional manor. They split up the front, making movement simple.

xxxxxHer crimson optics searched the forest around her, fingernails lightly tapping together. It wasn’t a nervous habit, just a habit. It came with the claws, which looked more and more like nails as her wings retracted into her back, leaving two massive slits in the back of her kimono. The more steps she took, the more human she began to appear, well, for the most part. Her nails were still long and pointed, and her eyes were still a dangerous crimson with a malevolent under tone.

xxxxxNot to mention, her clothing was still rather ostentatious.

xxxxxShe had been told to meet the others here, those who were asked to strike out. Or something like that. All she knew is, they were supposed to go to the human world, which she was dreading. The human world was tempting, like throwing a starving tiger into a room full of wounded deer. The smells -most of them- only taunted the tiger’s senses, and pushed them to a breaking point. She hated animal blood; she was more a vampire bat then anything else. Strike that, more Vampire then bat. She didn’t mind human blood, it was usually sweeter then animals, a bit more metallic tasting, less tainted with wild plants.

xxxxxWhere were they to meet anyways? Yuuko figured she’d check the obvious place and wait a half an hour or so. Lightning shot out above her, thunder banged off in the distance. It didn’t bother her, she loved the sound. A twig snapped beneath her foot as she came to a large clearing. Demons met her when things of importance were discussed, or at least the ones she knew did. However, she wasn’t sure who was coming, who was recruited, and who complied. Many still held a wary eye on the Spirit world, even she did.

xxxxxThe clearing was empty of all other demonic presence. “How droll.” uttered Yuuko, sighing heavily, her wings reemerging, folding into her back neatly. She wouldn’t wait long for the others until moving on to any other meeting place. So far, near by areas didn’t feel as though a large swell of powerful demons had gathered, but she could be wrong. The stress could be throwing her off. She sighed once more and slipped off her shoes before sitting down, letting her form lean against a tree.

xxxxxNow there was only one thing to do, wait and wonder how bad the human world would be this time around.

Yusuke traveled through the forest at high speeds finally seeing the portal up ahead. He could sense someone nearby the portal and also could sense something about the portal wrong but didn't say anything about it. He then disappeared and reappeared next to the portal and the lady that looked like a bat woman to him. "Who are you?" He asked being on guard. There was something about her he didn't trust and he got a bad vibe from her. "Are you here for the mission or are you one of them?" He asked putting emphasis on his last word to classify the bad guys.

xxxxx She stared at her toes, watching bits of light shine against her black toe nail polish. The wind barely blew, shoving her hair forward mere inches, making her shiver unconsiously. She loved the cold, but her body was so lost in a fog, she wasn't sure what was going on outside her being of flesh and bone. Her mind wandered, finding comfort in the unknown. Dangling on the edge of dangerous thoughts.

xxxxxHer entire life thrived off of danger. It was like moving ones hand over an open flame. You could feel the heat, but your palm never dwelled over long enough to burn the flesh more then a surface burn. Which, came to the skin sometimes, when the hand was to close to the flame. She remembered sitting awake by candle light in the corner of her family's home, the slight warmth radiating up and barely touching her skin. She'd never realized her life would be like that. Conning was the candle, and her life was the hand.

xxxxxOne wrong move, and she'd be burnt.

xxxxxThe idea alone didn't frighten her like it should. It made her want to live her life more. To feel the rush of adrenaline, to prefect the art of theatre, to act as though she loved a man when she really wanted nothing to do with him. Most men were egotists when it came down to it. They couldn't admit when they were wrong, and they were usually short tempered. Much like Yuuko was now. She dressed like a woman, but held the temper and pride of a man. Or perhaps it was man that held the temper and pride of a woman? Where was a scholar when you needed one?

xxxxxShe'd find a man to love when she truely wanted one, and when one truely wanted her for more then her busty top and persuasive bottom.

xxxxxShe peered up with dulled hues as someone approached, a single black brow raising. Her features sported a quizzical brow and a delicate smirk. Well, half smile. She hadn't expected the compant of Reikai's poltergeist. If he wanted to arrest her, he'd have to come back later, because her crimes were petty, and had nothing against the human world or anyone in it.

