Canon Characters
Kratosian Taiyoukai
Name: Grimmjow Jeagerjaques (pronounced Jaggerjack, much to my chagrin. -.-)
Age by appearance: Appears to be in his thirties, older than he looked as an Arrancar
Gender: Male
Race: Soul Reaper
Rank: Squad 11 Captain
Appearance: Grimmjow is a well-built individual, and there’s no shame in his game; he wears his captain’s uniform open, and his sleeves are personally tailored so that he can pin them rolled up and out of the way. His Captain’s haori is already pretty much alright in that aspect, since the sleeves are ripped off. He still has blue markings beneath his eyes, along with his light blue hair, spiky and unruly as ever, and cold azure eyes. He’s relatively tall too.
Grimmjow’s got a permanent scowl-ish appearance, as if he’s always pissed, and it only ever shifts into amusement when he’s faced with a fight.
An obvious change to his appearance is the lack of his hollow mask jawbone.
(I’ll draw him eventually. =P)
Personality: Grimmjow’s a jerk, plain and simple. He’s not a nice person by nature, and often has problems working with others fluidly. However, for the most part, he tends to buckle down when its needed, and as far as being a captain, he’s more than adequate. His skills are particularly adequate as the captain of Squad 11 since he’s considered a combat specialist, and also the strongest and most deadly swordsman in the Seireitei. This is not really because he often uses his skill with a blade primarily, but because he
can and because he’s killed and/or defeated an insanely large amount of people.
He’s not complacent about it, because he’s respectful to the fact that the previous Kenpachi was no one to sneeze at, and knows Zaraki might one day come back to steal his title.
Grimmjow is clever, too. Far from being as simple-minded as he behaves, he’s insightful in battle, and while he’s not typically a sympathetic individual, he does try to figure people out and solve any outstanding and immediate problem they have. If he didn’t, then they’d become a liability later, and he doesn’t have time to carry dead weight.
Abilities: Grimmjow is a swordsman, but in his mind, strength comes before the weapon. As such, he’s trained in martial arts and, with his physical strength he can deliver crushing kicks and powerful punches. To him a sword is an extension of his arm which needn’t be used at all times. Physically built as he is, he also relies on a relatively decent skill in Flash Steps, and he enjoys the boost it offers.
As well as being a masterful hand-to-hand fighter and swordsman—and also perhaps because of it—he has the ability to grab and block the swords of other Soul Reapers with his bare hands and sustaining little to no injury. He speculates that it has something to do with his past life that he has this ability, except that it’s more regulated by his immense spiritual pressure than anything. As such, it’s not easy to cut him.
As a Soul Reaper, Grimmjow of course has a zanpakutou, and amusingly enough, it has not changed in his species transition from Arrancar to a positive spiritual entity. It is still named Pantera, and still retains the same blade and hilt shape. As is required of a Captain, he has mastered not only his Shikai, but his Bankai.
Shikai: Grimmjow’s Shikai is activated by the word “
Devour,” followed by his sword’s name. Upon speaking the release, his sword is enveloped with light, and then disperses, creating up to three catlike creatures. They are all different; one is a white jaguar, another is a black panther, and the third is a clouded leopard with varying shades of black, white and gray. They need not all be out at once, and neither is more powerful than the other. Each of them take a certain level of Grimmjow’s immense reiatsu to create, and defeating even one robs him permanently of that reiatsu for the battle. Recalling the familiars back into a sword returns the reiatsu.
Bankai: Grimmjow’s Bankai is a dangerously odd reverse to most Soul Reaper zanpakutou releases. It still retains the traits of an Arrancar release, and rather than being an augmentation of his Shikai, the Bankai is an augmentation of himself, activated in exactly the same way as it was when he was an Arrancar. He’s not bothered by it, it’s an intrinsic part of who he is. He knows however that it does bother others around him.
