Valkyrie Profile: Thrud (RP-Open-Accepting)

Thrud rushed forward towards the nearest door and took up a position beside it and waited for the other two to be beside it, pressed against the wall as well before she jumped to in front of it and kicked it down her swords ready...

Garret got ready in the position the Valkyrie wished, his staff at the ready.

Behind the door stood... nothing but a large shining green gem that exuded a kind of uncomfortable feeling in everyone.

"Can't believe a child corrupting thug became an Einherjar, that's just bullshit!" Kay grumbled as he led the way to the door which when opened revealed another green gem.

As Thrud stepped forward to take a closer look at the gem Darin turned to Garret questioningly, "Garret, I have a question... why did you use those children and turn them into warriors when you could have just taught them to become farmers?"

"Why is it you do not like the bandit?" Rolanda questioned curiously as she awaited further orders from Thrud when they entered the room.

Garret waited a minute, to recollect the memories, then opened up. "the first few months were of famine. And there were about a fifth of them that were too young or sick to be able to do harduous tasks. And they took shelter in a mountain. It would take several hours to travel to and from the shelter in the morning and at night." Garret stated. "I guess after a while, we could have moved. I guess Im just thinking of where I went wrong raising Kadmar. I never intended to make my group a bunch of rapists. you could say he became a black sheep."

"I'd say they were all black sheep, but i suppose i'm not one to talk considering I'm no better..." Darin said honestly as he looked at the green gem, "I killed people simply to gain the favour of my family so i guess Knights and thugs are both nothing more than murderers..."

Garret was taken aback at that. He didnt expect a young knight to ask him about his choices. "Well... You are modest. That isnt something we see that often. At least you asked before condemning me completely. Why would you want to ask me?"

"You think Kadmar was the only rapist?" Thrud asked the bandit amusedly taking slight pleasure in his naivete as she inspected the green gem thoughtfully only to take one of her swords out and to slash it, the wall behind it opened up to reveal a hidden door. Telepathically speaking to Kay and Rolanda she said, "Slash the gem, it is a switch for the door to the next room..."

Darin shrugged and when Thrud voiced her question the young wanna-be Knight considered the bandits lifestory and found himself silently agreeing with the Valkyrie but he could not help but feel second rate still yet he decided to try and pacify the situation, "What's the history of these caves, Lady Valkyrie?"

Garret couldnt help but think about where he went wrong raising the children. He knew Kadmar was one of the ones in charge of the rebelious ones. But he found it hard to admit he was wrong.

"So you hate the man for allowing your beloved to be raped and killed?" Rolanda asked quietly before moved onto another question while taking out her carving knife and slashing the gem, "What was she thinking going by such an area?"

"She was trying to ironically, avoid bandits..." Kay admitted with a dry chuckle as he humourously considered the manner in which they died, "Next time i'll see her i'll tell her to avoid any and all short-cuts."

(Calling all mercenary characters, their all gathered so therefore we are ready...)
It has been 2 years since the mercs last saw one another and now they have gatehred in the quiet town of Solde where they made the oath to see each other after 5 years but due to a recent tragedy in Kay's death the group has decided via letters to convene together now.

"The afterlife is all about paying for one's sins and seeking redemption which in the case of mortals who have committed lesser to average offences such as yourself is certainly possible." Thrud said to Garret before she led the way down the doorway that had just opened up.