xxxxx"I dunno kid, take a stab. You think I'm some low class demon who's spending some time in the forest, hiding out for a king. Or do you believe I'm an upper class beast who actually decided to go along with Koenma's little plan?" She asked, crossing her arms beneath her chest, her fingers tapping in the air slightly. "And be sure to give a wise answer, or I might just have to wrip out your throat." She smiled deviously, both her brows narrowing slightly.

xxxxxOf course she wouldn't rip out his throat. 'Cause she had a feeling Reikai wouldn't like that much.

Yusuke listened to the demon woman talk and then tried to sense her power. "From what i'm feeling now your power level is low meaning your either weak or your hiding your power meaning your strong..." He then studied her abit and walked around her surveying her. "Well you would have attacked me by now if you was a threat so i'm guessing you on our side and you can be potentially really strong or just a pretty face." He stated and then blushed alittle from her beauty. "Hope your not all talk demon." He then forgot he hadn't introduced himself. "I'm Yusuke Urameshi, and you?" He asked now looking at her in the eyes but more at her breasts.

xxxxx She could feel his gaze leave hers and travel down.

xxxxx"That's fine kid; look but hands off."

xxxxxThis was Reikai's finest? He seemed just as easily distracted by her split kimono as most of those low class losers at the bars. She let her eyes close, her head turning to the side as he introduced himself in an almost distracted tone. In fact, his sudden interest in her chest area almost made her laugh - almost.

xxxxx"All talk? Hardly, I didn't become a B class with mere words." She remarked chuckling softly. Oh no, if he couldn't already figure it out, she was a lot like a black widow. She lured the enemy in and then; well, it was lights out for the unlucky fool. They were all the same, so easy to break with the right touches, the right words and the proper tone. A silky smooth string of words and a brush to the chest sent them down faster then a sack of bricks.

xxxxxYuuko drew up one leg and held it loosely with her arm, wiggling her toes slightly as she attempted to wake it up. Her body had numbed because the blood flow and the time of day didn't match. She was more of a nocturnal soul, and right about now she'd be upside down. Even as a human, she slept with her head hanging off the bed in order to regulate the blood flow to her head.

xxxxx"Ialready know who you are detective. I don't live in a box." She remarked casually, shifting slightly in her sitting place. He wasn't a bad looking young man. Handsome qualities, and auburn eyes. He was well built for a former human, and his height seemed acceptable, as in, he was taller than she. He didn't seem to rely much on thought when he fought, from what she'd heard about his boughts, and often thought of pure emotion. Sure, in a time of physical and mental stress, powers rose; but was that a good thing? Many lost contorl because of that.

xxxxx"Isuppose I'll introduce myself as well than. I'm Yuuki Hatsuharu." She remarked dimly, as if her name wasn't needed. She rarely used her real name in conversation, so she couldn't be easily tracked, but she supposed it would be fine with this one. Though, she'd keep a wary eye on him, he seemed to be a loose cannon.

xxxxxThough a loose cannon was always interesting to have around. And when aimed the right way, could devistate many things; including worlds.

Hiroyuki Nomora

Hiro really missed Europe. Which was odd. He wasn’t usually the type to get attached to human places, however now that he’d been forcibly dragged back to Japan he realized that he really did favor the other location. It wasn’t his home or anything--in his thousands of years alive, he’d only spent about two-hundred there--but he’d grown attached. And the people’s way of speaking was prettier there as well, as opposed to this bothersome, screechy Japanese. He’d tried to replicate the other accent, hopefully keeping a piece of that place with him.