As for how his Bankai works, it is released with the word “Grind,” followed by the sword’s name, in concordance with a slashing motion down the blade with his left hand. When released, Pantera fuses with him, changing his appearance as it releases. His clothes become form-fitting and segmented, his ears become catlike, his teal markings extending to the tips and coloring the upper edges, while the inner fur is light blue to match his hair. Said hair lengthens substantially, growing past his waist level. His hands become black and clawed, and his feet become black cat paws, while his leg structure is altered into a more feline shape, with long ankles. He no longer retains the masklike forehead-covering or the stomach hole, but he does have the whiplike tail and the dangerous forearm and ankle blades. Most intimidating would probably be his mouthful of sharp teeth, making his grins look twice as deadly.
His Bankai gives him incredible speed, agility, power, and flexibility. His tail is also prehensile and functions as a whip or a grapple.
The final power granted to him by his Bankai is also his least-used. While Grimmjow can employ his Desgarron claws as a ranged extension of his black claws, doing so drains his reiatsu greatly. This is most likely because it is a somewhat incompatible move that he happens to be able to use which he
shouldn’t be able to use. Using Desgarron usually drains him of enough reiatsu that his Bankai is reversed.
History: Grimmjow did not survive his wounds from Ichigo and Nnoitra. Left unable to move and forgotten in the havoc Aizen caused at the fake Karakura Town, he passed slowly and painfully.
Ichigo did, however, do him a great justice in this matter. By cutting the Arrancar with Zangetsu, he allowed Grimmjow a chance to pass into the Soul Society, where he was judged for his crimes not only in the World of the Living, but also as an Arrancar. To his credit, he was an excellent lawyer for himself, and professed that all of his sins could be lain bare before the Soul Society’s ineptitude, and that if they wanted to punish him for following a man he had no choice but to follow, then what kind of petty justice was that. And if the argument was that he was a hollow, then he argued back that it was his nature and that most hollows did not ask to end up as they did, and he didn’t bother the Soul Society until Aizen ordered him to do so; he’d been only too happy living in Hueco Mundo as an Adjucha before being Shinigamified.
As such, the Soul Society eventually allowed him to exist and assimilate, noting that Grimmjow did indeed have a point, and that for a hollow, he had been incredibly unobtrusive, plus he hadn’t lived a life in the World of the Living that condemned him (not that he could really remember). For many years, they kept an eye on him, and eventually assessed that Grimmjow Jeagerjaques was no longer a threat to the Soul Society.
It could not be ignored, however, that he was vastly powerful as a spiritual creature.
Grimmjow’s existence in the lower areas of Rukongai did not displease him. He had all the fights he could ever want and more, because he was an ex-Arrancar, and the belligerent spirits sought him out to beat him now that he had fallen from his Espada ranking.
To which end he beat the non-living s**t out of everyone that questioned him
Eventually, the Seireitei was brought to his attention, and he wondered what the ******** happened in there, at which point he was told about the Gotei 13 and, due to the District he’d been passing through when learning of the Gotei 13, Kenpachi Zaraki as well. He remembered the name, and remembered what had happened to Nnoitra when he’d faced the man, thus found himself allured by the prospect of fighting the captain.
It worked for the higher echelons of the Soul Society, to have him put through the Soul Reaper Academy. It was a more practical use of Grimmjow’s raw power both physically and concerning his reiatsu.
While going through his Soul Reaper training, Grimmjow found himself incredibly bored, until he eventually came across Zaraki. The man recognized Grimmjow, just as Grimmjow recognized him, though to the former hollow’s annoyance, Zaraki really didn’t offer him any sort of respect. Not that he expected instant respect anyway, but all the same, it irked him.
Stuck in the Seireitei and no longer able to go around Rukongai since he was stuck in the Academy, Grimmjow’s boredom only grew, and he started requesting sparring matches with his peers. Not surprisingly, he was successful in beating everyone he went against…but having found out what a Kenpachi was meant to be, he decided to challenge Zaraki. It was unheard of, ridiculous, and he was not allowed.
