Now the dark begins to rise
Save your breath, it's far from over

I don't want to change the world,
I just want to leave it colder

I will not fall, I will not fade
I will take your breath away

"And for a simple check up you had to leave the premises?" Aden inquired. "You believe our doctors are able don't you?" he kept his face calm, just one of asking simple things. "And besides that you're redder than a tomato, I doubt a skin change like that would be the end result of a normal doctor's visit, Hmm?" He stepped off his bed walking around behind Uhura, "Come now it can't be that bad...besides, anything long term is to be filed in your medical record anyway, you can tell me now or I'll find it later."

"Of course, if it is truly nothing, then we need not worry about you physical next month now do we?" He shrugged walking back over to the book shelf. He pulled a medical text book from the arrangement. "Of course you know what goes into those." He glanced over his shoulder from the text listing off the basic procedure of a physical, "Correct?"

Mrs. May looked around to the girl as she began to cry. "it's alright." She whispered as a young mother would whisper trying to calm a new born. "Many people will have the same reaction...probably young Alex included." she said trying to comfort her again. "please, it's only a few more doors to your room." She finished. He voice was more mature and mother like than it had been earlier, trying to hide it's own sorrow.

"Uhura"

Uhura gritted his teeth. Of course Aden would know a loophole. He should know by now that he had all sorts of connections and he would find out eventually, one way or another. Just another way he kept him here as his slave. There was no possible way to get out of this...

"Human Papillomavirus," Uhura muttered. "I don't know who I got it from or whether it will become serious or not, but the doctors told me they would keep an eye on it." He muttered under his breath, "For all I know, I could have gotten it from you."

You should see Mr. Squiggles

After a while, Natalie stopped crying. Their was an announcement that the founder of the hospital had died. Natalie felt sad, even though she didn't know him.
"Mr. Squiggles?" she whispered, "What do I do now?"
"Ask for a nurse or doctor child," Mr. Squiggles said deviously "And I will take care of it." For some reason, she didn't like this idea.
"No! I'll ask for a nurse or something, but don't hurt them!" She whispered fiercely.
"Why would you think I would do that?" He said innocently.
"Okay ..." Natalie said. She looked out the small window on her door, finding some people standing in the hallway, probably mourning the dead. She knocked on the cold glass window. "Umm, excuse me?" She said, hoping they could hear.

Joy Perry

Wiping tears from her eyes, Joy looked up at Mrs. May and nodded. Sniffling, she continued down the hall to her room. "He must have been very loved then," she commented, then shook her head. She needed some rest to calm her emotions. "Well, good night Mrs. May," she smiled.

Then, she saw a young girl down the hall. She had called out to them before. Joy walked over to her and asked, "Can I help you, Miss?"

Aden rolled his eyes at his last little comment, typical back sass. "An STD...naturally..." He whispered under his breath. He placed the book back on the shelf from whence it came, sloppily. "One last question."He added looking out the open door way to the balcony. "If you could change this place into anything.....what would you change it into?" a question He knew Uhura wouldn't understand, but he felt necessary to ask.

"Father had one intention when he built this hospital, to keep the mentally diseased from the streets." his eyebrows knit together remembering the last fight her herd of his parents before the divorce. He glanced back to his assistant.
"He didn't want them to get healthy and return, he wanted to keep them locked away so society wouldn't have to deal with them any more."

"Umm, Hi. Why am I here?" Natalie asked, trying to sound as innocent as possible. "And specifically, where am I? I woke up here, and I can't remember much." Lie. Well, it kind of was. She did know where she was, but not why. After all, it was Mr. Squiggles that killed the boy.
Natalie wiped the tears from her face. No more crying. She had to get out of this place. If they wouldn't belive her, she would have to fake her way out. Mr. Squiggles stood protectively behind her.

"Uhura"

Uhura glowered at Aden. Of course he would change the subject like that. Criticize him and then ask him a question like that. He thought for a moment, listening to Aden's speech on his father's ideals. Taking this into account, he answered, "Maybe a place that, oh, I don't know. Actually helps people? Like they say they will?" He knew that wasn't what Aden had in mind though. Probably something sinister for everyone involved knowing him. To Uhura, Aden was the physical manifestation of a devil.

He recalled the night he had lured him into his car 2 years ago. The boy had told him to sign a contract. He promised Uhura that noone would take advantage of him again. And now here he was, exactly where he started. But this time, only one person abused him.

"You're inside a hospital. And you're here because...well," Joy began. She didn't want to sugarcoat it, but it seemed rude to tell someone "it's because you're insane." Besides, this girl was schizophrenic and wouldn't believe she was sick. So she took a middle ground. "Because someone who knew you wanted you to be here. Because they didn't want you to get hurt. They thought you would be better off here instead of on the streets."

Aden raised an eyebrow, "Petty such a place doesn't exist." He shrugged. "Why so hostile tonight anyway?" he grunted. "Panties in a wad because of your condition?" He grumbled. "I guess suggestions just wasn't a good idea eh?" he smirked before stepping back outside. He looked at the stars, his dad had never done a damned thing to help him or anyone else in this damned place in his eyes, though what he had in mind wasn't better at all. "I suppose if you're going to be a constant grouch, well, then I have no reason to tell you my plans." He looked over his shoulder again to the boy. "No one likes a constant downer Uhura."

Kabecka sat on the steps of the hospital and stared randomly off at the sky. She awaited for a nurse or doctor to yell at her to check into the hospital, but she obviously didn't want to at the moment. She wanted to enjoy one last moment of freedom before she was forced to be put on a routine.Oh how she loathed routines. She placed her bag in her lap and nervoulsy sat there unaware of what she was to do.

"Uhura"

Uhura's expression changed when he mentioned his plans. Finally, maybe he would actually learn what Aden was up to! "I-I'm sorry, Sir," he nodded humbly. "I've just been stressed tonight." He looked up at him apologetically. He hoped Aden wouldn't make him call him Master. Or do something even more...drastic, as he did sometimes when he was bored. "Please, forgive my mood."

"Hospital? But I am not sick!" Natalie exclaimed, "If this is about what happened at school ... that wasn't me! That was Mr. Squiggles!" She didn't think it was fair that she was stuck here for what he did. Sure, she was mad at the boy, but that didn't give Mr. Squiggles the right to kill him. "He's very sorry though!"
Now that was a lie. She knew for a fact that he didn't care one bit. It actually scared her a bit, because she knew he would do it again. He should be the one locked up!

Joy Perry

O~h! I've done it now... Joy panicked. She needed to come up with an explanation and fast. "Well, maybe someone thought you were sick. So they sent you here to get you checked out. Perhaps you're actually just fine." She laughed nervously. Time to change the subject, "Now what's this about what happened at school? Care to talk about it?"