He figured maybe he was going soft. The years were finally catching up to him and making him act like a nostalgic old man. He really didn’t need a human landscape. As long as he had his plants, he was at home. Namely, his favorite flower, a white lily. It was strange that he’d choose that one, seeing as he really detested the color white, but really the reason for the choice was more to do with the flower’s abilities than how it looked. The lily wasn’t like a rose in the sense that it was a great attacking weapon. No, if he wanted a quick, easy attacking weapon he could resort to his leaf-katanas. The lily was just a resourceful thing. Like a swiss-army knife. It never started out strong, but it seemed to learn as the battle went on and serve it’s master’s purpose that way. It was a little tougher to control than other plants, but that was part of the appeal. Hiro had always liked challenges.

He was an odd-looking thing. Not bad looking—actually, one might say he was attractive—just odd. Skinny as a stick and paler than a piece of paper. And to boot, he only ever wore black. It was a comfort color. But it had the effect of making him look kind of like Tim Burton was his fashion consultant. Ah well. At least he didn’t have strange hair to go with it. Really, he did everything in his power to stay in the shadows. He didn’t want to be noticed. On the contrary, he wanted to stay in the background and serve whatever purpose Koenma had for him there. Those who are easily spotted always die first. Not that he planned to die anytime soon.

He stood by himself, staring up at the sky like a tourist with really no goal in mind. Yes, there were spirit energies everywhere, hinting a battle somewhere close, but he didn’t care. Not yet, anyway.

That boy was surely going to be the death of her.

The young brunette trailed through the hall ways of the school, her auburn optics observing the slight flow of blue uniformed traffic. They all looked the same, and yet they all looked so different. But none of them were Yusuke. That boy was sure to turn her grey before her time was remotely near. His reckless behavior and his poor judgment; it all plugged into an equation that ultimately lead to a nervous breakdown. Of course, voicing such? Never. She'd let it remain in her mind, snaking through her thoughts, destroying the interior of her body with swift, strategic blows.

The days were always slow when he wasn't around.

No one to yell at or scold for sill misdeeds. Still, it wasn't until he was gone that she realized he was a large chunk of who she was. And she'd already seen him dead once, was there truely a need for a second time around? It seemed as though Yusuke didn't care; he still went off to save the world. Of course Keiko supported him, it was the only thing she could do. Play the cheerleader in the stands, praying the score goes in her teams favor. Encouraging them, hoping her words helped.

The scream of the bell and the traffic began to grow, flooding the door, bringing a loud wave of chit-chat up, drowning Keiko. She could barely think, barely reflect, barely hope; now, as the students around her played their word games as if nothing was wrong. Friends laughed. Couples whispered in secrets. Girls giggled. And boys teased. So much movement, so many voices; to many really. Keiko hated the noise level, but it soon fanned into nothing as the school yard emptied, teens going home.

She peered up at the sky. Overcast and cold. She wasn't sure why though; and something about it made her uneasy. Something about this sort of weather always did.

Yusuke looked away quickly when the demon woman said for him to look but keep his hands off. When the woman introduced herself Yusuke held out his hand for her to shake it. "So do you know of all the teammates to meet up here?" He asked now looking up at the portal. "What is the mission excatly I kinda ran off before he said anything all I heard was something about the human world..." He admitted now scratching his head. He was very blunt and the type that didn't rely on his brain at times and that ws good in some cases but in this case it wasn't because he didn't know what he was getting himself into.

Humans would eventually be the ultimate death of him. Of that, Arius was certain.

They were so loud, and so destructive, and so annoying, and so overly protective, and so melodramatic. Honestly. Arius ran a super irked hand through his rough mane of spiked hair, stroking the smooth horns that protruded from the side with only the slightest vain smile. Oooh, he was so gorgeous, wasn't he? It was quite a pity that only the upper levels of demon could see his wonderous horns, Arius would have enjoyed showing off to the rest of humanity. Too bad. They'd just all have to die unfulfilled. Eh heh heh.

...and if they didn't shut up soon, their dying day would be quite a bit closer than any of them expected. School kids. Oh, lord, they were so annoying. Had he ever been like that, immature and screaming? Eruge. Arius sure hoped not, but wasn't quite certain that wasn't the case. Eh. That was in the past anyway, who cared what happened a thousand-some years ago? (Besides his mother. But we'll leave it at that.)