Then again, Kenpachi Zaraki didn’t adhere to all the rules of the Soul Society, and finding Grimmjow’s brash challenge amusing, he called the ex-Espada out on his own, using his status as a captain to do so. It wasn’t a mistake either. Grimmjow didn’t win the first time, nor the second time…he didn’t win a great many times. But he was a learner, and determined to boot. Eventually, he rose in power enough to overwhelm Zaraki, although it took a good three hundred years to do so. He didn’t manage to kill Zaraki, but went so far as to divest him of his captain’s title, shamelessly at that. Had he wished to kill, he had all the confidence in the world that he would have been very able to, but Grimmjow saw no point in ending things. Whether it was the unmerciful mercy the Soul Reapers had shown him by letting him slowly die of exsanguination or whether he was almost thanking the man for taking down Nnoitra Jiruga…even he did not know.
Now a captain, he gladly takes up the mantle of the old Kenpachi, and although he holds the title itself, he does not claim it openly. As for where Zaraki’s gone, the last Grimmjow had heard, the man had departed to train for the day that he might one day regain his captaincy. To this end, he left Yachiru behind.
Grimmjow does his job as a captain well, and all traces of his life as a hollow—not counting his memories and his Bankai—are all but eradicated, which is as he believes it should be.
Other: Because he was not transferred as a recently-passed soul into the Soul Society, Grimmjow retains his former memories as a Menos and Arrancar/Espada, though he does not remember his former life as a human. Thus, he harbors his vendetta-like feelings for Ichigo, though to a much milder extent. He instead challenges the other Soul Reaper to fights often.

Gobantai Hirako Shinji

Shinigami Hollow Vizard
______________________________________________

Name: Hirako Shinji
Age by appearance: Late teens/ Early Twenties.
Gender: Male
Race: Shinigami
Rank: Hachibantai Taichou [Eighth Division Captain]
Appearance: Perhaps a sucker for nostalgia, Shinji has changed practically nothing of his appearance from his previous days in the Gotei. His captain's haori remains standard and long-sleeved, with no personal effects donning his typical shinigami robes.
Shinji had never been a well-built man, and that has seemingly remained the same. Though his strength is undeniable, he is rather lanky and thin. His clothes seem to hang on him rather than fit him, and he would likely be mistaken for a female if bone structure alone dictated gender.
His hair, though kept short and primped while outlawed in Karakura Town, has been once again grown out, though not to the extreme it was before. Mid-back length golden blonde locks are, instead of flowing freely as they had before, kept tied tight in a high ponytail-- something of a middle ground between his two previous styles. His bangs, however, remain straight-cut and unchanged.
Hazel eyes remain alert and vigilant as ever, though with perhaps a touch more seriousness to them now than before. Age, and the consequential stress, has seemingly taken only a slight toll on his features. A bit more high-matienence than most other males, Shinji has kept up with his appearance over the years. Slight creases have formed under his eyes, though they're usually shielded by the shadow cast from his bangs.
Personality: Though past events have struck a more serious tone in him, Shinji remains fairly light-hearted. He is not quite as comical as in previous years, but by no means borders on stiff; his sense of humor is still well-placed, just perhaps kept in check a bit more.
He is an easily-riled character, getting upset at the most minute of accusations, provided they aren't blatantly true (or, sometimes, even if they are), and never cares to admit that he's wrong in a situation. Once again, his edge toward a more solemn personality has toned down this aspect, but in no way prevents him from bantering needlessly.
Easy-to-read would be an understatement, as Shinji tends to wear his heart on his sleeve. He isn't afraid to show his joy or anger, and expresses every emotion with great enthusiasm. Since he is rather introverted, he is entirely compassionate and cares dearly for those he holds close. This, of course, does not entail that he will ever admit such. Likewise, Shinji is a very analytical man and is a frighteningly accurate judge of character. If he has suspicions about someone, they likely hold a bit of truth to them, and his opinion on the matter is not easily swayed.
Stubborn and a bit arrogant at times, nothing is kept hidden when it comes to his mind, and he is often viewed as rude or ignorant for stating what he believes to be nothing more than the truth. He will defend his own ideals and stick up for what he believes is right, even if it isn't quite the popular opinion or the most likely outcome.
