Breenda Amelia Sciver

To be perfectly honest, walking around with no plan was quite boring. Bree found herself yawning often, much her dismay. She should have remembered that things usually got interesting at night, but during the day it was mad boring. Still, it wasn't like she was going to sleep the whole day away. The thought actually came about to make a name for herself. The only problem was that she couldn't figure out what kind of name she wanted. Famous or infamous...good or bad...like it's that simple. She laughed to herself. The world ran in shades of gray. As far as she could figure, to be perfectly good or the opposite was extremely difficult. Even the Batman wasn't all good, he did things his own way...he just decided to help most people.

But what's the fun in helping people all the time?! That, my friends, would be extremely boring. Breenda believed that to truly have fun, you must mix things up every once in a while. Stomach growling slightly, she continued to make her way down the streets of Gotham. Her blue eyes, that had a much higher sense than normal humans, searched for something, anything that she could possibly eat. Her nose was also trying to get any signs of food. Finally, after about another fifteen minutes of walking, the smell of an outdoor market reached her nose. There were plenty of different foods to chose from. Bree headed over to the fruits simply because they didn't require any cooking and they would be easier to walk around with.

The man selling the fruit had his back turned to her because he was talking to another customer. Bree took her time and picked out a few peaches and apples. These should do for now. She turned with her food to walk. "Um, Sir, here's the money for these," Bree said, holding up the fruit and money. The man thanked her and took the money, turning his back again to take a little inventory. Bree walked away with her fruit...and the man's wallet. I hope there's enough money in here for my to buy some food later on. The black haired girl could simply steal food again, but actual cooked meals were just more difficult to take. Her eyes stared up at Wayne Enterprises' building. She vaguely wondered what went on in there, but she continued to walk.

Bruce leaned back in his chair tiredly. He had gotten through the files rather quickly: by lunch he was done, and yet he had a head ache. "Guess that's what you get for not paying attention to your business," he muttered to himself. "I need to stop neglecting my work." He told himself in a very disapproving voice. He stood up and pressed the speakerphone button connecting him to his secretary. "Ms. Kyle, please bring up my lunch and a large water bottle. I'm finished with the files, as well. Bring me any messages or important news, as well. Thank you," he sighed and ended the connection before walking over to the large window. His tired gaze fell upon the city, the tower just barely in the sunlight as the bright, burning star passed the halfway point.

OOC: Okay, that was terrible, but I have major writer's block I've been trying to get rid of all day. Oh, and my nephew distracted me earlier, or I would've posted. My humblest apologies.]]

DaTruka brought to my attention that Selina had jumped to tonight in the RP. So we can all catch up to her, play out the rest of what's going on now (at whatever pace you need to) and jump to tonight. Thanks! In the future I'll try to keep a better eye out for these things.

Barbara reached the Wayne Enterprises Building and passed one of the exiting Employees. She couldn't help but glance back at her the Blond Haired woman must have been going home for the evening. It was roughly six in the evening. The night was sure to be exciting in Gotham. Barbara allowed herself into the building and went walking towards the Main Desk. The building was huge in comparison to all the other buildings in the city. An image caught her attention in the corner of her eye as she turned to face one of the walls. 'Perfect. A map of the building. This place was really really big.' She thought as she memorized the route to her new second job.

The room was located not far from Mr. Wayne's office. There is no harm in exploring the worksite right? Barbara took off her coat and drapped it over her purse and decided on going up the stairs. Why not get excersize while she was at it. Hell it would sure help fight off all the calories she had in the Caramel Frappachino she just had to have with extra caramel. Her boots clicked softy as she ascended the stairs her mind trying it's best to prepare herself for the other mess she had to fix soon. Her red hair getting in her face as she kept going made her think back to the time her father had the same hair color as her.

It could have been a half an hour by the time she reached her destination and opened the door from the stair well. Cautiously she walked through shutting the door softly behind her. The room directly across from her was the break room that was currently vacant. Barbara walked in relived that they had water and served herself a cup and sat down in one of the empty chairs. A loud sigh escaped her lips after her first taste of the liquid.