Thus, he was about to stride past the bustling school building when an insignificant girl caught his eye, causing him momentary confusion. Uh. Why exactly had she caught his attentions? No idea. Taking an involuntary step closer, Arius peered in confusion at her. Nope. nothing significant, she was definitely human.

...except, with a bit of an aura about her. It wasn't her own, actually - it was another's, a powerful demon's, if Arius was anyone to judge. Ooh, how absolutely curious! Now, why would a strong... was it an A? B? class demon? ...be interested in a little squirt like her? What a lovely detour this would be, avoiding Koenma's orders to report to whatever-place to meet up with the others.

Huh. Arius's eyes flickered around quickly as he took in his settings. Should that demon-that-seemed-to-have-made-a-claim-on-the-girl decide to pop out of nowhere and defend his human (ick, the very thought of it was disturbing; who'd want to claim a human?), Arius would have no cover story. And Koenma would be pissed. And Arius would go to jail for making problems. And that would be bad. And Arius would be pissed. The chain of events was not particularly appealing, so the dragon-demon let it be. Meh. He'd come back to her, eventually. Anyhow, if he was reading the aura right, the-demon-that-made-a-claim-on-the-girl would be of a high enough level to have been summoned by the ruler-toddler-of-the-Rekai. And perhaps Arius would meet him there. The thought made an impish smile draw across his face. Eheheheh, so perhaps this would be a little more fun that he had expected...

The world passed by slowly as the demon ran; this was unacceptable. What Arius really wanted was to do his half-transformation, re-birthing into that dragon blood that roared in his veins. Sure, he was a half-blood, meaning he could only go partway in his case, but there was wings enough to bear him to the sky. Anyhow, it was faster than running. Way faster. And it had a better view. The tinges of annoyance again stroked the fringes of his consciousness, but they were brushed away. There was no use pining for things he couldn't help.

Anyhow, the trees of the sudden forest popped into view soon enough, and then enveloped him in their all-encompassing greenery. Arius wouldn't have been able to fly in these conditions, anyway, so he was -slightly- soothed. The portal was ahead, the scent of home washing over him in a cloud of bloody-smelling wind. Aaaaaaaaah, it had been a good long while since the unmistakable scent had been carried on the wind to his nose. Very nice, very nice. Arius thanked the gods that Koenma had lowered the barrier - he was so, sososososo close to home. For a moment, he considered entering and running, making a new home in the Makai, but the thought was erased. He had a comfortable living even in the human's domain, and what would he do without the lovely novelties this world afforded him? Anyway, he was without any contacts in the demon's plane - naw, he'd have to build up an empire slowly. So, for now, Arius contented himself to stepping into the dark rend in the world, returning once again to where he belonged.

Intoxicating.

The power of the very air was electric, sending tingles racing up and down his spine. Invigorating. Lovely. There was no words for it, at least, none that the human tongue could possibly express. It was such a pity he would be leaving almost as soon as possible back to the human world. Che, it was Koenma's fault. All Koenma's fault. That little jerk! It was his suggestion they meet in the demonic realm, though Arius supposed it was all the better for the actual demons-of-the-Makai he had called. Meh. Whatever. Striding thoughtfully towards the two strongest spirit energies he sensed, Arius made his approach.

Two auras, one familiar, the other dark and cold, met his senses, and a grin slip his face. Oooh, so he had been right? Mr. Made-a-claim-on-the-school-girl was there, after all. Loverly. Now, just who was the other?

Emerging from between the trees into the small clearing in which the other two stood, Arius made a grand, mocking bow and announced, "Good afternoon, might I assume you both to be my allies for this mission, mmm? Introduction time, I believe? Call me Arius. Completely ecstatic to meet you." The last sentence was said in monotone. Exactly the opposite of what he was feeling - truthfully, this would be a superfun puzzle; find out as much as you can about these people. Heh. This game was going to be played with rules Arius made up all on his own. Rule one: Asking direction questions was cheating. Rule two: No more rules.