While he isn't a particularly violent or malicious being, and tends to be more passive rather than aggressive, Shinji is by no means insufficient in battle. His rare ability to keep a level head and analyze his opponent's power and fighting style proves more than useful in dire circumstances. He rarely rises to any bait his enemy might taunt him with (a rather opposing reaction to his normal instincts when teased), and instead focuses on the quickest and cleanest way to end the fight.
Abilities: Shinji is a master swordsman and wields his zanpakutou, Sakanade, with great ease. Though he by no means relies on it during battle, he is far from inept in its uses and does not hesitate to draw it if necessary. Coincidentally, Shinji is not an expert in hand-to-hand battle, despite keeping his sword sheathed at all possible times. His style of fighting relies more on his extraordinary shunpo abilities, as he prefers to dodge as many attacks as he can before actually engaging in a fight. This is a direct representation of his passive personality.
Though he relied heavily on his hollow mask during his time as a fugitive in the transient world, Shinji only breaks it out when absolutely necessary now that he is once again a captain in the Gotei. Acutely aware of the unease such a transformation causes, he has learned to rely more on his natural capabilities rather than the ones given to him (albeit unwillingly) by Aizen. However, his hesitation flies out the window if a close friend is in danger, or if there are no other options in battle. He still remains quite skilled in using its powers, from the enhanced speed and strength to his granted ability to fire cero.
As per the demands of the captain class, Shinji has achieved both his shikai and bankai.
Shiaki
Release: Taoreru [Collapse]
Sakanade's blade does not change shape when released, but instead gives of a brief, dizzying, high-pitched squeal. Anyone who hears the sound is subsequently caught in Sakanade's trap, and is subject to its powers. In shikai form, Sakanade gives Shinji the ability to control time to the extent of freezing it. If Shinji can keep track of a person for only a few seconds, he can freeze their movements entirely. The effectiveness, duration, and strength of each individual attack is subject to many factors, visibility being the main key. If Shinji's attention or line of sight is broken from his target, his opponent is released from their prison. The greater distance away a target is, the less control Shinji has over their movements, making him very dangerous in close quarters.
When under Sakanade's grasp, the very time and space around a person is frozen. Their senses are dulled to the point of unreliability, and their thought process becomes sluggish and incoherent. They are unable to move, speak, or even properly think.
Bankai
Release: Kyodatsujoutai [Mental Numbness]
When his bankai is activated, Shinji's blade shatters completely while the hilt remains in his hand. The fragmented pieces of the blade swarm his opponent and, if able to catch and touch the enemy, sink into their skin. This action leaves Shinji entirely unprotected and focuses entirely on offense. Once 'infected' with Sakanade's blade, the opponent is immediately subject to bend to Shinji's will. His bankai's power is the ability to control one's very thoughts and persuade their actions. This spell can only be broken either by Shinji's permission, his death, or if his opponent's mental state is superior to his own.
History: The war had ended long ago, and as many scars as it had left, it had also healed some. Namely, the troubled and hateful feelings between the Vaizard and the Shinigami. Yamamoto could no longer deny the presence of his unexpected comrades and rescuers, and was forced to acknowledge his fault in ordering their execution so hastily. While it took much convincing and eventual persuasion from the newly-initiated Ichigo, Shinji eventually pushed aside his disgust toward the Shinigami and even began considering filling the void that many deceased captains left.
It took many, many years, but after everything was said and done, Shinji left his fellow Vaizard to join the ranks of Soul Society once more. He understood well enough that those who survived wished not to further their association with the Shinigami, though their feelings bordered more toward neutral than anything. He, however, had always felt at home in his captain's quarters; enjoyed the attention his position gave him and the respect that had been so long forgotten. In one hundred years, he had never felt more calm than when he shrugged on a pristine, white haori with a large 八 printed on the back. The Eighth Division-- it had been partially his choice and partially a placement. His request to stay as far away from the Fifth Division as possible had been honored, and he went along smoothly with the rest of the decisions.