Her tranquility was only shattered by the loud sound of her cell phone going off. Barbara grimaced as she irritatedly looked through her bag for the phone and flipped it open. "Hi Babs.. I'm sorry to call you so late but I might not be able to take you to that party.. Jim and I might be going to a movie. You can come with us if you'd like?" Began the voice on the line belonging to Angela said. Barbara sighed once more. "No. It's ok. I don't want to be a third wheel you know. How about you text me the directions to the party and I'll go alone." She said trying her best to sound excited."Ok. Hope you have fun and I'll see you for Lunch Monday ok."Angela added with a click.

Barbara sighed as she tucked her phone away and rested her elbows on the table. She rubbed her fore head almost exactly like her father did when he was frustrated. She let out another louder sigh when the text message arrived with a buzzing noise she ignored it and pulled herself up from her spot. She then moved herself out of the room and walked towards the office she was looking for. She stood in the hall way as she opened the door only to peek inside. 'This isn't as bad as the GCPD..' She thought closing the door again. The buzzing from her purse annoyed her as she once again fished inside for that ruddy cell phone she pulled it out and looked at the address and shut the phone and put away. Now she just leaned against the wall in thought. "Should I stay or should I go?" She whispered to herself as she contemplated going to the party or not.

The shadow that passed between his office door and the break room startled Bruce. It wasn't that he was frightened, per se, but he was quite sure that no one was on this floor any longer. Instead of staying at his desk, when he really had no more work left to do at the office, he stood slowly and stretched his back. He made sure that his computer was logged off and shut down, tidied up his desk, and then shut off the small lamp in the corner. As he made his way to the door, he stopped to put on his coat and check his watch. Almost six, he thought. He never should have stayed so late, but it wasn't like he minded. There had been no reports of violence, and therefore no need to leave just yet. However, the arrival of this mystery person and the empty feeling in his stomach was just enough to coax him out of the building.

He exited his office silently and leaned against the door, looking at the woman a few doors down who looked incredibly tired. He had a feeling she hadn't heard him come out. He folded his arms and tilted his head before speaking. "Excuse me, miss. Can I help you?" He asked quietly. He wondered why she was here, especially at this time of night. He took in her appearance as his hands shifted to his pockets; the red hair, trim physique. She was quite attractive, even in the dim lighting of the abandoned hallway.

Barbara who was still slouched on the wall outside of the accounting office let out a loud sigh only to have her attention captured by a voice. She looked up and stared straight at him trying to process his question. She had already found the office she was looking for so now she didn’t need any help. She then quickly straightend herself up and extended her hand her right hand. "I'm so sorry to be snooping around so late in the day. My Name is Barbara Gordon. I'm supposed to be the new accountant. I start next Saturday." She said with a smile. She still hadn't realized what time it was yet either. "I guess I should have waited till next Saturday to get the full tour instead of sneaking around the building." She added as she moved a strand of her hair from her face.

By now her mind finally registered who she was speaking with and a light flush coated her face. "And you are Mr. Bruce Wayne. " She added quickly as she tried to think of something brilliant to say. Nothing seemed to show up. "Umm. I guess I should get going you are a very busy man."She added with another smile as she looked down the hall for the stair well. "Plus, Mr. Wayne you must have a load of more interesting things to do right about now. Allow me to get out of your hair." She added as she finally decided to dig for her cell phone to check the time. "Oh.. It's six twenty.." She said aloud mainly for herself as she looked back up at him. He was attractive and looked really well built. 'He must train..' She thought as she began to blush once more.

Bruce started to smile, accepting her hand and shaking it gently. "Pleasure to mee you, Ms. Gordon," he tucked his hand back into his coat and straightened up off of his door. "I suppose it is rather late to be touring the building, but if they didn't lock it out I guess it's just classified as strange." He made sure the lights were all off, save for the lights near the front desk, and started for the stairwell door. He smiled again when she realised who he was.

"Yes, I am Bruce Wayne, you got that right. Where you are wrong is that I do not have more important things to be doing. I was actually about to head out; would you care to join me for a walk downtown? Maybe get some Chinese food?" He reached for the handle, opening the door partially as he waited for her answer. "If I'm going to be your boss, I might as well get to know you."

Barbara just blinked and nodded her head in response. "I like knowing where I have to go so I don't make myself look like a fool the day I start. I just recently got back to Gotham several hours ago. I just decried to drop by the building after I met with my father. He gave me a splendid tour of the building." She began to ramble. "Most of your staff went home for the day.." She added softly as she smiled back at him her face no longer flushed.