Yusuke turned to the new comer who just arrived in the demon realm and instantly got serious. This man gave him a bad vibe and he didn't like it at all so he would watch him closely. When the demon introduced himself Yusuke gave a half smile. "I'm Yusuke Urameshi, nice to meet you as well." He said looking at his body which seemed to be surrounded by a weird aura. Then the young detective looked up towards the demons head and saw horns. "Nice horns..." He stated now looking towards the forest sensing someone else coming closer. "How many are on this team?" He knew his teammates Hiei and Kurama and the rest would come but Koenma summoned his best for this mission and currently there were two powerful demons in his midst that he certainly didn't trust.

Heh. Yusuke Urameshi, eh? Interesting, Arius would have to remember that name. Dark eye slid over to the femme fatale, who seemed to cut a striking figure in the natural dark of the forest. Ooh, she was even more interesting, appearance-wise. Eh heh heh. Looking up and down appreciatively, Aruis couldn't help the softest whistle of approval. But, no more was said, not, at least, until she dubbed herself.

Oh look, a compliment! Arius smirked and ran a hand through his hair not for the first and definitely not the last time that day. Fingers lingered on the ivory horns as he replied, "Yes, they are rather gorgeous, aren't they? So glad you can appreciate them." However, Arius took note that this Urameshi-person had seen those pale tips - he was of a high class, then. B or higher. Of course, the demon had known that already, it was merely a confirmation. Hiding this, Arius added, "Apologies, I was given no information of this... team of ours beforehand, you'll have to excuse me for my ignorance."

Yusuke watched him closely again when he spoke and then focussed on he horns again trying to sense what level he was on. From what he could sense he was level B or higher and that mean't the demon was very skilled. "I'm sorry I don't know i was just asking Yuuko that question..." He then opened up his jacket alittle to get some air because it was rather hot in the demon world. Inside of his of his jacket was his wife beater that showed most of his muscles because it was sweat filled from training earlier that day. "From what i've seen so far alot of demons are constantly heading this way towards this portal..." He said now looking up at the portal sensing something was wrong with it. "Do you have a pass to get through the portal or did you just walk through?" He asked knowing if he just walked through then something was wrong with the barrier.

xxxxx She could feel his gaze leave hers and travel down.

xxxxx"Team? This is hardly some little tournament team."

xxxxxBy this time, Yuuko had stood, her wings spreading to stretch as she moved closer to the duo. Her steps seemed more set for stalking then casually approaching a small group. Her lips were twisted in an unholy smirk, as though her one statement had been the most amusing thing ever said. Her crimson hues traveled from the detective to the newer demon, a single brow raising.

xxxxxMy, my. This team was turning out to consist of handsome members. Well, this makeshift group of allies at least. She ran a set of slender hands through her hair, a deep brown set of horns spiking up through her skull, sending her hair parting around it. They weren't as magnificant as his horns; but his horns had nothing to do with the night life of a Vampire bat, now did they? Her arms moved back beneath her chest.

xxxxxHer claws swipped aimlessly at the air once more, her smile fading. "Yuuko, anything other then that, and I'll shread you." She remarked, her tone highly dangerous. Others had to earn the right to give her a nickname, no mater how stunning they may be. Then again, this guy was probably another b*****d; self centered and full of himself. Bah, nothing a few secret blows to his pride wouldn't fix.

xxxxxShe was a woman after all. And a woman's specialty lied within her undertone. When her words were one thing, and they meant another. Hell, Yuuko was a master with word games. She could very well charm her way outta death if need be. Or so, she liked to think it. Because many times, she had charmed her way out of certain death. Her eyes left the horned man and set back onto the detective.

xxxxx"As far as the ammount of demons wrangled, well who knows. It just depends on who wants to work under Baby-face." She shrugged slightly, her lips twisting into a delicate line. She did hope there were others who proved easier to get along with on this trip. Or she might just end up going to jail. However, the aura she got of these two was almost sobering.

xxxxxAlmost

xxxxx"As far as the portal goes, I'm not to sure. I can't imagine it opening for two beasts and a detective. Im sure binky boy has it set up to require more."