It was no surprise that very few faces remained familiar (even the long-standing Ukitake and Shunsui were noticeably absent), but the faces that were familiar came as a complete shock. Recycled souls had found their way to (or back to) the Soul Society. Whatever circumstances allowed hollows and traitors amongst their midst, Shinji didn't care to know, and it took another hundred years for him to relax into accepting the now-friendly faces. They were, after all, comrades, and if anyone was a fan of forgiving and forgetting (to an extent-- Aizen would never be forgiven), it was Shinji. Finally, after a long and tiring and painful journey, the captain-turned-fugitive-turned-captain felt he could finally relax.
Other: Considering Shinji survived the war, his memories and abilities are fully intact. His distaste toward Aizen has lessened none from the bitter betrayal he experienced six hundred years ago, though his forgiveness towards those forced under the overlord's rule has softened him slightly to the presence of former Espada.

Tenshu Aizen-Sama
Name: Aizen Sousuke
Age by appearance: Late twenties.
Gender: Male
Race: Shinigami
Rank: Hachibantai Fukutaichou [Eighth Division Lieutenant]
Appearance: Though his appearance is rather plain and mild, Aizen's features are anything by dull. His very presence indulges in charisma. Rich, chocolate strands of hair have returned to their natural, wavy state, once again remaining a bit unkempt and giving him a more youthful, less intimidating, appearance. His eyes, which previously had held only arrogance and deceit, are now filled with a rather free, innocent nature.
Black-framed glasses adorn Aizen's face, softening his features even more. His clothes, which fit his well-built frame rather nicely, are that of a standard shinigami's with the addition of his division's lieutenant badge wrapped tightly around his upper arm.
Personality: Nothing of his former life seems to have survived the transition. Aizen is a rather soft-spoken, kind-worded individual. He shows the proper respect to whom it is due, without reservation, and his speech is always polite and formal, even in the presence of friends. Though he is not entirely incapable of speaking harshly or bluntly, he reserves such unattractive behavior for his most irritable of moods.
In keeping with his calm demeanor, Aizen is a very level-headed and rational being, almost to a fault. His emotions are kept in clear check and often rationalizes away any lingering feelings that do not make sense in the situation. Simply put, if he feels something that isn't applicable, or is inappropriate, to the situation, he can most assuredly keep such emotion under wraps. This, however, does not mean is he unfeeling or lack compassion, and may fault in the presence of certain individuals or in certain situations.
Aizen is extraordinarily observant and a rather brilliant tactician. His strength does not lie in brute force, but rather in his ability to plan ahead. His perceptive nature gives him the ability to read the intentions of others very well and, in turn, is able to mask his own quite effectively. This, however, goes against his rather honest nature-- if there is anything Aizen is not, it is deceptive-- and he nearly despises his own ability to be so two-faced. While very contradictory of his past, Aizen feels a sense of unease about telling even the plainest of falsities.
Abilities: Aizen is, in plain terms, a jack of all trades. His spiritual pressure, straight from the academy, is enough to rival that of a third-seat and possibly even the position of a lieutenant. A perfectionist by nature, he takes care to develop each area carefully and thoroughly. His major weakness, despite his well-rounded set of skills, is hand-to-hand combat, while he specializes in kidou.
Shikai
Release: Shatter
Kyouka Suigetsu's ability is referred to as 'Complete Hynposis'. When activated, anyone caught within its grasp is influenced and their senses twisted to whatever Aizen may wish them to experience. All five senses are captured in the illusion, so much so that a person may misinterpret a friend for a foe. This hypnosis is absolute, and only beings with immense and accurate spiritual abilities may be able to tell when something is amiss. However, due to its flawlessness, even if a target is aware they are under hypnosis, they are unable to break free of its grasp. It is released only under Aizen's will.
History: Despite every effort, and entirely to his dismay, Aizen fell in battle to none other than his former captain, Hirako Shinji. As such, his soul was transferred from the dusty plains of Hueco Mundo back to his origins in Rukongai. There, with his memories of his former exploits erased, he resumed life as a wandering soul, rather peacefully co-existing with his neighbors for the next three-hundred years. Though he remained friendly, he largely kept to himself and developed no real bonds with anyone past casual acquaintances.