She went through the door to the get to the stair well. She glanced back at him. "Chinese food? I haven't had decent Chinese food since the last time I was home." She commented as she began to walk on ahead. "Isn't it considered over familiarity if you know me?" She asked looking back towards him. He was attractive and that thought didn't even bother leaving her mind at all. "I'll have dinner but then I have to go. Ok. I have to attend a party..." She added trying to make an excuse to leave just incase she needed to. "Which Chinese restaurant are we going to?" She asked looking back at him. Her foot missing the step causing her to slip. Barbara quickly grasped the railing with both hands to stop herself from falling to the ground her face now red again. 'Great make yourself look like a dweeb in front of your boss.' She thought to herself as she stood back up.

Bruce couldn't help but chuckle softly as she lost her footing, taking his time in replying to her. "Knowing the work place is good, but maybe it would've been better if you'd come when someone could show you around properly," he shrugged, moving around her and continuing down while she stopped. "Then again, if your father gave you a tour, why are you here again?" He asked, raising an eyebrow as he stopped on a landing and waited for her. "Do I know your father?" He added.

"As for the familiarity, I don't think so. It is after hours, and technically you don't work here yet, so I can claim I knew you before you came to work here." He continued down the stairs, hoping he wasn't going to end up scaring her off.

Barbara glanced back at him. "My Dad showed me around the Gotham PD. I'm only going to be working at Wayne Enterprises Part time. He was showing me the records Department there. I deiced since I haven't been in Gotham in ages I might as well figure out where to go before next Saturday." She added looking down the stair well they must have been close to the ground floor by now. "As for you knowing my Father.. He's currently handling the case of your burglaries. He has a new officer on the case I believe." She added her tone sounding a tad bit hurt. Hell, she wouldn't have minded working late nights and the crime scene investigation. Now, That’s what she lived for she didn't want the paper pushing life she had ahead of her.

"I see." Barbara said as she smiled back at him. "It's really funny.. My younger brother sent me an e-mail prior to my coming back here. Mentioned I might get the opportunity to meet my second boss cause of my need to scope a place out." She added with a small laugh. "I read up on the background of your company. It was very interesting. I even wondered if there was a pattern in all the items being stolen from GPG it all could be related but I can't quite put my finger on it." There she went rambling on about random information that was stored in her memory. She caught herself before she rambled something about Batman being farther ahead of GCPD in the investigation. "I don't think your much older than me any way." She added as her mind trailed off to a different topic. "Sorry. I’m just currently readjusting to being back home. It's not that easy.." She added as they finally reached the bottom step. "Now Mister Wayne. Where are we off to?" She asked as she put her coat back on in preparation to going outside a sly smile on her lips.

Riley's green eyes peered out the third story window of a decrepit apartment complex, though the building had been long abandoned. The door had been boarded over, but it'd take more than a couple boards to keep her out. The young woman ran her hand through a head of short blonde hair, sighing ever so slightly. She'd missed seeing Gotham. All she saw back in her cell was the padded walls and the other criminally insane. Well, she'd showed them. A muffled sob roused the psycopath from her thoughts, causing Riley to turn around and cast an annoyed glance to the woman who sat bound and gagged in a chair.

Oh yes.

She'd completely forgotten about them.

Back to back, a man and woman sat, both with wrists and ankles bound to the wooden frames. Riley tilted her head to the side and took a few cautious steps toward the woman whose sobs only grew in volume with each step she took. "Shh..." She whispered, giving a calming pat to the brunette's head. "It'll all be over soon." A wild grin began to creep onto her previously calm face. A pale hand flung out and grabbed the back of the woman's chair which was then spun and pulled to the other end of the dim room. Without a look to the hysterical woman, she crossed the room and reached the man's chair, spinning it to face his wife.

The man was oddly calm given the current situation. Riley couldn't help but admire that. Standing between the man and his wife, she leaned in toward the man and reached behind his head, fumbling with the knot in the gag. It didn't take more than a second for the man to mutter a few choice curse words to her, but Riley responded with only a smile.

She moved three paces away from the man's chair and turned around. "Richard, Linda." She started, nodding to the woman and man in turn. "You may call me Cadaver and I'll be your hostess for this evening. The two of you and I are going to play a little game."