However, this serenity did not last. His desire to move beyond his current limitations, and the unbearable knowledge that his potential was going to waste, pushed him to seek out a way to further himself. This determination led him to spend the next century and a half training and developing his abilities, primarily on his own. His goal was to join the Academy, which he eventually did with great ease. He was a quick learner, and though he took his time to graduate at the normal pace, the added dedication he showed promoted him to the top of his class.
His entry into the Gotei 13 was brutal and awkward, at best. His appearance caused immediate suspicion and hostility, much to his shock and confusion. He was put in front of the Captain Commander himself, which seemed entirely odd for a routine initiation, and when he worked up the nerve to inquire about the unpleasant reaction, he was told that past events did not weigh in favor of his success in the Gotei. Aizen, however, was determined that the past 150 years were not in vain and stubbornly refused to return to Rukongai to waste his life amongst the other commoners. He had power, he knew, and he wished to explore it to its full potential.
Weeks of confinement, observation, questioning, and personality tests were run on him. He felt alienated, at best, and knew there was something unique about his case, though no one would explain exactly what. Finally, he was declared suitable for induction into a squad and, with no further explanation, released into a proper orientation.
From there, he was easily placed into the Gotei 13, initially under Mayuri Kurotsuchi's lead in the Twelfth Division as an unseated member. As per his friendly-yet-reserved nature, he kept largely to himself. The whispers and mistrusting glances he received from the rest of his squad members kept him from excelling in his desired fashion. After almost 50 years, when it became apparent to him that he would never advance in his current situation, despite his efforts to prove himself, he requested a transfer. That led to more suspicion and even greater hesitation. However, once again, favor smiled upon him and he was introduced to the Eighth Division.
Other: The beginning of the roleplay picks up immediately where the history ends, at Aizen's induction into the Eighth Division.

Amp Zaphrix
Name: Masaru Ryou
Age by appearance: Late twenties to early thirties
Gender: Male
Race: Shinigami from Human
Rank: First Squad Fukutaichou
Appearance: A tall, lean and pale man, Ryou holds himself in a manner that a Shinigami of his stature should, back straight, eyes forward, even his steps are perfectly measured at all times. His hair is worn back in a braided ponytail, strands of silver woven in and wrapped around top and bottom to keep it in place and prevent flyaways. Piercing silver eyes always seem to stare through that which he is beholding. His Shihakushou(Shinigami uniform) has been customized, a long serpentine dragon coiling about it in silvery thread, head on the left breast staring up at Ryou's head.
Personality: Cold, calculating, and precise, Ryou exhibits a vast capability for perception, analysis, and improvisation. Little seems to escape him, facts-wise, as long as he is trying to take in the information. Still, he is limited in his obvious emotional range, and does not often express sentiment or unnecessary emotional response.
Abilities: Ryou is intimately familiar with the workings of Zanjutsu and Hakuda, able to switch his style of combat as well as the weapon he's using(if in Shikai or higher form) as easily as one tenses or relaxes a muscle. His level of power with Kido, however, is far from fantastic. He possesses barely any Kido ability outside of Bakudo(Bindng arts), and even then he has only mastered up to 50th seat without incantation, and 70th seat with. Being Fukutaicho, Ryou is familiar with Shunpo, but by no stretch a master thereof.
History: 'Born' as a lesser member of the Shihouin family, Ryou spent the first several years of his life being groomed as a replacement for his distant cousin, the current head, in the extremely unlikely death of her and 32 other members of the family. After fifty years of this, however, Ryou knew that at best if he continued with this life he would be a minor diplomat. Such a life was neither welcome nor enjoyable for him, and so he appealed to the family to allow him entrance into the Shinigami academy. They approved, after a period of physical training to allow him to keep up with the others of the Academy. Face is important to the Noble Houses, after all. Recently, he graduated the classes set by his elders, and was allowed entrance into the Academy. To what end is yet to be seen. Ryou opted to change his name and deny taking servants, as he wished to truly be immersed in the world that the Shinigami sees. After completing the Academy with high marks in most combat and analysis classes, as well as leadership, he was sent to 1st Squad, where he worked up to the rank of Fukutaichou. Not once did he use his political clout, or his higher birth, as a bargaining chip. In fact, it is still a highly-kept secret. Ryou attained Bankai only recently, just before his appointment to Fukutaichou.