"Who's your father, exactly?" Bruce asked, glancing at her as he went down the stairs beside her. It seemed like no time at all that they reached the bottom. He sensed the sadness in her voice, but wasn't sure if he should comment on it. After all, he wasn't exactly her best friend. He laughed softly.

"Well, apparently, we've met." He paused, frowning at the mention of the robberies. "Yes... I've been wondering about that myself. Today I went over all the files over the past six weeks, and there seems to be a pattern, I just can't quite grasp it." He said quietly, though in reality he was hot on the trail of the stolen information and artifacts. He gave her a curious look, then took in her appearance for the first time. "How old are you?" He hadn't followed her train of thought at all.

"Anyway, I thought we'd take a cab downtown and stop at Chang's on Main Street. Then we could just walk until we get tired, if you don't mind." He smiled, pushing his hands into his pockets again and bowing his head somewhat shyly.

Tim's brown eyes wandered the schoolyard, it was empty now and most of the children had gone home but Tim still had about ten minutes of detention left. This experience wasn't a new one, despite being a very good person Tim had been rather brutish after his father had died and gotten into plenty of fights with all landed him here. This time was different though. He and Jim Gorden Jr. had been playing one-two with a soccer ball when it got out of control and went crashing into the back of the math teacher's head. There Math teacher believed that discipline was best for a child and the stricter the better, as so Jim and Tim were just serving out there sentence.

"My Dad's gonna kill me," said Jim as they packed up to leave.
"I doubt Bruce will notice that I'm late, he's just that busy," said Tim, "I would've thought being the police commissioner would be about the same,"

"Yeah, but you're forgetting two things," said Jim.
"And those are?" asked Tim, slinging his bag over his shoulder as they walked out the door.

"My mom, and your Granddad" said Jim.
"Alfred? I guess so, but if my luck holds out he might forget to mention it," said Tim, "Speaking of which there's my ride,"
"I still can't believe anyone getting picked up in rolls attends public school," said Jim.
"Yeah, well otherwise it's a long walk home," said Tim, "I'll see you later, at that Policeman thing,"

"Boy am I glad to see you, Alfred," said Tim as he got in. He stretched his arms before ratching through his bag for his hand held game. One of the benefits of being in detention that long was that he got caught up on all of his homework. When they got to what the term house could only be an understatement Tim grabbed his stuff and ran up the stairs as quickly as possible. "Hello" he called as he opened the door. His voice echoed though the many halls but there were no other sounds. With a sigh of relief he made the sigh for safe in baseball. Tim threw his bag and his coat in the closet carelessly before strolling back up the stairs. "Wow, I love this house," said Tim, it hadn't been much longer than a few weeks since his father had died and he had come to live there but it was still a lot to take in. Going from a two bedroom flat to a mansion was some transition to make. "I wonder where Bruce is today," said Tim, thinking the office or out on the town.

[Harley Quinn]

Harley laughed along with her puddin', and hopped into the car. "I know love it when you're on TV, puddin'!" The drive to the TV station didn't take a very long time. But nothing ever takes a very long time to get to in Gotham. Harley's secret is to never drive within the speed limit if you don't have to.

Upon arriving at the station, Harley turned to the Joker to ask him another question. "How're we gonna be putting the smiles on the faces of these people today Mista J?" She was always curious as to how things were going to be done. "An' puddin', you always put a smile on my face." Harley smiled at her puddin'.

((Sometimes I don't write that much when I haven't got much to write about. I apologize for the shortness.))

[Harleen Quinzel]
"I figured we could always restrain them, then release a nice little dose of laughing gas." he said, allowing some laughing gas to flow into the captive audience. He pointed to a few cameras as he sat down in the comfy seat. "I figured that we could play Guess What, Joker?" He said, a dark smile forming on his face. "Though, I always wanted to give Old Gordy a little taste of laughter, seeing how he is the one who forced me into that place." He said with dark laughter. He knew batman couldn't resist trying to rescue a few captive people and thats when He would give old batty a shock of a lifetime.

"Ol Harly, do Mister J a favor." he said, his voice soothing but at the same time, down right insane.
"Get the cameras ready so that they broadcast all over gotham." He said and turned into a late night talk show host. "Welcome to late night Gotham with Mister J." he said in a mocking voice. "I can't wait to show them who the truely insane one is." he said, his smile lost for a moment. "Though, I always wanted to be a talk show host." he whispered.