Other:
Zanpaku-to:Ginhebi "Silver Serpent". A relatively ordinary-seeming katana in a black saya(sheath) bearing engravings of snakes and serpentine dragons. The tsuba(guard) looks like a serpent swallowing its own tail, a symbol of immortality. The spirit is a pale fey woman wearing a black evening dress. She has a boa that is, in fact, a silver boa constrictor.
Shikai: "Shift and swallow whole, Ginhebi." As part of the call, Ryou runs a finger down the mune(back of the blade). As he does so, the weapon seems to melt into quicksilver until all that remains is a floating ball of liquid silver. Ryou is able to control the ball, altering its size and shape. He's able to change it to fit nearly any shape, though very complex mechanisms only have a small chance of being able to work. Regardless of appearance, it maintains the hardness of an advanced Zanpaku-to, and can never have more volume than roughly that of a standard inflated beachball. He has complete telepathic control over the weapon, but cannot force it to fly further than ten feet from him.
Bankai: Dokudokushii Ginhebi "Venomous Silver Serpent" retains the same properties as the Shikai form, though possible volume allowance is doubled. In addition, Every time Dokudokushii Ginhebi injures the enemy, it drains some of their Reiatsu. The amount of Reiatsu drained depends on level of contact. A light grazing is negligible, but a large gash will certainly be felt.

TheRambleMaster
Name:
Bakuya
Age by appearance:
Thirty Two
Gender:
Male
Race:
He was previously a shinigami, who is now currently the primera espada - who was a vasto lorde before changing into an arrancar.
Appearance:
(I will draw him at some point, but until then you'll haveta live with how I describe him)
He stands at about 5'7''1/2 height, his body built sleek, not much muscle mass or bones to be seen on his porcelain skin. His eyes are the usual hollow eyes- the whites being pitch black while the pupils are a yellow- but on occasion these yellow eyes will flash and burn a dark red, usually when hes over excited about something or aggravated beyond reason. Bakuya has red markings under his eyes, in the shape of triangles that curve in (will provide picture). He is usually bathed in waist length blood red hair, which he prefers not to tie back in any manner even if the thing gets in his face and obscures his vision momentarily.
Being a bit of a rogue- he will on habit wear the usual white arrancar outfit but with the shinigami robes under it; whether or not it suits him better or is comfortable. But generally he wears the white outfit open, exposing his chest but closed at his waist line. The sleeves are long, sometimes slipping over his hands making it difficult for him to maneuver- it being something he likes very much so, despite how silly it looks at times. His hollow hole is placed over the center of his chest, the hole usually large for most hollows- along with this one can see that the whole has started to warp some in a freakish manner, the edges cracking open some to allow a few branches to cut through the other's skin (I will provide a picture for this along with the full body and his broken mask). With this his arrancar mask happens to be sitting on his right eyebrow, part of the bone moving down against the side of his face until it end over the side of his right cheek bone. More of the bottom half of the jaw in intact compared to the top, this along with the top piece over his eyebrow showing a few stripes along with a bit of horn jutting out the edge.
His zanpkatou rests on his back rather than his hips, the sheathe barely seen from under his hair, while the handle juts out from his stands- the handle being a rusted black with silver straps, a small red jews dangles from a loose strand of blood stained rope tied to the end. With this another blade hangs loosely to his left hip, looking as if its his real blade, but in truth its simply the blade that he guards Metsubou, the hilt is a burned black with a silver tip at the end, that with blade sheathe tightly bound with red buckles - not much more to see to it.
Personality:
He is generally a laid back individual who will probably not go out of the way for anyone unless they have some past connection with him. He tends to not complain much, let alone talk- so it is hard to make the arrancar state his mind about things let alone what or why he was doing something. Its just the way he acts. He tends to keep most in the dark, especially about his past as a shinigami in the 13 court guard squads. Most will not meet with his expectations and will easily be met with his cruel tone and actions, very few are ever given affectionate from him and even fewer are considered valuable by him. In general he is silent and unnerving, rarely saying a word unless it is absolutely necessary. (kinda like muramasa, but it doesn't always lead to the inner world, it can let him simply enter the body to damage the internal organs, is usually a last resort)
Abilities:
Gran Rey Cero, Sonido, Hierro, Pesquisa, Teleportation.
Merge Phasing: Has the ability to temporarily merge into another soul's body- much like how zanpaktou can materalize and go back into their owners, but it is generally done unwillingly with some resistance from the individual being invaded; the higher mental capability the harder it is to enter. Needs to be in direct contact of the target to proceed, for example- holding onto their arm, otherwise it doesn't work.
Release command: alma grito abandonado = cry forsaken soul
His body warps to get long sheets of fabric that flutters off his thin body rather than his normal clothing, his mask regenerates to show the markings of a skull with horns jutting out his temple, the eye sockets bleeding blood steadily as if like a fountain. His skin becomes almost see through- but not able to see his insides, at his back one can see a set of black chains clamped into his skin tightly. The chains slowly fall off as he reaches max power and speed.
Emoción Cero: He is able to gather the energy created by another's emotion and use it to power up a special cero that he uses. The beam is not as large as others- in fact it in only about as wide as one's fist, but it moves at an incredible pace with great force able to sever limbs if point in the correct alignment with one's ligaments.
(Other abilities have either not been used or have not been discovered yet)
History:
He had once been a low ranking soul reaper in soul society, not allowed to progress into the higher ranks for several reasons- his mental stability was one of the reason and his unusual want for blood had forced the higher ups to keep the young man under wraps with cleaning jobs just like the healing squad- even though he was placed under the 5th squad. For several years he lived simply cleaning what he was told to, but slowly he grew attached to a few friends that had treated him with kindness. One of the few happened to be a male who had under Yamamoto's orders had to guard a special sword named Metsubou, this sword without much doubt was a feared blade that very few had heard of even in the higher ups of Soul Society. The male named Kin had shown Bakuya the blade on several occasions saying that if anything where to happen to him that the mischievous blade would be given over to him. He was ordered that if he was ever given the thing, he would never use it against any living soul.
Soon war had come upon soul society and unbeknown to Kin, he would be used as a sacrifice to end the strife. The male was executed by the blade he was protecting from others on a night he had disobeyed orders and gone on a killing spree (spurred on by the whispers of the blade), with the taste of blood the blade seemed to lament the whole night wanting more, telling its owner to continue its killing spree. The blade of destruction wished for more throughout the night and in the end it was given it as Kin was executed by the hand of another whom dove the blade deep into the shinigami's heart. The strife was covered up quickly so none would know what had happened and the blade was passed to Bakuya, knowing no reason as to why his closest friend Kin had died. He lived out several years - 50 to be exact until learning the real reason as to why the man he had hoped to stay with for sometime had died.
At the the realization of whom had killed his friend -soul society, he had completely lost it. His soul hollowfying swiftly as he clutched the murderous Metsubou in his hands; without a word he left soul society, leaving others to guess about his whereabouts and his disappearance. For the next hundred or so years, including the war against Aizen he would only feed upon others before reaching a height in strength and understanding- before he broke his mask off. Very few would come close to the vasto lorde let alone the arrancar as his hatred fermented for Soul society and blossomed at its peak while becoming the imperfect creature that he was.
Other:
He has a dark fixation with blood and tends to crave it at a constant. He tends to get lost in thought alot but will not show it. This plus he generally is seen glaring at his left hip due to the complaints from the blade he protects.
